I live in Hawai'i but am on a pit stop here in SC for a few days before continuing my trek to Maine for work and was in the market for an all road/gravel bike. My father and I went to 4 bike shops between Greenville and TR the last shop recommended the Marin Fourcorners and found Speedshop as a dealer. We called to see if there was my size in stock, unfortunately there wasn't. This is where Dave's customer service skills went above and beyond that of any of the other retailers. He personally called to other Marin dealers across the country to see who could drop ship the bike to SC. He kept us informed with every phone call he made. And was very willing to help with my search even though I would be a one time customer at his shop. My father rides both Mt and road bikes and due to Dave's outstanding customer service and help with this process he's making the switch to shop with speedshop in the future. If I make it back to here with my bike(s) I'll be sure to stop into this shop in the future.

I didn't know they were closed on Mondays and blamed myself for not being better prepared. My wife is the kindest person I know and was gracious but I think Mike could tell she was disappointed. Without pressure from us Mike said, "I'm gonna make sure they get fixed before I leave on Friday. So you can pick them up on Saturday." I just went by and got them. The cable for the brakes was not connected, the handlebars were not tightened, and the tires were not inflated. I took the bike into Chain Reaction for the brakes. They found all the other issues. I expected to leave the bike there for the repair. To my pleasant surprise, they took it into the repair area and make all the repairs immediately. They were so sweet to my 6 year old Granddaughter, making her feel like an important "customer". In addition, one of the repair guys taught my Granddaughter to ride her new bike. Then he showed me several bikes in my price range and let me try them out. I found a bicycle that was the perfect combo of comfort, ease of use and price. Because of a special on this brand, I was able to save over $300. Chandler helped me understand what accessories I would need and explained the purpose and use of each one. There was no upsell involved -- he wanted me to understand what was available. He explained I didn't need to buy everything he showed me today. What I did need to begin riding was a helmet (which he helped me with getting one that fit like a glove), a tire pump and road kit for repairs. Chandler took all the time I needed to ensure I was comfortable with the purchase. He adjusted the bike to fit me and made sure it was ready to hit the road. Unfortunately, we couldn't fit it into my car. Chandler went ABOVE and BEYOND expectations: he said he would bring the bike to my house when he got off work. The service was amazing, and the staff was super knowledgeable. I can't say enough good things about the experience. About 3 weeks later, I realized that my initial bike choice wasn't for me. I wasn't happy with the Claris groupset. So, I went to the TREK Greenville location and spoke with Gerry and Bay a couple of times. They helped me with not only information but also exchanged my AL 2 for an AL 5 with the 105 groupset. I'm so happy with every interaction I've had since. There was no sales pressure at all. They were genuinely curious about what I needed. I ended up going back and Bay helped me pick out a good set of carbon wheels with GP5000 tires. The mechanic who set them up tubeless was great too, but I couldn't remember their name. The tires and tubeless setup have made a huge difference in how comfortable my bike is to ride! In my opinion, this should be the first upgrade of any road bike. It's been an expensive fitness journey, but it's totally worth it.
