We ordered on two different Saturdays at about 7am. We asked for a dozen of whatever they chose for us. The selection they put in the box was varied and looked great. The first time, the donuts tasted like day old. They were either dry on the inside or crunchy on the outside. We thought we'd give it another try and brought some to a sporting event to share with others. A few people mentioned that the donuts seemed old, when we told them we got them that morning and where they came from, two people said they use to go there but stopped after the quality had gone down. I got donuts here for the first time this morning, and it'll be my f-ing last. First of all, a half a dozen of pretty basic donuts was $14. Wild. While I was in there, I watched the assumed manager/owner RIP a mother a new one when one of her kids touched one of the donuts on a pastry rack. I have a few things to say about this. One: the rack of donuts was behind a counter but not really, and not behind any sort of partition/gate to stop anyone from touching the donuts. It wasn't the kid's fault. Two: she told the mother to get out after her kid did this, and the mom was clearly embarrassed. Three: she told the mom that she had to throw away the WHOLE TRAY because "health inspectors are very strict with the rules" (which is a boldfaced lie. I asked my boyfriend who is a USDA food inspector and he said that isn't protocol). Four: the mom was VERY embarrassed and offered to buy the whole tray because it was a big f-ing deal to the manager. And the manager LET HER. What the actual hell. I feel SO BAD for this mom, these kids, and the employees that all work for this woman. I am actually upset I didn't say anything, but just so shocked I witnessed this. I arrived around 6am, not a very friendly or helpful woman, Short, wearing glasses, said good morning and that was about the extent of the niceties. As I was looking at the donuts deciding what I wanted after I told her I'd do a half dozen I could tell I was being rushed to make a decision, even though I was the only customer there. That lady you could tell doesn't like her job. I will not return ever. As $14 for half a dozen of donuts is too much, especially when the staff isn't friendly. Not worth it. NYC donut connoisseurs or Chicago old fashioned stalwarts will raise their nose at this place, but it's a solid donut with good prices and great donut shop hours (5 AM? That's the spirit). Tried to purchase donuts through drive thru and could not locate my debit card, you know it's happened to you before...could not find my card so told the sweet young red head I'd come through main entrance to pay with Apple Pay. She was very patient and polite. Upon entering the shop, I was greeted with hostility at its finest followed by aggressive, loud, and hasty customer service From the not so sweet older, gray, and grumpy woman! My god Retire! Oh and you charged me 29 dollars on a 15 dollar order. Expect a transaction dispute. I don't like to leave negative reviews for small businesses but was disappointed with our visit here. I came with my kids around 8 on a Monday. The kids were sad to find no frosted/ sprinkled donuts. And the customer service was not very kind. We are from Johnstown and used to a great selection and very kind customer service from our donut shop in downtown Main Street. The donuts are Drunkin Donuts quality--taste pretty good early but later in the day are greasy and makes that film in your mouth, definitely not worth the price. Other reviews must not be familiar with truly good donuts which is unfortunate. As for value, there is none. Of course when you pay more than 3+ front side people to stand around and scream "what can we get you" upon entering the store-- not sure I was actually in the store-- barely making it over the threshold. Never the less, while they were nice in serving, there was no one there and the rush was unnecessary and irritating. Try just "good morning" not "we can't wait for you to give us your money" which I thought was irritating. The price of the donut was more than San Francisco, Krispy Kreme or theme park prices-- which I didn't think possible seeing as how California's min wage is more than double Colorado's. I suppose when you have way more more counter help than you need that happens. As I estimate, the actual product costs less than $.10 to $.20 to make in supplies. You can see this in the price difference between a single ring at $1.29 vs a twist at $1.39 which seems to be twice as much dough. Things that make you (or should make you) say "Hmmmm.. this seems like a rip-off". Try Wenchells or even Safeway for better quality and higher value. I like to support local businesses, but I don't like being ripped off and the cost is soooo not worth the product. 1 star for the subpar donut, discounting 4 for greasy film (indicating cheap ingredients), low value and irritating behavior of help. read more

This place is always closed. They never update the schedule properly. It's Friday at 745am and they are closed. Voicemail says closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Last time I went they closed early.
