Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - ordered Full Rack of Ribs to go. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender with just a slight crisp on the edges. We love that they include some of the edge pieces with the cartilage since it adds such a great texture. While the texture was great, the flavor was a bit lacking. There was just a hint of smokiness in flavor but it's heavily reliant on the sauce for taste. Service: 5/5 - friendly and super quick service on the counter! Ambiance: n/a/ - ordered food to go. Looks like it's a chain store but clean overall with plenty of seating. Value for price: 5/5 - delicious food, quick service, reasonable pricing! read more

Billy Sims BBQ - Full Rack of Ribs - Barbeque Near Me - Lawton, Oklahoma

Oh my where do I start, this is the worst bbq I've every eaten! Slimy, fatty and just down right nasty! Honestly I'd rather lick a cows a$$ than ever eat at one of these Billy Simms BBQ, they have no idea how to bbq and it's funny how they advertise they are the best in southwestern Oklahoma. That's a load of crap for sure! Run do not eat this stuff, it's even was than Oklahoma Joes and that stuff is nasty too!! read more

The last sandwich I bought there barely had an ounce of meat on it. Brisket sandwich. I had been waiting to have this sandwich for months after chemo and radiation, which changes your taste for lots of foods. It was good, but not worth what I paid for it. Needless to say, I have never been back since. That was eleven years ago. They don't get a second chance with my money. read more

Baked beans - this was sweet, which was a change because I''ve always had salty ones. Corn on the cob - not bad, I just wish they used younger corn Cole slaw - OK, not too watery, balance between salt and sugar is good. Ribs and brisket - they lack character. Not smoky enough, not burnt enough, they are juicy, tender but at the same time kinda bland. I'm used to TX BBQ where they emphasize smokey BBQ and infused with flavor, maybe that's the difference. Price - certainly not cheap read more

Amazing ribs some of the best I've had in a minute the meat was basically falling off the bone.

Food was ok, but looked like crap when I got it. Customer service was friendly. I always go back to this location hoping it better than the last experience, but never is. read more

Food was extremely salty. Did not have any flavor at all. You could definitely tell it wasn't smoked in a smoker. There were 3 people dining and know one liked it. Service was decent however you just walk up to counter and order and go back to counter to get your order read more

The banana pudding cup & the pulled pork tasted great! The rest not so much! The potato salad tasted like it came from Sysco foods or Walmart. The Mac & cheese tasted like stouffers. I was sweating while trying to guard my food from the flies and no air conditioning in the restaurant. read more

Polite and friendly service from the staff; Food (BBQ) was average. It was very quiet when I went so perhaps it's a bit more lively when it's a packed house. read more

Our Thanksgiving story: So it's just me and my two kids here in Lawton, Oklahoma for his Army Basic graduation. We were looking all over town for a place to eat that was open and that didn't have a huge line.....Fat chance!!! Our only options were drive thru places. Suddenly, we get a whiff of some yummy BBQ coming out of a strip mall restaurant, except Billy Sims BBQ was closed to customers. Bruce and Byrd had been there cooking for local stores and news stations and actually let us place an order to go after we opened the unlocked door. They were so cool to let us do this. We brought our meal to the hotel room and had a nice and fresh meal that was made to order. Totally unexpected!!! I wanted to thanks these two!!! My receipt says the address is 1820 W Gore so I hope this is the correct location. read more

This place is one of the best places I've eaten serving BBQ. If you like BBQ, this is the place. The staff is up beat and social. The prices is very reasonable and food delicious. I'll come back again once I'm back in town. I would like to see one in Colorado, there are lots of Okies in Colorado like myself who would love this;) read more

My children and I have a chance to try the BBQ here around thanksgiving time. We spent over $50 and had the most dry brisket we ever had. The shocking point wasn't the price but the fact that the sides were completely wrong. I give them 3 stars because atleast they "tried", and the BBQ beans were my kids favorite touch however the proportions were insanely small for the kids sizes. If you're looking for BBQ while in lawton area, this ain't it. read more

order was wrong, the employee decided to argue that it is not wrong, and i was not brought what was paid for, sent pictures with obvious mistake, was offered a $5 credit. Poor customer service bottom line. read more

Came to Lawton for the weekend on the last day we discovered Billy's BBQ and I wish we would have seen it earlier in our trip. The best brisket sandwich I've ever had!!
