The Bagels are amazing here the staff is really nice and the hot sandwiches are really good

The bagel centered sandwiches here are excellent with generous portions of meat (if you're into that) and tasty bagels. Service is good but can get overwhelmed during lunch hour. However, the hot drink menu is confusing and bizarre in some places. This would be no big deal if it weren't a bagel place. Where arguably hot drinks are probably the menu item for which many frequent the establishment. Today, try as I might I couldn't simply get two espresso shots the advertised price on the sign. Both people working tried to ring it up as two separate espresso shots at around $3 a piece. They didn't bat an eyelash at my comment that why would I pay $6.50 for two espresso shots when a latte that contains two costs around $5. They said to ask upper management who sets the prices. Their sign for espresso has the sizes in oz which makes no sense as espresso itself is already a standard size/volume. But even the sizes on the menu for espresso have 2 shots, 3 shots, 4 shots written under them (priced reasonably as a drink) and then the price to add milk is +1. So, the menu pricing as designed makes some sense. But, the staff doesn't seem to understand how to ring up the items it would seem. Anyway, I had to settle for a latte as I couldn't bring myself to pay $6.50 for 2 shots of espresso. read more

Yikes! Even the bagels are bland? My wife who will eat ANYTHING couldn't finish her bagel. The bagels taste like nothing besides a burnt inside of an oven. The tuna was completely flavorless. The "veggie" was just unseasoned raw veggies but still somehow flavorless. The pickles are the only thing worth eating. I hate leaving poor reviews but this was the most disappointing bagel I have EVER eaten. Did I mention the bagels are flavorless besides this weird burnt taste? Wow, was a home run back in the day. It's been a while since I was in town. Dry, tasteless, & boring. Service was good.

Came here on a cold am in the fall while traveling. Just across from my hotel-I darted out and entered a warm cozy environment where I was Cheerfully greeted. The bagels are as good as any I've had in NYC and they have a nice variety. Although it was very early on a Sat am, there were people already here. I had an egg and cheese on an everything and it was yummy! All in all, I will certainly come back on my next trip to FoCo! read more

I've been to this location twice now. I get my bagel sandwich with cream cheese, and this location barely puts any on the bagel. At the location on Harmony, they pile on the cream cheese. Today when I arrived to pick up my order, the bagels were there but not the coffee drinks I had ordered. They had forgotten them, but made them quickly while I waited. We are staying close to this location, but if I was to return to FoCo, I would make the drive to the other location. read more

Food is great when you get it, but it takes forever. What use to be a 5 minute wait (maybe 10 minute wait if it was busy) is not like 25 to 30 minute wait. Online orders should take a backseat to people in store. Don't go to the Harmony location during lunch time. My husband waited a half hour for a bagel. It wasn't toasted, just a sliced bagel. Been ordering a dozen bagels every other week for close to 20 years from Gibs exclusively. South Shields address. Thinking of changing to another place to get my bagels as Gibs has quietly started making their bagels smaller. I have noticed this over the past month or two. Thinner, not as full as usual. When I inquire with the help there, they basically shrug their shoulders and say something to the affect of different bakers.... The last three batches of a dozen I have bought are only about 80% of what they used to be. (multi-grain) Good news is they haven't really raised prices. When I saw gluten free bagel option on their menu, I thought it would be great to try a locally made option. When I go to a local brewery or local cookie store, I can get locally made gluten free options. But Gibbs just marks up Canyon Bakehouse bagels by 40% over the grocery store price. The Gibbs menu does not indicate that the gluten free bagels are store bought and I didn't see them move the bagels from the Canyon bag to a paper bag until I had already paid for 2 bagels. read more

She had longer light brown hair pulled back in a ponytail. She had an attitude, no smile on her face disrespectful to the customers, I almost walked out. I ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches to go. The jalapeños bagel has no jalapeños on it. The cheese served is the melted kind used for nachos, the meat was paper thin 1 slice, and it cost $15. For 2. Gib's is great for a quick bagel run. Their bagel selection and cream cheese selection are pretty good. However, the bagels weren't super fresh, at least the one I got on my breakfast sandwich. They're reasonably priced and there is a decent wait. They were about 8-9 people ahead of me on Sunday at around 11. It went by quick though. Its definitely worth a shot if bagels are your thing. I've lived here for 19 years and this bagel place has consistently ruined bagels for me. The bagels are fine. I moved here from NY so not impressive, but fine. It's the service & Deli that are horrible. Not only does it seem like you are bothering the employees to take your order, but it is consistently never right. If you go back to have it corrected they want to give you a free bagel card and honestly at this point I have 7 unused cards. Even when my husband orders it gets bungled up. From sandwiches to dozen bagel orders nothing is ever as ordered. Shut down the shops & let local stores carry the bagels already. read more

I walked in starving. I ordered an egg and cheese breakfast bagel and large coffee. Bagel was tasteless. I wonder if the egg portion was real egg or something poured out of a carton. It was unsalted with no dressing. No flavor. Not even adequate packets of salt and pepper could bring flavor. I ended up throwing over half of it away. The benches are wood - no pad for seating. The best thing this place has going for it is the staff is super friendly. And cute. Don't judge me - it matters. The prices are crazy. Two bagels with cream cheese is $8. The breakfast sandwiches are even more - something like $5 for the least expensive. The bagels are pretty average. Not very big and kind of chewy most days. The location is decent and I've never had an issue with parking. They do get busy from around 7-9:30am and they seem to have plenty of staff, however you will wait for about 3-5 minutes to get your order. read more
