Twice in the recent months, I have ordered pizza from Billy Bricks, and both times my pizza has been delivered cold! The most recent order, I was quoted at delivery time and did not receive my pizza until 45 minutes passed that time. Whether delivery or pick up they will ruin your pizza experience. It may be best to eat in the restaurant versus delivery or pick up. The one star is for making the pizza! Sadly, I must write this to warn others about the bad service and delivery I had to suffer. read more

Finally great brick oven pizza in Oak Park. Every type of pizza we tried was fantastic. Had to order another plate of meatballs for my 6 year old, so it's definitely kid approved. Have had a few pizzas dining in and from their food truck-all have been great. They're served fresh to order and quick directly from their wood fired ovens. Tip-Best to eat it hot and fresh dining in or from their food truck since it's a thin, lighter crust pizza. Otherwise I can see it getting cold and soggy fairly quick. read more

I'm done. I have had 4 orders go wrong with their online ordering app. 3 times I specifically ordered delivery, and even tipped for delivery, only to find out an hour later that it's pick up. Why would I tip a driver for pick up? This last time, no one even called after not picking up after an hour. My pizza was cold again. After calling the restaurant and complaining, a Rich Hernandez who claims to be the manager basically berated me on the phone and treated me to the worst customer service skills I've ever experienced. He actually told me to leave a bad review on yelp! If not for the poor customer service, I would not leave a bad review and would encourage people to give it a try. I used to go to the Bricks in Lombard and loved their food. And sometimes I'll get a good meal from the Oak Park restaurant, but not often enough to keep going. I always order the marguerita pizza but tonight is now the second time that instead of fresh mozzarella it came covered with yellow cheese. Honestly it might have been velveeta. The crust was great but either the cheese or the sauce was so over salted that I'm still thirsty. I pitched half of it. Grubhub is too expensive for an unreliable place. Good pizza. The Brick is a great combination of toppings and their crust is fantastic - moderately sweet, soft inside and crispy outside. The meatballs are really tasty too and once you eat them you understand "why the raisins". So very good. Atmosphere is comfortable and the staff very friendly. It's really hard for me to put this review up because I love Billy Brick's food. Our family orders from them all the time. In a crunch it's a go to for us. In our go to moment we ordered for our family of seven. You can imagine the cost of that. I ordered the Italian grinder which I considered by far the best Italian sandwich that I have yet to find in the area. Sadly an hour after eating the sandwich I ended up sick. All evening and into the next morning around 6am getting sick. The next day I slept all day long from exhaustion. I finally was well enough to call the restaurant on Memorial Day (which they were closed) to tell them how sick I got from the food. They called me back Tuesday acknowledging my call and concern and expressed their regret "if it was indeed the sandwich" that made me sick. She explained their practice of food safety and reassured me that their food was safe. While I appreciated hearing their practice of keeping the food safe she failed to acknowledge my sickness and loss of my entire Memorial Day weekend. I'm not sure what I expected but it was something more than the flatness and facts that were provided to me. read more

I love this Bricks in Oak Park! Great atmosphere and convenient parking in public lot. They have a full menu to satisfy the whole family. Try the stromboli or one of their draft beers. We are currently planning to do some birthday parties there. Can't wait! read more

We rented the truck which brought a wood burning oven to our home and they made pizza's for the wedding rehearsal dinner. It was out of this world. I would do it again in a heartbeat. The difference with this pizza restaurant and all the other ones in town is that it's wood fired. That means these pizzas will cook fast. I came in at peak dinner time and got my pizza to go in less than ten minutes. I'm very happy with the turnaround time as well as the energy the staff was putting out. Some of the reviewers may be unfamiliar with how these pizzas cook; they're not paper thin crispy pizzas! They're going to be chewy and charred. It's great. read more

The pizza was flavored very well, and I didn't mind the char which tasted very sooty, but it was soggy and gummy, not soft and elastic. This place was so neat! I loved the atmosphere here. The benches are so cool and confortable. I noticed the have booths too and regular tables. I loved the system of you ordering your food at counter and they bring you the food to your table. The food was amazing! We order a pizza, half pepperoni and cheese. For appetizer we had, bread wedges I think. The bread was so soft and really good. Pricing was not bad and the people were super nice and friendly. The food was fast. Even the pizza didn't take 4o simething minutes as most places. I think it was faster than that. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the good quality food. The restaurant is a joke. Ordered through grub hub for pickup. Initial ready time was 15 minutes. Then it changed to 30-40 minutes Never received confirmation that the order was ready. When picked up the pizza was cold and similar to damp cardboard. Will never order from Billy Bricks again. read more

Finally decided to try this place and ordered a 14" pizza and two appetizers. Even though we live about a six-minute drive from the restaurant, all three items arrived cold. Not just lukewarm, but cold, as if they'd been sitting out for an hour. We also paid $2.50 extra to add pepperoni, and got all of ten thin slices on the entire pizza. That's 25 cents per piece and barely more than one piece of pepperoni per slice of pizza. Outrageous. Can't testify to the quality of the pizza itself since mine was cold and chewy, so maybe it's better if you eat in. read more

Purchased a Living Social deal for two pizzas. Called the number on the voucher for the location in my neighborhood. At the very top of the voucher it specifically says the deal is good Sunday through Wednesday. When I call, the restaurant has no clue about this deal. Kept asking questions and made me read the voucher back. Then came back and said it's only good on Thursdays? How can they have no clue about a deal they advertise on Living Social or at least give me an opportunity to use it by showing them the details on the voucher. They refused to honor it. Ive never been her before, and guess I wont ever. I contacted Living Social with the details and got a full refund for this "deal". I guess they dont need the business. read more

Called for takeout pizzas and salads on a Friday evening around 4:30pm. The young gal that took my order told me an hour. Thought I was catching them early so I agreed to it. Showed up right at the hour mark, and there was a line. Waited another 20 minutes just to talk to the cashier, and the guy running the orders tells me "they were just put in the oven". Meanwhile, I watch the cooks assemble them right there in front of me. Wait another 20 minutes inside while they are cooking, and then finally get my pies. Pizzas and salads are good as always (eat at the BB in Naperville all of the time), but will never wait an hour and 40 minutes for food ever again. Would consider going back after several months of being in full recovery from COVID, but not before then. Great food, but the coronavirus takeout order demand has made this place a total shitshow. read more

I was prepared to love Bricks, because I was so happy to see a new pizza place coming to town. We tried it right after they opened and didn't have a great experience, but agreed we'd give them some time to work out the kinks. Unfortunately our second visit a few weeks ago was about the same. Both times, all of the employees seemed really frazzled, rushed and stressed which doesn't lend itself to a relaxing or pleasant dining experience. Both times we ordered a salad to split and, when asked, said we wanted the salad before the pizza. Both times we waited quite a while for the salad to arrive, and it arrived just barely before the pizza. And we had to ask for clean plates. I see other people commenting on this, but the crust is soggy. We ordered a margherita pizza the second time, and there was hardly any fresh basil on it, and what was on it was in clumps. Finally, it's expensive, especially for a place where you stand in line to order at the counter and that effectively does not have wait staff. We were willing to give it a second try but, sadly, I don't think we'll be back. read more

I started out with 5 stars. After several weeks of ordering the pizza has gotten worse. Tonight they delivered two completely wrong pizzas so no dinner tonight. They said they are refunding but I still don't have dinner. I ordered gluten free crust and they delivered regular crust. I have a gluten allergy. Thank goodness I didn't eat it. Lost a customer. We have ordered pizza every Thursday. Will go elsewhere now. What a shame read more
