Was in Grand Rapids for a layover and decided to check this place out since I've never had it before. Was a bit confused on how to get into the place but eventually found the doors. I ordered a small iced raspberry mocha decaf latte with skim milk. It was ok. Not the flavor I'm used to but it actually got a little better the more I drank it. Had a good experience. The only thing I dislike is the price. $6 for a small latte??? Nah!! These prices are seriously getting out of hand. Whatever tho. Nothing I can do except be poor cause no one pays enough. I ordered from this store through DoorDash this morning. I was disappointed when I started drinking my Frozen Campfire Latte. It was suppose to be a blended frozen drink and instead it had huge chunks of ice in it--pictured below. Very poorly blended. If I wanted chunks of ice in my latte I would have ordered an iced latte. In addition to the huge chunks of ice there were smaller balls of ice in the whole drink-- making it undrinkable. This is not the first time I've had this happen with a frozen drink from this store. The first time I came in here on vacation- fantastic! Got a pumpkin cold brew with white mocha cold foam and a bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich. It was quiet, we were one of the only customers in here at the time. The second time we stopped in there was a short line of 3 people. I ordered the same thing only 2 of each. This time, there was another woman at the counter aside from the quiet, but pleasant one from the day before. This second woman appeared to possibly be a manager or someone in charge? Not sure but she overheard me ordering and told the girl who took my same exact order the day prior that I "was referring to the turkey bacon sandwich" special that they had posted. I made sure to tell the girl it was the "bacon egg and cheese with the cream cheese on it." I paid and waited for my food then we left to head to the airport. Unwrapped our sandwiches and immediately realized the girl gave us two turkey bagel sandwiches. I walked back inside and stood there for about 5 mins before the quieter girl acknowledged me, I said "we wanted the bacon egg and cheese bagels, these are turkey sandwiches" immediately she looked at me and then at the other woman with sheer annoyance because she knew she had heard me correctly and that the other woman was not correct in her assumption of what I asked for. Overall, still good food and great coffee, but the staff either needs to be better trained or learn to work together a little better because a short line of 3 people should not have drastically changed the customer experience the way that it did that day. read more

I love Biggby Coffee, my wife introduced me to it and it's evidence enough that great local chains can do some really good work in a crowded coffee landscape. I like their sugar free chocolate a lot and we'll usually stop when we're nearby a location. This location downtown is a bit small and cramped feeling compared to other's I've been in and it lacks a lot of the soul and heart I think some of the other locations have when their more standalone stops. The staff was nice but distracted (despite it being dead inside) and they didn't seem to care if we were there or not. I know filling staff at a busy downtown location coffee shop is probably a challenge but this just didn't feel that warm and inviting. The coffee was still good, but I didn't really feel like I wanted to stay and sip a while. read more

Comparable to their other locations in town, their drinks are great from their coffees to their teas. Wait times are decent considering their steady stream of customers since it's in the heart of downtown, and seating can be limited depending on what events are going on downtown. read more

Well.. I walked in and looked at the menu and immediately walked straight out. The prices are expensive, it was 5$ for a small iced coffee.. that's outrageous, like if I wanted to spend 5$ on a coffee I'd go to Starbucks and get a large. The "restaurant" was cute but the bright colors made it look childish considering the outside was more simple and based on a color scheme, when you walk in it's like a rainbow threw up. I went to one of a few locations here in Grandville, 4533 Ivanrest Ave SW B, on my 30 minute lunch break. Lots of parking places are provided for smooth and quick access. Frequent coupons are also sent out and advertised on many platforms such as instagram, facebook, email and more, so you can always get your favorite drinks at the best price. I ordered a 20 oz Caramel Marvel, extra hot to warm me up as it has been so chilly out. This drink is available, as well as many others, in hot, iced, or frozen. My order was less than $5 and I had a dollar off coupon! It was a great price for such a good beverage. A perfectly put together drink came out and my specification for extra hot was achieved. Thanks for making my bagel promptly which tasted good for one bite. I enjoyed waiting fifteen minutes to get my hot chocolate while it got cold. Also if you eat gluten free don't bother they put the cheese between the foil and egg instead of in the middle of the meat and egg. This was my first time at this location. The coffee was good, which was to be expected. What surprised me the most about this location was how quite it was inside compared to the busy outside. With that being said, the inside shop offers little space to sit and enjoy your drink. My suggestion, take advantage of the out door seating. This location is in a great spot when walking around town. I stopped in to grab a small coffee and service was friendly and quick. The store was very clean. Knocked off one star because I said no whip but they put it on there anyways, not a big deal but I was the only customer there so they weren't busy or anything. This is a very dirty location. There was dirt all over the tables and chairs and no one was cleaning it up. It also had a foul smell of body odor. Also, expect your usual panhandling outside of the door. I would not suggest this location to anyone. Too much stress and dirt for subpar coffee. read more

The staff on my last visit was super friendly! The girl at the front register struck up a conversation about music with my stepdaughter and they both shared stories about seeing their favorite bands. My step daughter thought it was cool that she was actually interacting with the staff and not treated like just another kid. I'm actually not a big fan of Biggby and only came to this one because of convenience of the location. However the small act of kindness in taking time out to interact with a guest was greatly appreciated. Thank you! read more

Extremely disappointed with Manager policy, He really needs to get with this tech century. I do enjoy Biggby, utilize their loyalty card on the app & receive emails with coupons. However - this location refuses to accept the digital version of any coupon. It has to be printed - which I had no option to do standing in front of them, nor should it be necessary. Every other location I visit accepts the digital verson - and they get my business. Today - as they informed me they would not accept my coupon, my group of 5 just walked out... you lost our sale & business. Mr. Owner - I would really invite you to reconsider your policy, as I'm sure this isn't the only sale you've lost, or repeat sales you've lost for those that refuse to come back. read more

Good location in downtown GR. The coffee is pretty good (I had the French Roast). 6-7 different brews are offered in self serve thermos dispensers include their house blend, french roast, hazlenut and others (even a couple of decaf and organic brews). The place seats about 20, has a fireplace, and has friendly/helpful service. The oatmeal raisin and chocolate chunk cookies were average. Free WiFi connection is fast. The music they play won't put you to sleep neither will it make you want to head bang. Biggby doesn't have much character but it's solid for reading, work, and conversation. read more

Went to use a bogo coupon from our email. Got our phone out to show them it and they said they don't take it off the phone. We have to have a printed copy. Although every other one we've been to let's us just show them the email. They said the reasoning was because of company policy. So your companies policy is to waste a piece of paper when you can easily take the code off of the email? Not very eco friendly there. read more

No disappointments in Biggby's brews and lattes, and it is certainly refreshing to know that a chain coffee shop can actually understands the actual meaning of the words "macchiato" and "cappucino". The service is wonderful- they are friendly, helpful and efficient- and you can basically custom order any drink you could possibly scheme up. All roads seem to lead past busy downtown's elegant restaurants, eclectic art shops, buzzing pubs and clubs and chique boutiques to this corner-dwelling downtown apex situated just across Monroe Center from Rosa Parks' Circle, it's easily accessible by bus, foot, bike, or car. The only downside to this cafe is that it is very unlike the slow-paced, individually-owned coffee shops frequently seen in Grand Rapids. It doesn't have that attractive "in-house" experience that includes ceramic mugs and non-commercialized decor. It's all paper and plastic here. BUT- it is a Michigan/Mid-west based coffee chain, and is a better choice for supporting the local economy than most. read more

My problem with this location is that it is either a great or terrible experience. I frequent this location, as I work in the downtown area. I've heavily debated writing my complaints, as I am not usually comfortable doing so. However, my experience this morning (between 7:45 and 8) absolutely terrible. I ordered 2 iced coffees with creamer and vanilla, and the cashier immediately said "I'll leave you room for creamer. You can do it yourself." I asked the cashier to please do it for me, as I'm running late for work. She hesitantly agreed, and asked if I wanted "skim, whole milk, half/half or 2%." I told her "It doesn't matter." When I went over to wait for my drinks, I noticed a jug of 2% milk had been left on the edge of the counter with the cap off. My first thought was, 'Wow, they must have forgotten it was there, that's rather unsanitary.' When the barista called out my drinks, she said "Two iced coffees. The milk is right there for you," and turned away from me. I said, "She said you guys would put it in for me," to which she replied, "Yeah, well I don't know how much people like in their coffees. The milk is right there." I looked at the drinks, which had NO room for anything to be added (no exaggeration, either. They were so full, coffee started leaking out of the top of the container on my walk to work). I tried explaining to the barista that I had paid for a coffee with the cream in it, and if Starbucks or any other coffee shop can put cream in the drinks for the customer, I don't understand why Biggby can't. The barista looked from me to the open jug of milk on the counter. I didn't have the room or time to fuss with fixing two drinks, so I took them to work. I don't understand why these two baristas have such a problem making a drink the way the customer ordered in the store. If I were in Biggby drive thru, the baristas would put the cream in for me (they wouldn't put a jug of milk out on the curb for me to pour myself). I can appreciate someone wanting to make sure our drinks are to our liking by putting a little less cream in the drink, but to not put anything at all and put a jug of milk on the edge of the counter for the customer?? I love BiggBy coffee and their Carmel latte is one of the best. When I went into the store today their staff was extremely rude. Biggby has great coupons but apparently their staff didn't want to honor the coupon I presented. Also the drinks were not even hot but lukewarm. I'll be going to Starbucks in Grand Rapids from now on. read more
