It's nice to have different food options depending on the night, and it gives us another reason to keep coming back. I'm not a big drinker, so I can't really speak much on their drink selection, but the service is always great. Everyone is usually friendly and welcoming, which definitely adds to the experience. A couple of things that could be better: it can get pretty toasty inside during the summer, which I'm not a huge fan of, and their speaker system can be a little rough during music bingo. Sometimes it's hard to hear the songs clearly. Other than that, this has become one of our regular spots.

The location is a laid back and comfortable farmhouse with great outdoor seating and a smooth indoor draft service. Awesome selection of both draft beers and, most importantly, cider. I really love that they're always hosting events here! I'm also a huge fan of the rotating food…read moretrucks and seasonal brews. There's always something different going on, which keeps things interesting and gives me a reason to keep coming back. I also really like that they serve wine too, so there's something for everyone depending on what you're in the mood for. Service has never been an issue for me. It's always been fast and efficient, even when they're busy. My biggest complaint is honestly the crowds. A lot of times it gets really crowded, and there isn't enough parking, so you end up having to park across the street. The problem is that there's no traffic light there, which makes crossing the street pretty stressful when traffic is heavy. The left turn out of the place can also be frustrating because it's on such a busy road. It can cause traffic to back up, and I've seen some pretty questionable situations with cars trying to get in and out. And once it gets crowded, seating becomes another issue. There simply isn't enough seating for the number of people who show up. Obviously, it's a great problem for the business to have, but not necessarily a great experience for customers. Overall, I really enjoy coming here for the events, food trucks, seasonal brews, and wine. I just wish the parking, traffic, and seating situation were better because those things can definitely take away from an otherwise great experience.

I ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich with fresh fruit & a Strawberry Lemonade Cocktail. The chicken salad was horrible, lol like I actually took one bite & couldn't eat anymore. I'm so happy this place is open that I'm still giving it 5 stars, despite not eating the sandwich.

The staff were friendly and nice; our waitress even made some conversation at our table for a little bit. The outdoor dining area had a cute setup; def would like to see how it is during the summer. I don't remember the name of the drink I got because I asked the lady at the order window to make whichever one was both fruity and sweet. I'd give the drink an 8/10; it was pretty good, but became watered down really really fast. Didn't try any food off the menu because we were already planning to go eat after we left the farm, but after looking at the menu, I definitely see myself going back here soon to try their food and whatever new seasonal items/drinks they'll be adding to the menu in the next month or so. My overall rate of experience : 8.5/10

Neither offered any food items we wanted so we decided to grab a bite nearby at the Sanctuary. We had a decent time at the Norfolk Flea Market but unfortunately, we didn't find anything we wanted to purchase. I selected The Veil as the spot for my UYE and enjoyed an evening of talking shop with the great J David H. while we drank those great beers. The Veil is a comfortable spot in the Railroad District and we were sitting in their dining area on the ground floor. Big tables and plenty of room this afternoon. Which we needed because that burger and fries needed elbow room to enjoy. I'd only suggest a pump-based ketchup dispenser as the packet thing is tedious. They opened here in 2019 - well after I was done with my projects in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake - transforming this three-story space into a family-friendly taproom and restaurant. The full kitchen specializes in indulgent smashburgers and Neapolitan-style pizzas that pair perfectly with the brewery's bold stouts, hazy IPAs, and seasonal sours. We didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the Only You Bar & Lounge upstairs. Maybe that's the next visit to Hampton Roads. [Round number review 1500 in Virginia - 911 of 2025 - 24467 overall]

This is literally a garage door Brewery. From what I can tell, everything is small batch ( see photos of Brewing area). I almost want to stop here, because from the sampling I have had the beer is AWESOME SAUCE. So far, this is the best beer I have had in the area, and I have already visited about 10 breweries between Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Chesapeake. I literally could waste my days here. But, it wouldn't be any where near a waste. I think I'm in love. The BEER: Break Water Cream Ale 4% ABV... Smooth and delicious, all day crushable. New Moon Schwarzbier 4.9% ABV... this is closer to a Stout with some smoke, it is very good. I was hoping for the Rausch bier flavor. Still quite delicious. Kaiyo Rice Lager 5.5% ABV... Oh Wow!!! Creamy and delicious. Reminds me of coconut water. This would pair well with just about anything. The BEST. Teak Beach tropical IPA 7.7% ABV... Party in my mouth... thus is AMAZING!!! pineapple, guava or mango, and coconut. Brian says, pineapple and Coconut, but my mind is going tropic crazy. This IPA is low in IBUs and high in full robust flavor. If you love craft beer and you are in the area. If you miss Rip Rap Brewing in Norfolk, Virginia, you have truly missed something special.
