A smaller casino that's been around a long time in Crystal Bay. It doesn't look like anything…read morespecial but it has loyal customers. Jim Kelley's Tahoe Nugget is mostly known for the casino but they have other amenities like places to drink and eat. Has no hotel if you're staying in the area. The casino has kind of a stink but it's pretty clean though. It gets a lot of locals in the casino. Since this is a small place it's easier to remember customers. The casino is the main thing. It currently doesn't have any table games. The other thing here is the restaurant. It serves basic fried and grilled American food. This means things like burgers and steaks. Here you can get the local version of the famous Awful Awful Burger. There's nothing good to recommend to a vegetarian here except maybe some corn or something. Boring during the day so at that time don't come. It picks up around dinner. They get people coming to eat and locals come after working.

Extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience! The bartender was rude, aggressive, and openly…read moremocking. After ordering Don Julio Reposado, she poured the wrong shots and responded by saying "avocado" in a sarcastic tone when we corrected her instead of SIMPLY fixing the mistake. She then left us alone and started attending other customers and mocked us again by saying "un momento" in a disrespectful way as she is walking away. Things escalated quickly for no reason--she took our beer, accused us of "refusing to leave" without ever asking us to leave, and threatened to get me arrested! This behavior felt discriminatory and completely unprofessional. No one should be treated this way. I would not recommend this place!! Especially for people of color!

We dined once again recently with guests who were visiting from out of town. And, once again, Bite…read moredid not disappoint. A few additional thoughts... - The crafted cocktails are very interesting, but on the small side. - Our server recommended that we think about needing to order two dishes per person, but we found that 6 dishes for the 4 of us were plenty. - The food, once again, was very tasty. Our favorites this time were the Ricotta Gnuddi, Grilled Halibut, Filet Mignon, and the Pork Baby Back Ribs. - The vibe and fact that the dishes are brought out to the table slowly and incrementally makes the entire dining experience especially social/enjoyable.

Decent spot - much nicer inside than expected. Service was prompt and friendly and I was excited to…read moresee some mocktails on the menu. We were going to make a reservation but a credit card was required - that felt excessive for a reservation on a Wednesday night so we risked it and just showed up. We were early (5:30) so we got seated right away. We got a variety of appetizers after my mocktails (very gingery, yum!). The ribs had a great sauce but were overcooked a bit. The burrata was nice but crostini was so hard I thought it might tear up my mouth. Gnuddi was tasty but very oily. Great ambience and perfect for a wine drinker - extensive list. We would bring family or friends there for a night classy night out, but it wasn't overwhelmingly amazing to us.

Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5…read moreAmbiance: 5/5 We ordered: - crab cakes appetizer: the mango salsa was so good, the mango pieces were ripe and soft, and the crab cakes themselves had good outer crunchy texture with soft filling - new york steak, medium to medium well: I usually find places will make medium to medium well steak at just barely medium rare to medium, but this place definitely cooked it very thoroughly, seemed closer to well-done. The steak was a little too chewy and tough for my taste, but overall good flavor. I loved the wild rice pilaf side! - lemonade and sierra sunburn: both really fresh and seemed like they were made from fresh lemons! the raspberry in the sunburn was great The lighting was warm and the lights were really overhead. The benches were comfortable and not cold to sit on, and overall nice, clean, comfy environment. Service was really friendly and apologized that the drinks menu didn't have dairy-free options for some of the drinks with dairy, overall really attentive and engaging. We found a lot of street parking a few minutes away and walked over, also took a walk on the lake beach right behind it which was super pretty

Dog-friendly vibes, jaw-dropping Lake Tahoe views, and super friendly, efficient service--even with our multiple beer sample requests. I devoured the seared ahi tuna topped with vibrant mango salsa (pro tip: test that fiery side sauce first--it's no joke!). My boyfriend loved his California chicken sandwich with those perfectly crispy, hot fries. Skipped the beer to save room for dessert--rich, indulgent, but perfectly balanced. Total winner! If you're in Kings Beach, Tahoe, this spot nails the lakeside chill with tasty food and unbeatable scenery. Highly
