I took an almost one-year-old baby here today. It is only street parking, but there were plenty of spots. The park has many trees, so there were spots of shade for us to rest. Many kids were playing at the park! But we played in the sand and used one of the many baby swings! This park is so much fun for kids of all ages! I brought a baby that's walking with assistance, and she had a blast! Other kids seemed to love running around and then cooling off in the splash pad. So have to grab the moments before it hits. This day was a wind storm right before the bitter cold was back. I walked around and even walked the trails with a friend. So good to be outside. The flowers were lovely but the wind was fierce. This park does such a great job keeping everything lovely which I so appreciate and its a fav of mine for years. So many special memories here. Please be courteous and dont pick the flowers. This isn't your yard and if everyone picked just one there would be none for the next to enjoy. I went here as part of a group, and they seem to get a lot of school field trips, but they're well organized, and it's a big place, so even with a ton of kids at the place, you don't feel like you're crowded. They have really great people working here, who are more than happy to answer your questions and explain things to you. I had like, fifteen minutes alone with the candle-maker lady and my son, and she entertained all of his questions and was really cool to talk with. They have a lot of Dayton-related history around NCR, and flight, and nuclear energy, and old automobiles. I bet it's a blast to work there. My favorite part though, was the outdoors area. It's just a really well maintained facility with lots of big old trees, and shade, and you can really just kick back and relax and chill out.
