The trails are short and easy to navigate with paved boardwalk as well, this would be a great park for small kids or dog walking. The surrounding area is beautiful, but there is quite a bit of traffic on the road around the park that you need to be aware of. They have a gorgeous and large shelter that would be great for a family event and plenty of shade trees.

Trails are pretty well kept, though I managed to get a bit turned around a few times, probably more related to my (lacking) sense of direction. There's TONS to see here, like most of the area metro parks, and I missed a few of the main attractions, but did check out the pond and the small waterfall. Could it use some updates, sure, but I'm sure Kettering is getting there. The front of the park is a skate park and the back has a playground, path, disc golf course, picnic shelters, and a pond. The park also leads you to the Kettering Rec Center. I love that the park is rubber mulch. I also like the really cool and unique play structure. I do not remember the pond being so big so I feel like that has had an upgrade in the last few years. It looked nice. I'm not sure if you fish there or not. I do think they need to figure out how to get bathrooms back near where the shelters and playground are because if not you are walking up to the way front. The paths are in nice condition and connect to the neighborhoods for longer walks or runs.

This park is a new favorite of ours. It's big and has lots to do. Also, a different selection of…read morestructures than we've found on other playgrounds. Probably the most unique thing is what my husband calls the zip line. I've frequently found the handle bar you hang from and whiz across a level bar about 7 ft. Long. This is a similar idea. But instead of a handle bar, there is a long pole with a circular seat at the bottom. This seat hangs about a foot and a half from the ground. Depending on height, size, age, ability you can decide to either sit or stand on this seat. My two year old boy sat on it with no problem. But considering my large belly getting in the way, I decided to stand. Anyway, this thing is twice as long as any other I've seen! And it's like a very wide "V" shape. So it gives to momentum in the first half to make it back up through the second. So fun!! Other unique attractions include a SUPER long slide (not actually very steep, but at the top of a hill and quite long - some families bring paper to sit on in order to slide faster), statues of large turtles and one of those large disc swings. Such a fun place! I take my boy here when we're in the area.

They have also added a little wetlands area nearby to explore. The park features a splash pad, a gym structure, swings, tennis courts, baseball fields, picnic shelter, bathrooms, and plenty of green space. My kids enjoy the splash pad and have become braver with it. They also like the playground. The slides and ground get really hot during the summer so I'd wish they'd do something about that. I think the playground is a decent size, but pretty small during the very busy summer months. I like that the splash pad is open and my kids can run around and still be easily spotted. They have ample parking even with daycare/camp buses.

This place, as the other reviewer mentioned so kindly (helped me to find it!) is off of the beaten path and if you don't know where it is you will most likely miss it. Even my GPS couldn't find the address! You just have to know it is across the street from Bills Donuts, up the hill a little and to the right. There is a concrete sign at the corner that lets you know it's time to turn! The park itself is a decent size with a lot of variety within it's walls. You can play ball, take a stroll in the grass, enjoy their really fun looking water park area I am assuming comes on once it is hot enough outside. There is a really modern well maintained play area for kids with a working water fountain (pretty rare these days, eh?) and really unique elements within the play structure like the huge rocking booth see-saw for example. I would have gone crazy for this place as a kid! I took a ton of photos and posted them to the listing, if you want to get a better idea of the play structure. It really is wonderful, I highly recommend a visit! We drive 30 minutes out of our way for it once a month, and it's always an enjoyable experience.

It also has two baby and regular swings, monkey bars, and one of those gliders. There is a lot of green space and a small hiking trail that leads to another park entrance. That side of the park has one baby and one regular swing, picnic tables, and more green space. I'm glad that the park district had a challenge at this fun little park. It's a nice little place for kids to play, perfect for those five and under.
