I received a Buc-ee's dog leash as a gift, and the very first time I used it, it broke. Luckily, I have a good boy and didn't run off, which could have easily turned into a dangerous situation. For something as basic as a dog leash, I would think the quality would be more reliable, and this clearly wasn't. I went back to the store looking for an exchange, not even a refund, and that's where things got super weird and frustrating. I was told by the Manager Miah that without a receipt, nothing could be done. But, in the same conversation, she told me the item would also need to be in "resellable condition." .... HMMMMM.... wait, that doesn't make much sense. Let me get this straight, if the product is defective and broke on first use, how would it ever be resellable? BUuuuuuut if I did have a receipt, suddenly the broken leash is acceptable for exchange? The logic just didn't add up. Miah then insisted on stressing "store policy" and that she could lose her job for making an exception. But isn't store policy to satisfy your customers and provide them with an experience that makes them want to return. That's hard to believe that taking care of a customer over a clearly defective $20 item would be a fireable offense. Come on guys, where is the use of basic common sense. The most disappointing is that I've been a loyal Buc-ee's customer. Every year before visiting family overseas, we spend $100's of dollars on Buc-ee's merchandise, snacks, and gifts to take with us. It's been a tradition, one that ended today. Completely shocked that a company valued at over $2 Billion would choose to stand firm over a $20 defective leash. How about you guys do a better job training management to handle situations like this with a little flexibility and customer-first thinking vs. scaring them into losing their jobs, which loses customers! I used to enjoy shopping at Buc-ee's, but after this experience, I def. will not be back!

I've been bringing my vehicles here for almost 2 months at this point. I rent vehicles on Turo so…read morethere's times when my cars are getting rented twice weekly so the same cars will get washed multiple times in a week span. Yesterday I brought my Tesla in to get washed and the employees there wiped so hard on the lettering that they bent the decal off along with one of the letters. You can see the fibers from the cleaning mitts they used stuck under the lettering. The lead staff informed me and we both took pictures of the affected area. I suggested that I would just order the replacement letters from Amazon and just be refunded next time in at the shop. The lead staff told me that she would have the boss contact me. Moving forward, the boss calls me and instantly begins absolving the shop of any responsibility, saying first, "Oh the shop that wrapped your car did a faulty job so take it back to them." Then after I explained to her that they've washed this same car several times and this NEVER happened, she said, "Oh it's the sun that caused this to happen." As a business owner myself I pride myself on making things right versus absolving myself of any liability. The replacement lettering was $39 on Amazon, less than the price I pay for a wash, but instead of making it right they wanted to make excuses and sidestep the issue. Needless to say, they've lost out on a customer that spends over $500 monthly on car wash services for multiple cars. If you have a higher end vehicle or any vehicle that is wrapped don't go to this place. If anything happens they'll make an excuse to avoid paying anything out.

However, I canceled my car wash membership about seven months ago when they switched to a new system and increased their rates. At that time, they asked for my card to continue service, and I declined because I did not want to proceed at the higher rate. I assumed my account was canceled. Unfortunately, I did not check my bank account for several months, and I later discovered that I had been charged the higher membership rate the entire time -- even though I did not use the service. I have been trying to resolve this issue for about two months, but I have received no response or follow-up communication. While I appreciate the quality of their work and the kindness of the staff, the lack of communication and billing issue is very disappointing. As of today, I still have not been contacted. My account has now been canceled. I am giving one star -- one star for the cleaning quality and friendliness, but the overall experience regarding billing and communication has been frustrating.

From Alex G.'s energetic spirit to the welcoming and helpful spirit of Jeremiah. My experience here WILL make me come back. Alex G. Was very informative in regards to the deals and types of carwashes are available, and even was able to answer my question about an Annual Membership that I DO plan on getting. Jeremiah was super sweet and literally helped me vacuum out my car, and taught me the coolest carpet hack with the air blower. BlueWave gained a loyal customer. I stayed alittle after, and noticed that they treat ALL their customers this way. So if you are in the Katy area and close to the BlueWave Kingsland STOP BYE! You wont regret it.
