Excitement filled me as i aloud said "yasss can chat you up! Hello my 381st brewery!" I was warmly welcomed by friendly & knowledgable beertender Mikey. Staff Stephanie was nearby too. Mikey built me a flight. After making my way partially through the flight & beery chat, Mikey poured me a sample of Charlotte's Revenge Scotch Ale. Mmmmm so good!!! Of my flight, none of the six would i not order again but the Maibock was my victor!! Watch out for My Sophia....she is sly @ an easy drinking 9%. Mikey poured me a blue eyed blonde while telling me it was named for the owners wife. Boom....a few minutes later Mikey "thats the blue eyed blonde behind you". They had a brick oven but we didn't even discuss food. Mikey said they just celebrated 10 years last week, March 4th. They were originally right across the street as Mikey rattled off the store names where they were. Time got away from me so i didnt look @ merch. Thats my second visits task. I really like the tap room!! Spacious, lots of natural light, the exposed brick wall, the kitchen right there and a really big bar. The brew house just outside the tap room. I like the Wisconsin shaped flight paddles. When looking @ my flight list i asked the order? Mikey pointed out there is a tiny "map" on the sheet! I appreciated that w all the rising prices Knuth still offers a reasonable flight of $2 pours! I asked Mikey how to pronounce Knuth? Then forgot to ask its definition or how the owner came up w the name? Knuth checks all the boxes! Delicious beer, fantastic staff, comfortable digs, easy parking & just an all around good vibe! Thanks Mikey & Knuth for providing such a delicious & great experience; looking forward to my next visit, cheers!

Ripon has nice things!…read more My wife and I went to Knuth today, Had a couple of their beers each, and we both agreed that they were great (especially the coffee stout!). The taproom is modern, well-lit, and has comfortable and spacious seating at the bar. Skylar was a great server, and we had a great conversation with him. Half of what sets one taproom apart from another is the service, and he was a great host. Will be back when in the area!

I came to Wicked Willow today for the first time in a few years. My time allowance from arrival to…read moredeparture was a maximum of 35 minutes. The inside of the restaurant was much the same as before, minus a row of colorful, decorative flags-- some of which had cartoon kitty faces on them. The menus were also moved to behind the counter and their former spot on the west wall displayed vegan philosophy. The service format was updated from traditional table ordering to modern counter ordering. A tantalizing array of desserts stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the cash register. A kind and pleasant restaurant employee greeted me promptly and began to refresh me on the updated menu, but there was no need for them to finish as soon as I read the word, "curry". I shared with them my decision, paid, and seated myself. It was only a few minutes before my meal arrived. The portion size was quite generous and on par with curry portions at Chef Chu's and Samoeun's. My initial impression of Wicked Willow's curry was that it looked and smelled wholesome. It looked more like a stew than a stir fry, as the liquid looked more comparable to vegetable broth than to curry sauce. It lacked the bright orange coloring and the oil deposits characteristic of many curries. The stew contained perfectly-sized chunks of broccoli, carrots, onions, red bell peppers, yellow bell peppers, and cauliflower, as well as chickpeas. A generous heap of white rice accompanied the stew. Chopped cilantro topped the dish. The word "spicy" appeared next to the word "curry" on the menu, but I found this spiciness level to be effortlessly palatable. I might not be the best person to ask, though, because I eat spicy tuna every day, but only those offended by mild taco seasoning could find this dish anything but delightful. I was impressed with the dish and with my overall experience at Wicked Willow. The curry is the perfect choice for anyone in a social situation with the expectation of ordering food and not wanting to blow their body composition goals, as it did not contain coconut milk or oil, for which some other curries are known. It's what everyone's doctor wishes they would eat, truly. My bill was $11- so, party like it's 2007, I guess! I departed with eleven minutes to spare, and I recommend Wicked Willow to all.

The restaurant, which used to be Gus' Pizza, with the pizza prep area in the front window, was reconfigured and remodeled several years ago. We sat at the bar and boards on the wall noted drink specials, food specials, and mocktails. They also had about 10 draft beers available. We ordered some garlic cheese bread, and I had a red wine while we waited for our pepperoni sausage pizza. If seated at the bar, you can order there, otherwise there is a station where you can order and then head to a table to wait for your food or wait to grab carryout. They had two double deck ovens, and were busy, but our service was attentive. The dining area was full early on a Saturday night with families and sports teams. Our pizza, with house made crust, and hand seasoned sauce had delicious flavors with a sausage nugget carefully placed on each pepperoni slice. Despite the name, Roadhouse Pizza also features hoagies, sandwiches, burgers, and more. If I lived closer I would be a regular patron at Roadhouse for sure.
