As I age, nice to see I now can get an e-bike here to cope with Westchester's steep hills. Loving the new cargo e-bike I bought recently. It is turning into a car-replacer. The shop's location is fantastic, smack in the center of the Rivertowns on Dobbs' Main Street and very close to the Aqueduct Trail, Bee Line Bus stops (buses now all have bike racks on them), and the MetroNorth station. More on-street parking spaces seem to be available since Dobbs made some changes to pricing and rules, plus there is a municipal lot around the corner and Dobbs even installed some on-street bike parking. The location really helps with the killing time during a repair. Depending on how busy they are, I can get a coffee, lunch or swing by the hardware store or some of the new shops downtown or even hang in the Library across the street which has a nice view of the Palisades. Or if it is going to need an overnight or two stay, I can hop on the pretty-frequent for the suburbs bus to get home.

One was in California, one was in Brooklyn, and one was Piermont Cycling Connection. The Cali store had been great to me on the past, but shipping was a pain and I missed buying from a local shop and getting the service that comes with it. I went to the Brooklyn store, which had a ton of nice bikes. However, they barely wanted to talk to me and when I asked to hold the bike the guy kept trying to take it out of my hands to put it back on the wall. Kinda weird service towards someone who is about to buy an $8,300 bike. So I called up Piermont. I spoke to Sunny who immediately got to work on setting me up. He put the bike on hold for me, got the paperwork to me immediately, went through numerous upgrades I wanted and gave an extremely competitive price. On my next day off work I drove up there to pickup the bike. Everything was installed and ready to go. No games, no hassle. The store is big, but clearly had in inventory in back room that surpasses any other shop I've been to. I swore that's all I was buying that day, but Sunny and I were chatting away and before I knew it I was having a pair of Enve SES 4.5 wheels installed. A shop guy dropped everything to get my new tubeless wheels setup. Sunny was easy-going, knowledgeable, and patient. We were talking for two hours. I would've bought the bike from anyone at that store, but I lucked out getting Sunny. They clearly move a lot of inventory because they seem to have nearly everything I wanted in stock and a whole bunch of mechanics working on bikes. I live in Manhattan right across the street from a Trek dealer and it's one of the few shops in the city with mechanics that I trust to work on my bike - even though they aren't a Cannondale dealer. But now I have a second option. I was on a 60 mile ride today and found myself passing by Piermont. I needed an adjustment to my break and stopped in to see Sunny. He had a technician immediately take a look at my bike and I was on my way in less than five minutes. Obviously I wish they were across the street from me, but it's worth the extra drive or a ride to find a place that is knowledgeable, cares, and treats you well. They will be my go-to for all future purchases.

Rude? Yes. When I shopped for bikes for my kids, I bypassed the place and bought mine in Ft Lee! After 20+ years of patronage, I am never to step in there again because the owner condescends on his customers! Not everyone who rides a road bike rides 10,000 miles, but a local shop owner should not make them feel inferior when they have supported them for so many years.

I've been working since 10th grade to help my mom because she is a single parent so for me the loss of about 5k including repairs leave me without transportation as I can not afford to repair it at this point. I've spent 3.7k on a bike, this isn't including the repairs i had to pay over the span of a year which amount to at least 1.4k+ after random bolts detaching and motor failing, and as soon as the warranty expired my bike had a random electrical issue where the bike wouldn't accelerate. The cost of the parts and labor is $2910.54 2- Send your bike back to Super73. They will do their own diagnosis, and determine the issues and fix the problems. Unfortunately your bike is not under warranty, the cost of packing up and freighting your bike to and from Super73 will be around $1200. Plus their diagnostic fee, parts and labor. My High School friend and I stopped in to browse amongst the gear and chatted with one of the sales people. The store had all top of the line sports brands and upstairs on the second floor they still do the ski equipment fittings! It totally made my day!
