We love that they include some of the edge pieces with the cartilage since it adds such a great texture. While the texture was great, the flavor was a bit lacking. Baked beans - this was sweet, which was a change because I''ve always had salty ones. Corn on the cob - not bad, I just wish they used younger corn Cole slaw - OK, not too watery, balance between salt and sugar is good. Ribs and brisket - they lack character. Not smoky enough, not burnt enough, they are juicy, tender but at the same time kinda bland. I'm used to TX BBQ where they emphasize smokey BBQ and infused with flavor, maybe that's the difference. abysmal service in cache road store. we ordered online and the order was completely wrong. the store was closed by the time we got home. they were so disorganized when we went to pick up our order. Our Thanksgiving story: So it's just me and my two kids here in Lawton, Oklahoma for his Army Basic graduation. We were looking all over town for a place to eat that was open and that didn't have a huge line.....Fat chance!!! Our only options were drive thru places. Suddenly, we get a whiff of some yummy BBQ coming out of a strip mall restaurant, except Billy Sims BBQ was closed to customers. Bruce and Byrd had been there cooking for local stores and news stations and actually let us place an order to go after we opened the unlocked door. They were so cool to let us do this. We brought our meal to the hotel room and had a nice and fresh meal that was made to order. Totally unexpected!!! I wanted to thanks these two!!! My children and I have a chance to try the BBQ here around thanksgiving time. We spent over $50 and had the most dry brisket we ever had. The shocking point wasn't the price but the fact that the sides were completely wrong. I give them 3 stars because atleast they "tried", and the BBQ beans were my kids favorite touch however the proportions were insanely small for the kids sizes. Came to Lawton for the weekend on the last day we discovered Billy's BBQ and I wish we would have seen it earlier in our trip. The best brisket sandwich I've ever had!! Really enjoyed getting taken out from here and it used to be awesome, unfortunately it has really gone down hill with food quality. The last 2 times we got take out from them we were dissatisfied . I hope they get their act together and start serving quality food again! read more
