My team recommended this place while I was in town and they did not disappoint. Whether you live…read morehere, driving through or visiting make it a point to stop by. Ambiance: cute, cozy and intimate lighting which is perfect date night vibe and there were still some bigger parties accommodated. Arrived and it was packed and still not very noisy. Service: Nick was awesome! Knowledgeable, friendly and personable. There's a level of pride in the work that he does that screams unreasonable hospitality (IYKYK) and paced my courses out beautifully. Wine recommendation was on point and attention to others didn't lapse. All tables felt his presence. Food: House salad was easily the best red wine vinaigrette that I've ever had. The garlic was the perfect kick. Scallops appetizer were sweet and perfectly cooked through and the spinach/basil cream sauce that was under and surrounded the dish was amazing (and I don't or at least didn't think I liked basil!). For dinner I hate the halibut and mushroom risotto which was cooked to perfection. The risotto does have onions which I missed and didn't care for but they took care and offered me a separate bed which I thought was incredibly nice. For dessert I had the chocolate cake which was delicious. Coffee/espresso hints and perfect texture of cake to filling. I will be back for sure!

I didn't take a picture of my pasta but got the red sauce rigatoni which is always my favorite. Rich, creamy, with al dente pasta and fresh mozzarella. Service was great and food came very quick. They now charge for bread which is disappointing when it used to be free. Regardless can't go wrong with anything here, so good!

I've been meaning to come here for a while and have heard rave reviews from friends and family. I…read morewas happy to hear that my wife secured reservations for us and another couple to try the restaurant out for the first time. Being the former Basil restaurant space, the interior is more intimate, darkly lit and a sure romantic spot for date night. The waitress was prompt and helpful selecting drinks off of their menu, inclusive of wine, beer and craft cocktails. Everyone at our table ordered a different drink or glass of wine and there were no complaints. For appetizers I ordered a bruschetta, which was served on a very crispy slice of seasoned bread. What was interesting was that the tomato topping (which was perfectly seasoned with basil, garlic and other spices) was served in a bowl on the side to allow everyone to top to their taste preference. It was a nice touch. We also sampled the cheese curds, which held up well to our Wisconsin standards, and a soup which I can't remember the name of but got high marks. Now for the main course. I was not expecting to be mind blown, by my god. The namesake dish, the Osso Bucco, was absolutely phenomenal. The veal was literally falling off of the bone and was easily, effortlessly separated with a fork. I have rarely had meat this tender. On the other side of the bowl was a fantastic risotto and a perfectly seasoned stew of carrots and onions. I did not indulge in the bone marrow, but I have heard it is a delicacy. Altogether this dish was worth every penny, and I will absolutely be having it again. To finish off this fantastic meal we opted for the tiramisu, which was elegantly plated in a creative manner I have never before seen. I enjoyed the wonderful ending to this delicious meal, and when you visit this restaurant I'm sure you will too.

I had the seafood stew, and it was quite underwhelming; it was more of an under-seasoned pasta dish. The bay scallops and shrimp were pretty tough and overcooked, BUT whatever whitefish was in the dish was outstanding. My hubby had a Caesar salad and the scallops entree. Both were wonderfully executed. The dressing on the salad was the perfect amount, lettuce crisp, and just plainly done well. And the scallops were perfect. Elaboration would take away from what was just 'muah.' :) Server was attentive, but not overly pushy. Ambiance was low key, quiet, and warm.

We started with the calamari, that is served two ways & we ended w/ 2 desserts to go, the Tiramisu & Cannoli Cake! Can't wait till later to enjoy them. We also shared a cup of French onion soup. That again, was a delicious winner. We didn't think to get pictures of the calamari & soup. For our entrees, it was a great dilemma to have.... Pizza, Pasta, or a Salad. So we opted for all three A cheese & Sausage pizza, that is amazing! The Braised Beef Ravioli was a great pasta choice! Loved the sauce. And for the Salad The Black & Bleu, that's sure to impress and is a very generous portion! Our waitress, Kylie, was a total delight, making the meal more enjoyable. We're pleasantly content, with full bellies and plenty leftover for more meals to enjoy later. I highly recommend enjoying a meal at Ala Roma. If we lived here it would definitely be a fav place of ours. We'll definitely visit here when passing through. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

We stopped here after an event in the area and my super picky child was silent eating and forgot she had bread because she was enjoying her spaghetti and meatballs so much! Portion sizes are huge and I can't recommend the antipasto salad and basically anything else pasta or pizza enough. Go!
