1.8.26 This is one very good seafood restaurant. The food is good and always fresh. What's not to like about fried seafood? Ammi right? I've been coming here for more years than I care to count, since I was a kid. Multiple years upon multiple. They're located right by the whistling bridge for those of you who know the bridge is called that. There's a large lengthy parking lot which is usually close to full. There's am ice cream place in the same parking lot which you can pass on. Please trust me in this. You're not missing anything. I've tried a few times. Not sure why I keep trying it. Anywho, Bill's Seafood is spot on. There's a very large outdoor deck with lots of tables. There's also indoor seating and a bar to sit at. Much easier to get a table a lot quicker if you opt to eat inside. I switch every now and then, depending on our preferences at any given day. The restaurant is plainly decorated. Nothing stands out. The majority of time I've been here the place is usually very busy and just about full. I've never had to wait long anytime for my food. They really whip out the food pretty quickly in the years I've been coming here. You will be pleasantly surprised at the time it takes you to get your food when you see how busy it is if you stop here. Very surprised. The restaurant is a clean as most places. They clean up well after the tables are turned. The service has never been anything remarkable as in awesome over the top and very hospitable. It's just solid, regular, good, quick service with receiving your food quickly. They must have a good amount of cooks in back. Seafood is ALWAYS fresh. I must repeat this. Never has this ever been an issue. Do yourself a favor and take a trip up here. You won't be disappointed. I truly recommend this place. A for sure, repeat spot. read more

Cash only! Great outdoor setting for the beautiful weather. The thoroughway (Boston Post Road) on one end of patio is quite loud. Tried the hot lobster roll ($28.95) which is sold ala carte. The amount of lobster filled about 55-60% of the roll. The roll was soggy and broke apart after the first bite. Would not recommend. read more

This restaurant doesn't accept reservations and ONLY accepts cash which feels weird. They have ATM inside if you need to withdraw money. Food was pretty good. We ordered: NE clam chowder soup - good Lobster roll platter - not worth the price more like some random pieces of lobster on a roll. Platter also comes with coleslaw and fries. Coleslaw was meh. My fault for not being specific! I assumed when I ordered the mussels our waitress knew I meant appetizer. Instead I got meal which was over a bowl of pasta I would never eat. The actual mussels were good but tomato base needed more spices. The fish dinner was fresh but coating and fries also lacked any flavor. The restaurant is clean. They allowed is to seat ourselves, as it wasn't too busy. Outside was packed and the only seats available were near the bridge, which is noisy. We went inside. Inside is clean and inviting, however, it's loud and the inside wasn't that busy. Staff was right on point. Draft beer nice and cold. The oysters on a half-shell were fresh, but not completely removed from the shell, so I needed to give them a helping hand. Sauce for the oysters was just nothing more than bad ketchup. Hardly had horseradish. I had whole belly clams which were very large in size. They were very good. I had them with sweet potato fries and slaw. The fries were excellent. Nice and crispy. The coleslaw was nothing special. Overall the food was very good. Bill's was recommended as a local seafood location on the water. First of all, looks are deceiving. The place is deceiving. It is huge so much space inside, bar space and a fun outdoor experience. Picnic tables are separate from an outdoor bar area. We were also surprised at the depth of the menu. Two pages of food from which to choose. As that is t enough, there was a page of specials. We both chose specials. Me - the poke bowl my friend the tuna soecial with mango also. Her tuna was either overcooked or not tuna. Mine was good not great. The silverware is a very very cheap plastic variety type. That would be a huge opportunity for an immediate upgrade. At least nice plastic. The place is cash only with an ATM on premise. read more

Normally I love Bill's. But this trip? Oh, God! First the good: clam chowder. Clam chowder is always good here. That's it. No more good on this trip. Though the calamari was not overly breaded and fairly tender, it was rather tasteless. The raw oysters which are generally at least above average were VERY tiny, not cleaned well, and stuck in their shells. They had no steamers this evening, and thus were not offering the shore dinners (a "go to" of mine when here). So I got the 1.25 pound lobster. I knew it would be small, so I asked about the stuffed lobster. Waiter said the stuffing was a good seafood stuffing. No. No it wasn't. It was like a small loaf of bread sitting on top of the lobster, not even in it. And it contained only a smattering of seafood. Ate two bites and tossed the rest. And the lobster? Maybe five bites total, and not cooked well at all. EXTREMELY disappointed. read more

Had a great time taking my wife out for her birthday dinner. She always wants to go to an establishment in another town but I wanted to take a ride and boy am I glad we did. It was my wife's first time here and she thought the food was fantastic. She had the Baked Fresh Cod and was in love. Was ready to go back for it the next night. Portion was huge. I had the Seafood platter and I will forever complain no matter where I am that there are too many fries and not enough seafood for the price but I will still always order it if it is there. I came here for an early lunch with my friend on a weekday so it was not busy at all which was nice! We sat on the patio by the shining bridge with a beautiful view and good service. We ordered a few items to share and all were super delicious. The clam chowder was light but creamy at the same time. Spent a beautiful afternoon enjoying fresh seafood on the patio on the water at Bills. You can hear the cars going over the bridge which is alittle loud. This was my first time eating here in a long time and wanted to try the whole belly clams. My first thought thought is the batter on them were alittle heavy compared to what I've had at other places but good. Filled you up faster w the batter. My friend got the small size clam strip roll which had more than my order. I have to say the New England Clam Chowder was very tasty and good. They chop up the clams very fine as it didn't seem like any clams in it only potatoes. We were greeted right away when we sat down at our picnic table with our waitress and she was very nice and explained the portion sizes when asked. Sundays are extremely busy there and very crowded and around 5 the band starts to play inside for entertainment. Overall I would definitely go back but choose something different. read more

The bar service is terrific, the ambiance what you expect from a bar on the shore. Food is really dicey. Prime rib is usually good but a hamburger and fries not so much. The fries are inedible, reminds me of my mom's. A bag of frozen fries thrown on a cookie sheet and cooked in the oven , absolutely dreadful. There Portuguese stuffed clams was nothing but breading, no clams no chorizo at 2 for $14.95. I'd rather buy Matlaws clam at the supermarket, they were much superior. Forget about the Poke bowl, advertised as avocado, shrimp, ediname, seaweed, etc. I had rice and a couple of pieces of overcooked, tiny shrimp in mayonnaise. Corn on the cob is tasteless. The staff is nice, so I might just have a drink there and go elsewhere to eat. McDonald's would have had better fries and I'd save $100. Bucks read more
