I cannot say enough good things about Bill Yeck Park. This location happens to be extremely close to my house and offers an easy 3 mi route that is perfect for hiking alone or with my family. It also bumps up into Forest Field Park which has an excellent playground. I hike here all the time in love coming to see the seasons change. This park offers water to cross, bridges and even a well. The Park department also has a lot of free events that take place here that are perfect for children. I love how close this is to my home and how much we get to experience nature here.

FIRST HIKE OF 2023! This park has been on my list for awhile. I hiked with Cincy trails at Sugar Creek Metropark last fall--which is across the street. I did not make the connection that Bill Yeck park was basically in the same neighborhood, but when I found out, I added it to my list! Going to be honest, I think this park would have been beautiful if it weren't a dreary winter day. Everything was brown--dead trees, gray skies, muddy trails: definitely an OHIO winter hike. I could 100% imagine what it would have looked like on a nice day when the sun was shining... and I know that it would be beautiful! What was now an empty, muddy field looked like a soon-to-be wildflower field --I can only imagine it would be so pretty with all those flowers. I would go back! I parked at the Smith Entrance, as I discovered there was a large parking lot and nice restrooms. It was a big lot that would fit several cars. I hiked the orange trail to the brown trail that crossed over a road that ran through a subdivision. I had not originally planned to add that onto my hike, but I'm so glad I did! Off of the brown trail, there was an extension just added--that would have added an additional mile. I did not take it this time since I was not sure how long of a hike I would end up hiking, but I would like to add this onto my hike next time. The brown trail does a loop, so I reconnected back to the orange trail and then took the orange trail to the yellow trail. After adding some mileage with the yellow trail, I joined back to the orange trail that put me back at the parking lot. I did a total of 5.5 miles with some elevation changes. In the future, there would be a couple ways to add on some mileage and with that extension, I could easily get 6.5 to 7 miles on another day of hiking without having to repeat any trails on one hike. For a cold winter day, I loved exploring this park! There's something about getting outside and the fresh air hitting your face. I bundled up and enjoyed being outside. I would totally recommend the trail system here. It is in the Centerville area past Lebanon and Waynesville. It was about a 40 minute drive from Loveland, so a bit of a drive. If it were a nice day with lots of sunshine, I could see myself making the trek out there again. Favorite part: all the creek crossings! If you happen to live in that area, you should definitely check out this park!

Sugarcreek MetroPark is nearby, and this is a great complement to that, creating a corridor to protect both the waterways and wildlife. Like so many parks in the Dayton area, this park weaves its way through and among the neighborhoods. It's got hills, valleys, creeks, bridges, rock fords, etc. providing a varied experience as you hike around the park, with several different trails and park entrances. I hiked about 4.5 miles total, covering trails that circumvent the park. I did miss a couple sections so I have something to look forward to on my next visit. Go check it out. I was there a few days after a snow storm, so I am looking forward to being their in the spring, summer, and fall.

Great time. Bring tall socks and shoes you don't care about. You will get muddy. Happy hiking.

Kacie Jane Park - The "big kid" side of the park!

This park is great for kids of all ages! There are two separate parks- one geared toward younger…read morekids and the other geared toward older kids! The 3 year old I took had a blast at both! In the "little kid" playground area there are smaller stairs to climb and things to balance on. There are tunnels, a little picnic table at the bottom, and some steering wheels to spin. In the "big kid" playground the climbing is taller and definitely more advanced. The 3 year old had trouble reaching some things, but nonetheless tried! There are two awesome and obscure shaped monkey bars, many spinning seats, and large slides! They also have a great area with various giant musical instruments to play. On the far side of the playground there is a splash pad. It was still on and running today! This park is wide open and had so much space for the kids to run and play. There are many picnic tables with shade and a large shelter too! We LOVED this park!!

I'm an adult and I wanted to play! Kids of all ages, outside, playing, laughing! Since our first visit back in 2015 we've been quite a lot. My review has changed a little, but not…read moremuch. The park is really nicely maintained. They have also added a little wetlands area nearby to explore. The park features a splash pad, a gym structure, swings, tennis courts, baseball fields, picnic shelter, bathrooms, and plenty of green space. My kids enjoy the splash pad and have become braver with it. They also like the playground. The slides and ground get really hot during the summer so I'd wish they'd do something about that. I think the playground is a decent size, but pretty small during the very busy summer months. I like that the splash pad is open and my kids can run around and still be easily spotted. They have ample parking even with daycare/camp buses.

This place, as the other reviewer mentioned so kindly (helped me to find it!) is off of the beaten path and if you don't know where it is you will most likely miss it. Even my GPS couldn't find the address! You just have to know it is across the street from Bills Donuts, up the hill a little and to the right. There is a concrete sign at the corner that lets you know it's time to turn! The park itself is a decent size with a lot of variety within it's walls. You can play ball, take a stroll in the grass, enjoy their really fun looking water park area I am assuming comes on once it is hot enough outside. There is a really modern well maintained play area for kids with a working water fountain (pretty rare these days, eh?) and really unique elements within the play structure like the huge rocking booth see-saw for example. I would have gone crazy for this place as a kid! I took a ton of photos and posted them to the listing, if you want to get a better idea of the play structure. It really is wonderful, I highly recommend a visit! We drive 30 minutes out of our way for it once a month, and it's always an enjoyable experience.
