We have eaten twice at The Emporium now; last Thanksgiving (2025) and Christmas dinner (at noon)…read more My wife and I used to go to The Broadmoor for Sunday Brunch, but they lost us last year after an abysmal meal. Adding insult to injury, no one seemed to care when I spoke to management about it. The review for The Emporium is much better because 1) It's IN FORT COLLINS, and 2) The manager, "Michael", is somone who cares. On both occasions there were a few things "off" about the meal. On Christmas day, the sea bass was dry. I felt bad for the poor sea bass that gave its life for a meal, only to have it prepared and served without a white sauce. This is a small complaint though, because everything else, from the silver chafing dishes to the spotless tablecloths and napkins, was top notch! On Thanksgiving Day, the place was PACKED. This time around, the collection of locals was rather sparse. I suspect this was because of the way the meal was priced the first time. On Thanksgiving, I felt positively gouged. There was a 20% service charge added for the servers, and a 3% service charge for the unseen "people in the back". Keep in mind that this was a buffet, which, if a mandatory tip is required, usually garners 10%, mainly because the servers' job is minimal. I certainly would NOT be expected to pay the busboy's salary! As you might imagine, an unexpected, mandatory tip of 23% left a bitter taste in this ex-waiter's/business owner's mouth, especially since the dinner was $75 each. I believe that if management cannot pay their "back people" decent wages, the perhaps the situation should be reevaluated. Nonetheless, we went back for Christmas dinner. The carving station at the end of the chafing dishes was nice . . . the ham was tender and moist, and the filet mignon (this time) was, as well. On Thanksgiving, the filets more closely resembled shoe leather. I worked at a country club for at one time, and they had many more chefs, I would imagine, than The Emporium had. Plenty of professionals paying attention to details makes sure that sort of thing doesn't happen. There was plenty of food, though. The potatoes with onions (or, was it the mac and cheese?) was disappointing, as there was no onion flavor to be found. They were "OK", though. I just didn't have seconds. The manager, "Michael", came to our table on both counts, after I mentioned to our server (who asked "How is everything?"). I regretted saying anything the second time, because the sea bass was such a small part of our meal. As I told Michael though, "If you are not aware of a problem, you cannot fix it". He totally agreed, and as a good manger will do, took it in stride. One other bright spot was "Hannah", who assisted me by taking a photo of our party in front of their bee-yoo-ti-ful Christmas tree. I will include the photo, just you can see the tree and winding staircase. Hopefully, they will have another brunch soon, maybe at Easter, so we can enjoy another delicious meal served at a local restaurant!

Absolutely amazing dining experience at The Emporium! We had the best server named Lauren . She…read moretook fantastic care of us! I'm pregnant so I was craving a fruity mocktail and she was able to get me a delicious blackberry lemonade that wasn't on the menu! She had great recommendations and everything we had from the appetizers all the way to the dessert were phenomenal! Do yourself a favor and order the brussel sprouts. They are SO GOOD? Also make sure to order the duck ragu it's packed with flavor and so decadent! I absolutely love this place and there decorating is perfect for a fun date night out! Also shout out to Jill and Nate who took care of me when I was trying to figure out my high tea reservations in the upstairs lounge. They were so nice and so polite to me! I could not recommend this place more just based off the incredible service I had!
