It's a place where you can grab coffee and chat with your mechanic (who are friendly and put up with me chatting them up as they service my bike!). Biker's Edge is involved with the community promoting weekly rides, providing a booth and maintenance at local racing events, and are involved with trail development and upkeep. The manager Zach, is excellent and available. He's steered me away from gear I don't need, and put me into gear I didn't think I needed but did. Om forced to even give 1 star. First of all all giant bikes have a lifetime warranty on all frame parts, and much more that aren't considered consumable. I was going to take in my bike just to have the seals of my front forks replaced, was treated like crap, and told to deal with giant all because they either put in defective parts or whoever is working on the bikes really doesn't know what they are doing. As a disabled veteran, I wouldn't take a bike here if it was free because of it. New/used bicycles are covered by the warranty as long as it us registered, such as mine was by me the day I bought it. With that being said please look at other places to take your bike to, or just watch YouTube as you will have better luck. read more

I bought a bike here last fall and I'm really impressed with their service and how friendly they are. I've been in here several times to buy bibs, water bottles, and other things and they've been very helpful. I have also had them do some minor adjustments which I think they do for free for the first year. They have a really good selection on hand but if they do not have it I know they can order it for you. They have all types of bikes for kids and adults from road bikes to Fat bikes. The prices are competitive for the area and the location can be easily accessed right off the freeway. A great bike shop and stop in if you are looking for a good bike. I have spent well over 5000.00 at this location. We purchased two electric bikes, two mountain bikes and one cruiser Bikers Edge have done nothing to remedy this issues we have had with the electric bikes and have pretty much said sorry for your shitty luck of buying crap from our location sucker. Do your own research and don't be talked into something that they can not keep the parts in stock to fix the issue and when they do it's low end part that will last maybe a ride or two. And don't even try to talk to a mechanic in the back nothing but pure attitude. Best look to find a better dealer who might actually care about their clients especially those that kept coming back. Took my Pinarello Prince in for control of BB and headset bearings. In addition, asked the technician to replace two chain protection patches for potential frame wear. Picked up bike today and; BB seems way to tight 1 1/2 turn spin without chain attached, neither of the patches were replaced and there was some grease left on the frame. Not much pride in what they do! Luckily I have a lot of other local bike shops to work with in the future. read more

Received a primo fitting from the start, and after spending a few months on the bike, the guys were good enough to give me a second fitting to ensure my bike fit like second skin. I flew up to Utah for a visit and ended up buying a bike while I was there. The stress set in as to how I was going to get this bike home. My son, who works at a bike shop here in AZ, said to ask a bike shop to pack it up for me. I called Bikers Edge because of the reviews I read, even though they were 45 min away from where I was staying, and Im so glad I did. Mason was so kind and helpful. He went above and beyond and got my bike packed up. I dropped it off and headed to the airport, and Mason was kind enough to work with UPS to get the bike to me. My son received the bike at his bike shop so he could put it together for me, and he said whoever packaged it (Mason) did a very careful and great job packing my bike. Mason went above and beyond. I have been frequenting this shop for the last two years. I haven't been quite sure whether they are all that great of a shop or not. They are the only independently operated shop within 15 miles either direction, so location is a reason many go there. I went in just to have a new chain installed on a road bike. When they saw that I was running a mountain bike cassette with a road crank, I was told, in no uncertain terms, that the configuration wasn't possible. However, I had done a good deal of research and this is a well-known option among bikers who ride the canyons. The shop guys intentionally mal-adjusted the rear derailer and acted like the set-up wouldn't work. I am rather mechanically inclined and wasn't fooled by the demonstration. After a little discussion about technical issues back in the shop, they finished installing the chain. They charged me twice what I paid for the same chain one year earlier. This was a watershed moment. Sure, they have a lot of nice people roaming the sales floor, happy to tell customers what they want to hear, but their prices cut deep and their technical expertise is shallow. I will now be frequenting the shop on 9th and 9th in SLC that has been so helpful and technically competent in the past, distance notwithstanding. read more

I have a bike that needed a new screw for my quill stem, (I'm clueless with bikes and did not know a quill stem was called a "quill stem" at the time)The other day I walked in Bountiful Bikes in Kaysville just across the street, no one said hello, no one offered to help, so I left and went here, Bikers Edge, the second I walked in I was introduced, helped and found exactly what I needed! He told me it was called a quill stem and taught me a bit about it, then he even installed it on my bike with no labor cost! He then discounted the price of the new quill stem cause I only needed the screw, and gave me the stem as well. I was amazed at the awesome service they provided. The front sales area are good to work with but the service department not so much. Took a shock in for rebuild and the tech would not call back when told he would. Did not know if the rebuild shock had a warranty. Then when I took the shock in first I asked about some screws. The tech said we have tons of those that we can get you when you come back in to get the shock. I went in to get shock and he said they were special tot he bike and he would have to order them even if he could find them. Went to Ace Hardware and found them very easily. Definitely wont go back for repairs on a bike. read more
