Great variety of good food. Good service. Good salad bar. Great desert selection! Nice bacon.

I give this place a 10 ...on a pH scale because biz be BASIC! Came here Sunday afternoon with Jenney H after checking out the Salt Flats and casino hopping. It was $16.95 + tax and tip per person. It was aaaaaaaaaaalright. It's a step-up from Hometown Buffet but below Golden Corral (at least in the meat carving department). Meals come with soft drinks. You can purchase alcoholic drinks from their cocktail menu. They advertise alcoholic mudslides and so forth for $8. This buffet is located in Rainbow Casino. Decor was basic, and my expectations were kept low as previously warned by several colleagues who've told me it won't be anything like the Las Vegas casinos. Although, I did still enjoy it very much! It's like a mini-Vegas that's only 1 hr 15 mins away from home! Worth it especially with the Salt Flats on the way up to Wendover! Service was alright for a buffet. I never got any water refills, but plates were taken away in a timely manner. Location itself had hints of cigarette smoke (typical of Casinos I suppose, but more pungent than Montego Bay Casino & Resort). Produce station had a modest selection of fruits (green & purple grapes, cantaloupe, pineapple, and melon), mixed greens, and bread. I enjoyed the fruits but they weren't particularly fresh--cut, trayed, and sitting out for who knows how long. Mongolian BBQ was probably the most unique part of this buffet. There was a huge array of sauces, veggies, fruits (i.e. pineapple), protein, and carbs to choose from. They are decently efficient. Taste was good depending on how much sauce you put in it & how you portion things, but meat was overcooked (which is common at many Mongolian BBQ places). Chinese Food. Seriously just like Americanized Chinese food take-out. There's orange chicken, sweet and sour pork, chow mein, and beef stir fry. Not a huge lot of variety, but there were fortune cookies! Mexican food. There are nachos, hard corn tortillas, and hard flour tortillas with a side of several condiments (chopped onions, jalapenos, chopped tomatoes, salsa, guacamole, grated cheddar cheese, and chopped iceberg lettuce). Protein includes beans and ground beef. There was also Mexican rice. I was alright and just what I'd expect from a buffet place. Carving station consisted of ham, turkey, and prime rib. The prime rib was tough, semi-moist, salty coat, and bland overall. There's horseradish sauce and au jus sauce to complement the prime rib. Also there are three types of potatoes (mashed, chopped boiled, and whole fingerling boiled) and steamed veggies galore to go with the carving station. Seasoning was basic. This area was one of the weaker aspects of the meal. There was also trays of pulled pork, BBQ ribs, corned beef, trout, salmon, etc. There are also pathetic headless de-shelled pre-boiled shrimps over ice that no one cared to touch...probably more for show than anything. Dessert is guarded by a server. She plates each dessert beforehand and will hand them to you as you pick and choose from behind a glass case. There is a decent variety with huge portions. There is baklava, croissants, cake, cheesecakes, cookies, pie, chocolate covered strawberries, and several other pastry options. To the side is also some soft serve that's the only dessert that's self serve. Tip: Prices are listed: Weekday Lunch (M-F 11a-3:30p): $13.95 Weekday Dinner (after 4pm): $16.95 Weekend Brunch (Saturday-Sunday 9a-3:30p): $16.95 Seafood Extravaganza (Friday after 4pm): $27.95 Saturday Spectacular (Saturday after 4pm): $22.95 Tip 2: Check out Living Social for a bus tour deal! I believe it's $22 for 2 people (Sunday-Thursday) which includes a free buffet. I might check this out next time I come back.

Prime rib was overcooked I think it was from the night before. Eventually they brought out one that was cooked perfectly.

Easy 4 stars. Thank you for the trucker discount on the buffet and the free cocktail! It was a awesome ending to a day full of 4 wheelers cutting me off while talking on there cell trying to prove there more deadlier than 40 tons of truck that takes the length of a football field to safely stop at 65mph. Eveybody wants there fluffy Charmin Ultra Soft, Mega Rolls, 6 Count Pack but then try and kill us getting it to you... Okay rant is over..... This buffet was really good had all the buffet goodies. What stuck out most was the oysters. I love oysters but 9 out of 10 times will pass them up cause they just don't look right. I must of ate 30 of them here they were fresh and juicy and ice down. Really good stuff! The mushroom steak and prime rib was top notch as well. Asparagus where cooked just right. This was well worth the stop. I easily put away three plates. The desserts were really good too.

My friend and I have searched for Wendover best buffet online. The name Rain Forest Buffet had then popped up in front of us. However, we have looked in three different casino and still could not find the buffet. We then decided to ask for help. A lady there told me that Bamini buffet used to call Rain Forest buffet, they have changed their name recently. Not bad for a buffet at a price like this. Not too many choices for food, but I like their ham and cookies. Their cookies were much better than I thought they would be. However, they have the worst service I've never seen. They are being so rude and though it is their fault, they didn't even apologize to us. I don't think I'll willing to dine here again.

Got us checked in quickly . Room is nice and comfortable. Ate dinner at the Mexican restaurant inside the casino. Played the slot machines for several hours. Floor staff were also very nice. By contrast.... Roberto at the bar closest to the service and front desk was horrible. Couldn't get my player card to work while trying to play a poker machine and he continued to harass us after we ordered a beer. We had played several hours and had no problems on the floor with the 2 beers we had. He continued to hover and continually asks" are you gonna play , buddy?" Over and over. We were playing but had a glitch with the card not reading my loaded $ on the player card. Asked what the deal was.... we're trying to get the card to work. He said" they are watching" you need to be playing to have a beer. True and also we were playing. Just having a card issue. Finally just told him to take the beer back and went to the front desk to get a new card. Didn't come to be harassed and treated rudely by the bartender. We are paying for a room, ate dinner at the restaurant, playing the slots all day and he was very out of line. Don't go to the bar where Roberto works!

I took my crew here on Saturday for the dinner that runs from 4pm till 10:30 pm. We got here a little after opening, cause that's when the food is the best at any buffet. Inside is actually pretty nice, like any bigger casino buffet. Service was very nice and friendly and drinks were brought out quick. There were plenty of people here, so I'm thinkin that it must be good. We all know how to do buffets, so my crew just went right up and got whatever they wanted. I usually go for the meats first and the seafood if it looks good. There was prime rib for the meats and crab for the seafood as the main attractions. We all got our fill and I'd say the food quality was very good, maybe not Vegas level, but you gotta look where we are. I think these casinos server the cross border Utah market.

The Nugget is no longer the place it once was. I have been staying here for years and have sadly…read moreseen the quality and hospitality go down hill every year. This last trip was the absolute worst in the hotel. First, I called down to the Pit to get a room as I always do, and found out that all comps are handled differently than in the past. Although I haven't played a lot since COVID, my play in the past was appreciated and they always took care of me. I would have expected them to want that level of play back, but oh well. When we arrived to check-in at 8:00pm, we stood there waiting for almost 30 minutes for the 4 people helping 2 guests! Was a joke, but got checked in. The room we got had walls so thin you could seriously hear the guests whispering in bed through the walls. We asked to move but they said the hotel was sold out. We gambled for a while and ended up making a few hundred dollars. Even though the casino was packed, dance floor was full, and plenty of people giving this casino lots of money, it took almost 25 minutes to cash in chips from blackjack at the cage!!! One window girl dealing with a guy trying to get money out of numerous over drawn credit cards and her manager standing behind her doing nothing while a long line formed! Are you kidding me??? On a busy Saturday night, this is how you treat people trying to get their money back? We then decided to rest and gamble the next day. Off to the room... We now noticed that the bed did not have any blankets on it and only 2 very thin pillows. We called down and they said nobody was available to run them up to us and that we would have to come down. This was just past 2:00am and we were already laying down. How is there NO STAFF to do anything??? I went down to get the blankets and pillows. When I arrived they found two thin blankets but explained that they just gave away their last pillows! I asked the girl for a late checkout and she at least was pleasant and gave me till noon. We put the do not disturb sign on the door and went to bed. Guess what? Knock on the door at 8:00am!!! I called down and talked to Nick who confirmed that he saw the "Late Checkout" notes on my account but offered no apology. I wanted to talk to the manager, he placed me on a very long hold and I hung up and called back. He then said it wasn't him, but I could tell it was him. Then he said that him manager, Tammy, was in an hour long meeting and could be disturbed. He said he would talk to house keeping. An hour and a half later, knock knock, house keeping!!! At this point I'm mad and really want to talk to Tammy. Guess what?? Yup, still in that hour meeting apparently!!! This is the WORST run hotel I have ever been in. I can get past the out dated room, the thin walls, the lack of basic linens, etc. but the complete lack of any qualified staff, complete disregard for guests, and the lack of any hospitality is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel that supports this no longer shining nugget of a washed up has been casino! Unfortunately, it's time to go to another casino and not run by this same management team!!!! Slight Update: Tammy was able to talk with me and my wife before we left and offered us a room voucher for a "bounce back" between now and when it expires in May and assured us that she was going to address as much as she could. She did have the cleaning staff in her office at the time we spoke. Hope things get better. I will try to come again before the end of May and will post an update then. Sincerely, Greg & Amy
