Place looks fun and exciting. The menu was absolutely huge and we had no problems finding anything! Service was quick and the waitress was very attentive. My husband ordered Chili Relleno . The only thing is he was hoping that it would've been deep-fried like previous places, but it was wrapped in an egg. It was different, sadly it wasn't his favorite. I ordered three enchiladas one cheese and the other two shredded beef and they were very tasty. I would only recommend adding some cheese inside or some more sauce on top as they were a bit dry. Again, flavor was good just needed more moisture. The margaritas were very tasty!

There was not a single person other than us in the restaurant, and that alone should have been our sign to leave. We got there and were asked about drinks. We saw the menu said they had a happy hour. When we asked the waitress she first said they don't have a happy hour. Upon showing her the menu, she went and asked someone and came back and told us drinks were $1 off. We ordered the birria chimichanga and diablo chicken. The rice was under cooked and the beans were very bland. The worst part was the chicken. It was very chewy and tasted off. Even the salsa felt like it had no flavor. We ended up paying and leaving without finishing our food. Within an hour of leaving we both started feeling very sick. It's hours later and we're still making trips to the bathroom. We both tried the chicken and are fairly certain that was the culprit. There are many excellent Mexican restaurants in Fondy. I would pass on this one. I will say the waitress was very nice, and no blame on her for the experience.

I ordered the enchiladas rojas with ground beef and cheese. Very good. My wife got one of the lunch specials a chicken burrito which earned a thumbs up. The portions were decent as were the prices especially the lunch specials. The only downside was the place had a weird off-putting smell. Not sure if it was from a cleaning product but it was not good. Fortunately it was worse by the entrance and not where we sat.

A dive bar in the middle of nowhere with delicious Mexican food and cold beer that isn't crowded and over priced like so many places in Madison? I have died and gone to heaven. From the salsa and guacamole to the entrees of Chicken Mole and burrito - this is the real deal. This is epic, divorce causing type of food. My wife has already warned me and I am already planning my next visit. This is a classic Wisconsin dive bar, where the restroom sink is in the main dining room, and it looks like you have stepped back a few decades - but that is part of the charm, and the food makes any misgivings about the ambiance entirely worth it. Normally I wouldn't reveal such a secret and mystical place, but it's location ensures the normal Madison food crowd has to take a real hike to find it, and it won't be overrun. Get there. Get there fast.
