Literally some of the best macarons I've had in my life! I went in the morning on Valentine's Day,…read moreit's a cute little store that has some outdoor seating that would be great for a little coffee date and a decent drink and food menu including of course many beautiful macarons. The workers were very kind and efficiently pumping out orders as the line was never ending in the time I was there! Overall impression of the macarons is they are not so sweet that you feel like you're instantly getting a cavity but still very flavorful and bright. I got 6 of them: Raspberry white chocolate 6/10 I hate white chocolate so not sure why I thought I'd like this but even as a white chocolate hater it's not too bad Chocolate 7/10 surprisingly the most bland, kind of just tasted like a brownie Coffee 8/10 pretty simple coffee flavor going on here, very robust and a good pick for people that don't like super sweet Strawberry champagne 10/10 delicious!! Floral, sparkly, tastes like real strawberry not synthetic strawberry flavor Strawberry kiwi 10/10 delicious and beautiful! The kiwi flavoring comes through in a way I've never tasted with a sweet before Creme brûlée 10/10 my favorite!! The charred sugar on top was so delicious, paired perfect with the creamy marshmallowey flavor of the macaron. Again is a great pick if you don't like super sweet.

Loved that Coq AU Vin dish - very tasty, plenty of mushrooms and pearl onions. The steak frites were peppery but well complimented with the wine sauce. The cream brûlée was perfect - the sugar on top was a little bitter but that's what made it so good! The sliced strawberry complimented well with the bite! We will be back!

Service was prompt, we got our drinks almost as soon as we ordered them. We ordered the beef bourguignon and the coq a vin, dishes that were highly rated based on other reviews. The beef was incredibly dry, like it hadn't been cooked long enough or was cooked at too high of heat. I had to use a knife...bad sign for stew. Flavor lacked depth, which could be because it wasn't cooked low and slow enough. Portion wasn't huge, but it still was hard to finish. The fries were fine. The coq a vin was bland. Our plate has white and dark meat. The white meat was very dry, dark meat was better, but still lacked flavor. You could tell the chicken has been braised with wine, and was better than the beef, but marginally. The gratin potatoes were the best part of the coq a vin. We were really excited to try this place, but were pretty disappointed with the food. Maybe it was an off night.

Wife N. and I make the trip out here from Portland OR each year for a few days of getaway and…read morebasically eat our way around Fort Collins and Denver. This fine sunny and warm Sunday morning found us hopping in (again, we came last year) to La Crêperie to fight the crêpe withdrawals--it's been too long. Interior is very "Parisian cafe", period art, TVs showing videos of the pastry chefs doing their thing. She ordered a hot chocolate to start, and a Parisian crêpe (berries, whip cream, raspberry coulis). I ordered a galette (think square envelope-crêpe) from the savory side. I'd had it last visit and had been looking forward to a redux. I ordered the Professeur Steve, capers, mushrooms, caramelized onions, spinach and brie, which arrived with smoked salmon arranged like a rose at opposing corners (keeps it cold). Oh man, this brie-gooing mushroomy sweet-caramelly onion spinach umami explosion goes perfectly taken in a bite with the salmon. Addiction sated; withdrawals saved off until next June's visit. Wife's crêpe was delicious--everything sweet-toothers love. Hot chocolate is real. Like not from a packet but from a chocco chunk and paid labor somewhere nearby. Whipped cream was real, and thick enough that it could have been sliced and served on its own. Absolutely freaking delicious. Love this place. See you in a year!

With trepidation due to mixed reviews, we set out to La Creperie to satisfy my croissant craving…read more However, no worries--it was all good. Some of the parking is for the liquor store and is signed as such, leaving not a lot of room for eaters to park. We parallel parked on the side street. The woman who greeted us wasn't overly friendly, just business-like, and took us directly to our table. No waiting for us, but it was a July weekday, 10 am. It was busy, but not packed. There were two outdoor seating areas, as well. Our server, Monica, was kind and helpful when answering questions from us old folks. Prompt and attentive was her style, though not overly so. Husband ordered an omelet with meat, which was good, not exceptional. I had a croissant with real butter and great raspberry jam. And fresh slices of avocado as a side order. Croissant was flaky on outside and soft and somewhat airy on the inside, so I fell in love. I drank an unremarkable bagged Earl Grey tea with milk, and my dear enjoyed two Americanos. They serve Lavazza coffee, which I regret not ordering. Afterwards I decided there was too much water in my mug for the little tea bag hence my poor tea experience. Perhaps an additional bag or a smaller cup would've helped. Anyway, it all arrived beautifully and promptly. The decor is slightly cute, though a bit overly decorated (busy) for my taste, but I liked the butter-yellow paint color, and I appreciated the wood furniture instead of metal or plastic. Enjoyed the red and white checked curtains. So overall, it's almost cozy. I despise sitting shoulder to shoulder in restaurants and will walk out if that's how tables are arranged. But that wasn't an issue here. Yay. Also, the woman in the bakery section was nice. Leave your house now and enjoy your trip to La Creperie. Eat a croissant for me, okay?
