We were searching in vain for this Italian and eventually settled here after noticing how late it was getting.
Inside sat a large family at a table, and other locals ..so things looked positive despite the tacky pictures of food in the menu.
This place served bits of everything but it was the tapas we were intrigued with. Cod fritters, Spanish omelette, Garlic shrimp, potatas braves, chicken croquettes and cheese were soon ordered with some sangria.
The sangria cost little, so I expected a glass not a pitcher! . The pitchers contents though was herby, sweet and full of fruit. Little by little the food started to appear.
Each plate was a larger plate than usual to UK tapas and had generous portions. The Spanish omelette was particularly tasty and potatoes. But overall the food was very good value for money but by far not the best tapas I have ever had. . And the only thing we did not enjoy was the cod fritters, which were really fishy and spherical .
For somewhere to go on the cheap late at night I would recommend this place, but do not expect to be wowed. read more
