While new bicycle stocks are low everywhere due to worldwide supply chain issues, Bicycle World has…read morebeen super helpful keeping my families old bikes in working order. That includes an old Full-Campy Custom Serotta, and an old but high-end Trek Tri-bike that my daughter used for many years, including commuting in Montreal at McGill, and lately training for a Half-Ironman. Bicycle World re-fitted my daughter's old Trek last year, helping to solve a developing knee problem. I consider the $200 price for a complete fitting (with posture-suggestions) was a deal, considering the alternative costs in pain and medical expenses. They can't do anything about my pain trying to keep up with my daughter up hills, however. This week, I bought her a used Cervelo P3 bike from theproscloset.com, and again, Bicycle World did a very complete and fine-tuned fitting. They also fixed a couple significant issues: (1) somebody had dropped a seat-clamp into the frame, which required completely disassembling the crank and headset to extract, and (2) the derailleur drop-out was bent out of alignment. theproscloset.com was actually happy to pay for those fixes on an otherwise- pristine bike. The less-than-one-day turnaround was perhaps lucky, but great since my daughter is here for only a few more days. We should all support our LBS, and I'm very happy with mine. I also find their prices are usually as good as Amashame.com or is it Amascam.com? In the shop they are all wearing masks (and I mean correctly!) which I also appreciate.

Awful Experience -- Stay Away from This Bike Shop…read more I've tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but after multiple bad experiences, I'm done. The co-founder -- who seems to be the face of the business -- is consistently rude, dismissive, and lacks basic customer service skills. Today was the final straw. I came to pick up my bike after clearly telling their service rep I'd be in on Wednesday or Thursday. Instead of being helpful, I was met with attitude for not "calling ahead." I'm sorry, but I gave a window -- and you're closed Sunday -- so maybe don't take it out on your customers. Previously, she left me standing outside even though it was one minute before opening. Another time, she snapped at me for wanting to load my bike into the car before paying -- as if helping a customer ensure the product fits isn't part of the job. And when I finally spoke up about how I've been treated over the years, she literally told me she didn't like my tone. Not professional. Not acceptable. If you value good service, skip this place. Anyone know a better bike shop in Westchester? I'm in Ossining -- happy to drive 15-20 minutes for respectful, reliable service. Thanks in advance -- and seriously, avoid this shop if you don't want your day ruined. Look at this biz owner's response. This is how they treat customers. She basically told me she does not like my voice. Like how I speak. ___________________________________________ Owner's response below blaming me for getting g yelled at for not calling in advance. -after I told their service provider I would be in Wednesday or Thursday to bike up my bike. See blow folks. Unfortunately, the biz owner's response is consistent with the kind of dismissive attitude I've experienced in person. I stand by my review and hope other customers take note.

I dont drive and was nervous about public transportation during the pandemic. I looked up ebikes in NJ/NY and found Revolve with a NY number and called it. I spoke to a nice man, Tony who took the time to ask me what I was looking for. The bike I wanted he said he was delivering the next day in JC if I wanted to see it in person but he didnt recommend that bike because he said it would be too big for me (Im 5'2"). He told me the "Alex" would be a good fit. If I liked it he would hand deliver it for me the next day and then offered a deal I couldnt refuse. Who does that?! So excited for my new bike he arrived on time. Stayed about 30 minutes to explain the features on the bike and I rode it a bit. This has brought me joy. It rides beautifully. I know its just a bike but I feel some freedom now that I can get around a little without thinking about buses and trains. Nice guy, great bike....I highly recommend.

This year has been a game-changer for me because of my return to cycling. Action Bikes, every…read moremember of TC's crew, gave me the perfect tools to fulfill my physical fitness goals. I've purchased two higher-end bicycles from TC and Action Bikes this year, and both bikes are serving me well. First bike, Surly Ice Cream Truck -- I was looking for the perfect snow bike to make it through a tough winter. Not only did they have the perfect Surly snow bike in the shop, I got real savings on that bike. Instead of whining my way through winter and letting my health go more than it had, Action Bikes helped me reverse some cardiovascular issues by enabling me to get back on the trail in the best way and slowly rebuild my cardio health. I've never had so much fun on a bike. TC's staff did everything they could to accommodate my needs for winter riding. Second bike, Kona Rove LTD -- If one bike isn't enough, you should buy two. As winter came to a close, which took some time this year, I was thinking how I could extend my adventures on the rail trail by investing in a gravel bike. I reached out to TC and his crew, and within 20 minutes TC was able to find me a fantastic deal, real savings again, on probably the best bike I've ridden yet. I had a specific need for a certain bike to do what I needed do for long-distance riding on the rail trail. By the end of a fairly short phone call, TC found the best bike I could have hoped for, generously discounted. I could not have found a bike that was a better fit than the Kona Rove LTD, nor could I have imagined finding that bike at the price TC found it -- all of that accomplished in a 25-minute phone call. TC's staff, everyone, has been friendly and knowledgeable. Each of them in their own way took their time to involve themselves personally in my cycling fantasies, and now I am living those fantasies on the trail, deep in the mountains, enjoying my bliss. In the past 11 years, I've purchased four (4) bikes from Action Bikes. I know TC and his staff to be my best cycling contact in NEPA. This bike shop has earned its reputation in the area. If you are interested in advancing your cycling experience, I would suggest Action Bikes to anyone at any cycling level looking for a new bike. Thank you, guys, for helping me get back to good health. Aron.
