We've been waiting for a brick oven quick fire pizza place to come to Oak Park and have been eagerly awaiting Bricks. It doesn't disappoint! Great pizza, fast service, friendly, conscientious staff, cheerful dining room, and spotless restrooms. Good portions and value. They also feature Carol's Cookies, my all time favorite. Most of the time when ordering pizza, I'm usually in a debate with peers about toppings and such. What I love about Bricks, is they're all 12" and made fresh to order. Which means I can have my own pie my way! I ordered the white arugula with fresh mozz, prosciutto, roasted garlic topped with fresh arugula and a squeeze of lemon. The taste really stands out especially because of the wood fired crust. You'll want to eat the crust. I was pretty full after eating over half of it so i got the last 3 out of 8 pieces to go but I ate them an hour later in my car. Looking forward to trying some more kinds. Well, I'll start by saying that we went here for the first time last Saturday (4.7) and came back AGAIN today with friends! Such a great atmosphere, wonderful staff, and delicious food! It is exactly what Oak Park needs. A specialty pizza place that's family friendly AND delicious. The owner's wife, Carrie, is so personable and I already feel like I know her after being there only twice! If you live in the area, you're missing out not trying this place. I ordered online, my pizza was cold, there was barely any cheese. Pizza was cold crap. Chuckie Cheese makes better pizza. Never again.

I ordered "The Big Piluski Our House Tomato Sauce, with Our House Cheese Blend, Oven-Roasted Artichokes Hearts and Roasted Red Peppers, Prosciutto, Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Black Olives." I was not impressed. My pizza was soggy in the middle and the toppings wouldn't stay on. The pizza dough itself was good and the cheese they had at the table to add on was definitely a higher grade than you usually find but I really expected more. Soggy pizza is just...no. I make my own pizza often but it was hot and I didn't want to fire up my oven. I know that you have to make sure the ingredients, especially veggies are cooked and have been blotted dry before you add them so they don't make your pizza soggy. I don't think they are doing that. The responses from the owner to other complaints about the sogginess just sound defensive so apparently they do not want to do anything about it. Yay!! I no longer have to drive all the way to Forno Rosso to get proper neapolitan pizza! Can't say enough about this place. Service was excellent, pizza was top notch and the skillet cookie with ice cream was a very happy ending. The Margherita pizza was particularly delicious. Creamy, sweet, perfect crust...melted in my mouth. Needless to say, I ate way too much - the one drawback - total loss of any self-control. So we ordered delivery, two 12" pizzas. Order was correct, and it arrived on time. Ingredients were good, flavors are solid. As usual with delivery the crispiness of the crust directly from the oven is gone. But the crust was kind of tough and leathery; with a large band of thick crust on the outside edge that lacked either flavor or appealing texture. You gotta like pizza crust if you are going to like Brick's pizza; especially delivery. With a 15% tip, the two pizzas came to around $45. Not doing that again with all the great options nearby. read more

I ordered for the LAST time from Bricks today. Five times I've ordered to support them thru this pandemic shutdown. The last three times, my Quattro Formaggi pizza has come with so little cheese that I think they've interpreted Quattro to mean one-fourth, rather than FOUR cheeses. Unbelievable and infuriating that they're shorting the cheese in cheese pizza when their very continued existence depends on people like me ordering. Well, no more. I took advantage of the Thursday promotion 2 for $20. Big Big mistake. They charge a $4.99 delivery charge which is fine, my bill came to $30. Unfortunately when I received the pizza, it was not only COLD but the taste of it was really, really bad. EXTREMELY SPICEY! I'm not one to complain, however, I called there and was told by the person in charge, there was absolutely nothing they could do, that the pizza was made correctly. I told her, that I had only eaten one piece of the pizza and I was willing to bring both pizza back to the Oak Park location. She said they had no need to get the pizza's back and I should complain to corporate in Lombard. BAD ATTITUDE, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, EXTREMELY POOR RESPONSE TO A PROBLEM. Maybe this is an Oak Park Billy Bricks problem, but they should have common sense then to leave a child in charge. My recommendation is to order any and all pizza from Bertolli's Pizza in River Forest @ 708-771-2820 (WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL PIZZA) . Don't make the same mistake I made. Sometimes a proven pizza business like Bertolli's,(708-771-2820) , is not only concerned about their customers, but has better tasting pizza. Stay as far away from this place as possible. read more

We ordered the margherita pizza and it was actually soggy. It was not at all what we expected. The sunny side up pizza was good and the crust seemed crispy and not wilting like the margherita. The Greek salad was good. read more

First, I ordered the Quattro Formaggi. The menu board said it was $12.00. However, I was charged $13.00. The girl ringing me up didn't know what to do so she called out to the manager and he told her that it is 13.00 in the paper menus on the counter. I told the girl to look at the board and it says 12; I want to pay 12. Of course she turns to the manager and he says, "Fine, whatever." I said, "Wow. He's pleasant." to which the cashier replied, "we are really busy." It was dinner time but it wasn't exactly crazy busy. Either way, I got it for 12, and when the manager handed me the pizza, he was nicer. The pizza is ok, the sauce and the crust are a bit salty. The problem with this restaurant is that there are too many screaming whining kids there...and it is next to Oberweiss Dairy, which means this place will probably just be a family place, isolating any upscale, adult customers who want a bite and a brew. The set up here is like fast food, and the menu board has too many things on it, making ordering a nightmare...hence, the busy-ness. The pizza isn't good enough to make me go through that again. What works for Naperville or Lombard doesn't make it work in other towns. I predict this place will do well through the summer and then the business will drop like a lead balloon. I ordered through DoorDash but their platform was down and I ended up getting my pizza 2.5 hours later. Bricks called to let me know they were trying to handle it from their end and gave me some info on how long they would be there after closing in case a dasher showed up after hours for my order. I like my pizzas delivered uncut and that's just what happened so even tho I had something else to eat last night I can heat the Bricks up today without a problem. Rich from Bricks even gave me a free cookie for the trouble, which I had with my coffee this morning. It was a situation that was no ones fault and it was handled nicely. Update on this location. Possibly worst service experienced in a pizza place. Firstly I tried calling my order in advance and nobody answered the phone after several attempts. When I arrived in person I understood why. They just weren't answering the phone because they were busy. Literally picking it up and then hanging up! Two guys making pizzas were painfully slow. Making two pizzas at a time and painstakingly arranging the edges on their plates. Unbelievably bad service and not worth the wait. Sorry Billy Bricks. You had me and now you lost me. read more

Car broke down on highway last night, Thanksgiving. Mechanic does not return until Monday, so already frustrated. Since I was without transportation, I decided to research Yelp for good pizza delivery places. Bricks looked good, so I placed an order for a pizza and a piece of cheesecake. The Grubhub driver called on time and said she was out front. She only had the pizza, but said she would go right back to the restaurant and get the cheesecake. I called Bricks to explain, and the nice girl on the phone apologized, and said they refunded me for the cheesecake as they were out of stock. I asked her why they simply didn't call me to ask if I wanted a substitute, which would have changed the entire experience, to which she had no answer. She also told me that the Grubhub driver was told this when the pizza was picked up. So I went about my business expecting the carrot cake that the girl offered as an apology to be delivered any moment. Never happened. Went to Grubhub support, and they were even less helpful. Bottom line; will never visit Brick, and will never trust Grubhub in the future. This all could have been so simple. . . read more

I've been meaning to try this place for awhile but quite hesitant, given the mixed reviews. Since it was my first visit, I'm caught in the middle with the three stars. The pro is basically the crust and that the basil was fresh. It does help that they sell my favorite wine at a reasonable cost. So here comes the cons. First, the classic margherita was underwhelming. It states that it has hand crushed tomatoes but it had a thin watery like sauce with little to no taste. The cheese was sparse and overall the pizza was lackluster. I added the mix of mild and spicy sausage and the flavor didn't deliver there either. Lastly, I'm not quite sure how I feel about the service. The cashier was pleasant but the woman who brought our pizza to the table was less than friendly. I know it isn't quite full service, but I was at least expecting some sort of check up in between. Maybe that's just because I come from the hospitality industry. I'm willing to give this place another try, I'm hoping maybe I caught them on an off day. read more

Wow! We have had the gluten-free pizzas here several times and it is our favorite gf crust ever! It is handmade on the premises and is just the right combination of chewy and crispy on the edges. I love the artichoke pesto pizza, my traditional husband likes to make his own, and our dairy-free son adores the BBQ chicken with vegan cheese. The pizzas always taste fresh and savory. read more

On the whole, a good experience. I ordered the Artichoke, Pesto and Peppers combo from DoorDash. The delivery was timely and the pizza was oven hot. Unfortunately, the driver must have tipped it in the car as the ingredients were completely collected on one end of the pizza. After a reassembly, I dug in and found it to be cheesy and tasteful, with a great crust. I thought the toppings were on the light side as I could have done with more artichokes and peppers. This is the second time I've gone to a Bricks Wood Fired Pizza establishment. I was disappointed the first time, but I thought, well, maybe they were having an off-night. So I tried the new Bricks in Oak Park. Same experience. Their pizza just isn't up to snuff. My biggest problem is that there seems to be no differentiation between the crust, the sauce, and the cheese. It's all fused into one pasty, dry, tasteless wedge. I guess it's eatable, but I'm not going to eat any more of it. There's LOTS better pizza to be had all over the neighborhood. That said, the staff there is VERY nice. Friendly, accommodating people that make you feel right at home. Wish I could say that the pizza doesn't suck, but it does. If you love pizza, my advice is to go elsewhere. read more

Been to the downtown Lombard location on several occasions. Service has been exceptional and the menu has never disappointed. If you're looking for something different than the traditional pizza place, look no further. read more
