I purchased a used 2015 Jeep Wrangler from Billion Automotive Group in Bozeman, Montana. The salesman was excellent, however I had a problem with Tony in the F and I department. I originally purchased 3900 extended warranty for the jeep. After consideration I decided to cancel my extended warrantee as the jeep only had 12K miles. I filled out the form with Tony in finance department and he said he would fill in the rest and fax the form to the warranty company. He stated the warranty company would send a check to Billion and they in turn would send it to the bank that had the loan. 45 Days later this had not happened. I followed up with the general manager of the dealership and he personally handled the paperwork to the warranty company. Today December 1,2017 I called the warranty company and they said the check had been sent on November 22, 2017. It should not take eight weeks to get this fixed. Be careful with extended warranties they are grossly over priced and Mopar will sell you a 100 k warranty for roughly 1/3 the price. read more

Worst service department in the history of service departments!!! My daughter bought a jeep renegade from Billion. After the first year, her engine blew. She lives in Livingston, had it towed to Yellowstone Motors. They were willing and able to replace the engine in a few weeks. My son owns his own company and purchased several vehicles from Billion as well. He had a horrible time with said service department, and wrote an awful but true review on Google. The next day Chris did a tie-back with my daughters car which made it to where only Billion could do the work. It took Billion over 7 months to fix it, oh, and they do NOT HAVE LONER CARS, so they take their time. Got there to pick it up, no AC. They forgot to charge the AC. Filled it, one week later no AC. They couldn't get it in for two weeks. Took it in. They told my daughter it was a broken line and would have to pay deductible AGAIN. They had to disconnect it when they changed engines. Tony said that was not true. We had another company look at it while waiting 2 weeks, so we knew it was their fault. Tony said to come get her car Billion would no longer work on her car. Steve GM., refused to talk to us. NEVER BUY ANYTHING THERE!!! There service department sucks, except Tara. She is the only silver lining. The rest have No integrity, no sincerit, and unethical practices!!! read more

Buyer beware! Billion's service department is totally dishonest and unprofessional from top to bottom. I've heard horrible stories about their sales side, but have not dealt with their service side before. Should have known. My daughter's car would not start and since the tow company told us it needed a new battery, we had it towed to Billion (our regular mechanic could not take it in that day). They took it on a Friday and called my daughter the following Monday, telling her that it needed a new $2500 starter (it's a 2019 Jeep with 60k miles). I called them back and told them we were pretty sure it just needed a battery, but they insisted it was the starter. We said we would like to get another opinion before doing the starter service and they said that we couldn't have the car taken to our mechanic until we paid them $254 - a classic scam artist move. What they failed to tell us was that they charged the battery while at the shop and the car was starting and running just fine after that. Because of their lie, we thought we had to have it towed to our mechanic. They knew all along that the car was running and didn't need to be towed. After we paid their blackmail fee to release our car we found out that they lied about it not running and didn't even tell the tow guy that the car could run - he found that out later. Our mechanic did not find an issue and said the car was starting and running just fine for him, it just needed a new battery. We did not realize the extent of the con job Billion had pulled until we saw the paperwork they left in the car (my mechanic saw it and gave it to us). It clearly stated all they had done was charge the battery and that the car was starting and running. Why didn't that get relayed in the phone call to my daughter, or in the follow up call with me? One reason - they wanted to rip us off for a new starter. We have disputed their $254 charge because they lied to us about what they did and their services were not what they claimed. Their operations manager called me to find out why I would dispute the charge. I explained how they lied about the service and cost us even more money with a second towing due to their lie, he became angry and stuck by his lying colleagues. Clearly he needs some customer service training. What a disgrace to Bozeman and all Montanans to have such a lying, criminal dealer in our area. Unbelievable behavior. read more

Words cant describe the horror that Billons has put myself and my wife through! This has been the worst customer service experience ever during any transactional situation Ive been involved in which includes but not limited to any fast food, box store, car wash, etc. Im now 2600 miles from home with an illegal vehicle because Billions wants to tell you anything they can think of to make a sale. Once the sale is over dont expect ANYONE to care what was said, paid for, or contractually bound to fulfill the commitments of the transaction. Better off finding ANY other dealership to do anything. Not to mention the service department is a joke ehen it comes to scheduling, actually working, or helping in anyway. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST! read more

I'll never forget the day my vehicle needed a routine oil change. One mile later--driving away afterward--all the power steering fluid leaked out! They claimed no responsibility for nicking the line, which is close to other components during an oil change on my vehicle! It was no coincidence. The power steering had several parts which had been replaced a few months before, so all of them were under warranty, but Billion wouldn't honor all of the warranty work over a technicality: NEVER AGAIN is when they will get any business from us! read more

I have to say I have never felt like I have worked with a slimy car dealer until my experience here. First off I bought a brand new 22 Dodge Ram with just 12 miles. When I talked with the salesman I asked three questions. The difference between gas milage the truck and my CRV. That I had not owned a truck and heard rumors but I wanted to know. The salesman said there was any noticeable difference, it would just be slightly less. over 10 per gallon less seems more then noticeable it seems significant. Second I asked about the difference between 2wd and 4wd that I was accustom to. The response was that it was better gas mileage in 2wd and that there would be a difference in mud or snow. He did not mention that the truck has heavy jerking action that actually causes pain anytime you start a forward motion in 2wd. The third question I asked about was the fishtailing that i have seen truck do. I asked if that was an issue I had to deal with the truck and how do I avoid it. the response was that trucks only fish tail if you hit the gas to fast, and that the truck had technology that prevented fishtailing. But I have notice that the truck slides when ever the back in is empty on ice no matter how slow I am going. The salesman also sold me insurance that was suppose to cover everything that go damage on the truck regardless of cause (when used with regular car insurance.) Which would be great if that was the case, but what ends up happening when something comes up I hear it is not covered. And finally I bought an expensive cover for the back of the truck based of their recommendation based off my needs. once it was installed the tailgate wouldn't close properly. I have brought it in several times and they say they reset it and come up with how the last person who assisted me didn't do this or that. Pass the Buck stuff. but almost immediately the tailgate stops latching making the back up assist not work. The honesty of Billion's employees is all Billions responsibility. Since I have bought the truck in dec 21, I have spent more time in the shop with faulty parts and repairs then I have spent in the shop over the last ten years with my CRV. There is either no offer of rental cars, the one time I pressed the issue that I needed transportation and I expected them to do something about it. they offered only $45 a day and demanded I pay the taxes and fees and anything over that. The rental cars are $100 a day. The servicemen make me feel as if I should have two cars in a single driver household, in order to accommodated for a brand new car not working properly, or that it is some how not ok that I have to work, and pick up kids with my one and only vehicle. At this point I feel like I was scammed for a sale and cheated on the insurance. And that Billion does not stand behind their product. I heard how great a company this was and how they cared about their clients but I do not feel the love. read more

We had an electrical issue with our 2020 Ram 1500 while driving from Washington to Colorado. I called from I-90 and they were able to fit us in their busy schedule, fix the problem, and get us back on the road in a few hours. Excellent service! read more

Traveling through Bozeman with my elderly disabled father and his 15 year old toy poodle in exrreme heat from western Washington and the A/C stopped working after having it charged before we left. Billion went above and beyond to get our truck and and had the air compressor replaced by the next day! Billion saved the day! We can't thank you enough!!! Thank you Tara!! read more

$8600 of Unnecessary repairs I have a Dodge Ram 3500 Diesel truck that requires an anti pollution additive called DEF (Diesel Emission Fluid). When the Truck was new at 3000 miles 2015, my wife was 1/4 miles from home and accidentally added 1/8 cup of Diesel fuel additive to the Emission Fluid tank. Immediately realizing her mistake she parked the truck at the gas station, walked home and called the Billion Auto's service department and made arrangements to have the truck towed on a flatbed to the dealership to have the holding tank flushed. She was instructed by the service department to go ahead and drive it 45 miles to the dealership and that there would be no way the fuel additive would reach any critical parts based on mileage and consumption and a full DEF tank. Following Billions advice, we drove the vehical to the service department where they confirmed there was a small mount of contaminant and then quoted $6000.00 full DEF system replacement "because the vehical had been driven in and some of the contaminate might have made it into other systems." I had the truck placed on a flatbed and towed to Yellowstone Country Motors. Yellowstone Country Motors disassembled the DEF tank and flushed the parts, reassembled and had me back on the road in an hour for $96 and had been running flawlessly for 30,000 miles In May 2020, in the middle of the Corona outbreak Billion called asking to preform some recall work that I was told would be 100% covered by warranty, I decided to allow them to work on it in spite of our last encounter to try to support local businesses during hard times. A big mistake. Four days after dropping it off Billion called me and said that there was an error light from the DEF system and that someone had filled it with Diesel fuel, it would not be covered by warranty and cost to fix was $2800.00. Once again I took it over to Yellowstone Country Motors where they ran a contaminate test and found NO Contamination but did find a bad float sending unit. The part was replaced under warranty with a $100 deductible. Billion Auto has tried to take advantage of us not just once but twice to the total tune of $8600.00 in unnecessary repairs. I cant help but believe that this is a cultural business ethic being demonstrated and I hope the Better Business Bureau and Dodge Corporate will investigate and take appropriate action to protect local consumers. read more

This company was once good but I'll pass on ever coming back after today. Turning into the complex there are signs, but scattered, leaving me driving around like a lost puppy. I literally spent 10 minutes trying to find service for Jeep. All they need to do is put a couple/few signs in the main entrances with arrows. Once in service, finally, I stood there for an uncomfortable amount to time watching 2 guys talk until someone came my way and asked if I needed help. The guys should have put a pause on their conversation to help me out quickly. They were talking about an air filter and if it needed replacing. Billion has simply just gotten too big and lost touch with the first and most important thing, customer service, and now they lack communication because they're just too big. Get someone good in marketing versus just running the stupid "Nobody beats a Billion deal, nobody" commercials with dudes karate chopping the air. Obnoxious! read more

My son purchased a car while living in Montana from this company. He ended up leaving his job and coming back to Michigan a week later. He was contacted then and told that the bank backed out on financing the car because he left his job. He was in Michigan at this time! How did he even get the car off the lot without finalizing the deal?? He should have never been able to leave with the vehicle with out the loan being finalized. In turn, I ended up financing the loan. I did my part in getting all the info to them ASAP. It was purchased Jan 31...I have not received ANY paperwork, cannot register the car, get plates or even drive it for work (it needs to be registered in this state for this particular job) because I don't have the title and it is still registered in Montana. I have been dealing with Justin and he promises things but never follows through. I have contacted the office to talk to a manager, was put to voicemail, left a message last week and still have not been contacted. This has been the most ridiculous transaction I have ever had to deal with! I have been told multiple times by Justin that 'we sell 150 vehicles a month, and have skilled office staff working diligently daily to get the title work to dmv' - this is a LIE because I am still trying to get answers and paperwork 19 days later! My son put a cash deposit down, which they failed to apply to the new loan and we have not received back yet. I am not from Montana and having never been to this dealership I would believe this was the shadiest deal and place ever! read more

Originally had called in to purchase my husband a new truck. After meeting with a very young, and inexperienced salesman, I was flat out told I didn't know what I was talking about. He was trying to sell me a Diesel when in fact what I wanted was gasoline. After I decided to take my purchase elsewhere I received an email from the sales manager that stated how unfortunate it was that I would take my business somewhere else considering my employer had purchased a company vehicle from billion. What does my employer have to do with my consumer purchase? And why was that even thrown in my face? We decided to give the service department a chance to redeem our faith. I dropped my husband's truck off for service, was told to wait in the lobby for the share ride, 30 minutes later I walked out the door and ended up walking to work. The 2nd experience was calling on a recall, we were told that the part was not in stock that they would be reaching out to us soon as it was, and this has been over 3 months ago now. We purchased in Great Falls, not only did we beat a Billion deal but we got much better service. read more
