I purchased anew F-250 Super Duty P/U a few weeks ago. The F-250 emblems on the side of the truck were missing due to Ford's supply chain problems. I get a notice from Ford that the emblems are now available and I called up Big Star Ford service department to try to schedule installation. The service representative was clueless about this even though I gave him my VIN and the Ford Service Program Number. Then he suggested that I bring the truck in and leave it with them for a couple of days to get this work done, even though it's about 30 minutes worth of work. I finally got in touch with the Dealership Service Manager who confirmed that they had the parts in-stock and could install them while I waited. Do not buy a car here. The used car dealership will talk you through the deal, but won't show you a paper with the prices and all the additions they've added to the car that is over and above the internet price they've shown. This is a typical bait-and-switch tactic. Bait with a low internet price, then put on wheel locks, nitrogen in the tires, location services, etc. Then they hand you to the commercial side of the house, where you sign documents on an electronic pad without seeing the actual document. I assume they have a lot of issues as they have multiple cameras in the deal room to cover themselves. The service center constantly tries to upsell you on unnecessary and expensive services. I had the pleasure of receiving a service on my car before they even called me to tell me the price of the service. Unbelievable. Please shop somewhere else. It's such a headache buying a used car at Big Star Ford, and servicing my car there as well. read more

I want to take a moment to commend the team at Big Star Ford for such a great experience while buying my truck. My situation was rather unique in that I was looking for a very specific F150 and was also in the process of moving to Texas from out of state. From the moment that the New Car Director, Buzz Morgan, reached out to me, I could tell that the team at Big Star was a group of down-to-earth, straight shooting individuals. I had talked to countless other dealerships around my prior home area (New England) as well as in Texas, and most all of them had been stereotypical / painful car salesman conversations.... by that, I mean immediate hard-nosed negotiations that start at sky high numbers that make it clear the dealership is trying to screw you over as much as possible. This was not the story at Big Star. Buzz was willing to hear about what other dealerships had offered me and have an open discussion to quickly settle on a price that I found to be incredibly fair. He remained both low pressure and responsive throughout the whole experience. After coming to an agreement with Buzz, I was fortunate to deal with Sales and Acquisitions Manager, Mark Labberton, to sort out the logistics of the sale. Given that I was buying the car remotely, this was no doubt more demanding than a standard sale. Mark, however, went above and beyond my expectations in every way. From coordinating the paperwork and logistics all the way through keeping me me updated about when my truck would arrive on the lot. He even texted me truck pictures and got my truck to a custom shop to get a bed cover installed prior to my pick up date. Lastly, the Finance Manager, Clay Sanford, created an equally accommodating environment. My last car buying experience was at a dealership where the finance manager was tasked with tacking on additional add ons, so I was on guard. Clay, however, was great in guiding me through the payment process and explaining any line item or document I had a question about. Overall, I can't recommend Big Star highly enough for your next car or truck purchase. The people at Big Star make all the difference and created a great experience for me. We agreed upon a price, I drove a few hours to test drive and pick up the car. They take me to the "back desk" where they hand over the agreement with an extra $2,000 in addendums added on they say they can't remove for things like "wheel locks" and a "security tracking service". I told them to remove the $2K in charges we hadn't agreed to and they refused. They knew I had driven 6 hours to get there and I had invested a lot of effort in this car. They flat out told me they had to lie to compete with other online prices. I suppose that was the only time they were honest during our interaction. I refuse to support dishonest dealerships and walked. Very frustrating that they think it is acceptable to just lie to get you in the door. Took my truck after hitting a washout told them I was having issues with bad steering/leaking on the diff seal/4wd and to also check a rear leaking seal...they changed out the axle/seals front/back and the differential and apparently the wheel bearing and alignment was done .. so more than half new internals.. I continued to have popping noises from passenger front wheel ..continued to not work like I used to and my alignment need to be redone.. they replaced the same wheel bearing...( again ) and did an alignment (again) .. drove it off again still had popping passenger wheel .. I decided to take it to a suspension shop... the ball joints and torsion bar and other parts were replace... (Ford should have fixed from the beginning but was not diagnosed right) but not before they told me that my front diff housing was bent .. and was rubbing on my left front passenger side ....... So Big Star should have just charged me for a full front differential with new suspension parts and this would have been fixed right .... Here's the kicker ford doesn't just sell the housing you have to but it fully assembled.. big star has new parts in labor in a bent housing.. so what do they tell me when I take it back ... to take my truck to a frame shop for them to unbend the housing... I'm furious!!!! Throwing their mess up back on me when if diagnosed right it should have been fixed since the first time... place is a joke . I found a vehicle that I was interested in on Cargurus that was at Big Star Ford in Manvel, TX. I clicked the button to receive additional information and immediately, I was contacted by a salesman named John Cole. It was about 8 p.m. at the time, and John asked me if I could come in to view the vehicle the following day. I scheduled an appointment to meet with him at 5:30 p.m. the next day. He sent me a confirmation via text and email and event went so far as to send me a video of the vehicle. I left work a little early and drove from Porter, TX to Manvel in rush hour traffic only to arrive at the dealership to be told that John Cole was off on that day and that the vehicle I was coming in to view had been sold earlier that day. No one bothered to contact me to let me know. When I spoke with a manager, he basically told me that everyone is entitled to a day off and sent me on my merry way. DO NOT HAVE YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED AT BIG STAR FORD!!! I brought my vehicle to Big Star Ford because I trusted the expertise that accompanies ford brand, but I was gravely mistaken. I feel like the service team was just shooting in the dark and charging me for their experimentation. I paid over $600 in diagnostic fees and I trusted that a complete diagnosis would be performed, but instead they took that money found some surface level stuff and led me to believe that if I paid the quoted price that my vehicle would be fixed. My original initial estimate was about 5-6K by the time everything was said and done the cost was up to 13K. They kept my vehicle for over a month and when I got it back it was actually in worst condition than when I dropped it off at Big Star Ford. After a month of them having my vehicle, I came to pick it up and before I could drive it off the lot my check engine light was back on, and the vehicle would not go over 50 MPH. I would think that after they made a repair someone would confirm that the repair actually fixed the problem. This obviously did not occur. A week later I came back to pick up my vehicle again and found that now my radio and rear-view camera were no longer working. I requested that someone look at it and I was told that my only option was to leave the vehicle for what I can only assume would be at least another week and a couple thousand more dollars. After being fed up I took my vehicle and left with no radio, no rear view camera, and the with the root cause never being addressed. I paid Big Star Ford over 8K and I feel as though I was taken advantage of. I was baited in with the low estimate and then once I was already locked in and had no other options they started finding things to repair all while never getting to the root cause. This was the worst service experience, and I will do what I can to ensure that they don't take advantage of anyone else in the same manner that they took advantage of me. Big star Ford service department had our silver F150 4 x 4 truck in their service department shop for seven weeks. There is a problem with the connectivity from the Ford app to the truck and there is a problem with the transmission. Big star Ford also lied to us multiple times about when they were going to have the truck ready. We went back yesterday and they sent us back home and had my husband drive back in the truck and had it for an hour or two and the app still does not connect to the truck and the transmission is still damaged. The condition of the transmission Is worse than it was before we took it in. My husband is an experienced auto technician and used to work for fire stone and is trained and qualified to do the work on his transmission however, he does not have the time or the garage or the tools to do it. Because of this, he is relying on his warranty that he has paid for. big star ford does have the resources to Repair it and still is not able to. This has made it difficult for me to see my children for two months. I had to tell my nine-year-old yesterday that we had to take the truck back and we cannot take him magnet fishing and my children are in an abusive situation. My ex husband has Ben reported for child abuse over 70 times by multiple sources. every time I see my kids I never know if it may be the last time that I ever see them again. Because of the irresponsibility and the incompetence of big star Ford and their inability to repair the truck because I don't know what they're doing with the car for seven weeks and they cannot repair it after having it for almost 2 months. This is also going to cost me my job and it's going to cost us losing one of our health insurances and I have an auto immune disease and I cannot afford to go without medical care. I have also been struggling with my health in the past year because I have been through a lot of trauma and it has affected my health. Big star ford and their incompetence in repairing the transmission in his truck is affecting our ability to have reliable transportation for both of us which means I will have to be staying at home, and I will be trapped in the apartment without transportation while my husband goes to work. My husband is also paying $816 on this truck and the transmission is ruined. Because of the transmission it is in worse shape than it was when we first brought it in. There is no power when the truck has to go up hill. We have left multiple reviews and until this is resolved, we will continue to reviews. The sad part about this is that this is fun and games for big star Ford, but this is affecting our personal lives and valuable time with our family, especially my children. If I did have my children over and I do not have a car and there was an emergency, I don't have transportation thanks Big Star Ford. Big star Ford had my F150, 4 x 4 Ford truck for seven whole weeks. My Wife because of this has not been able to see her Sons for the same amount of time because of big star Ford. This has also affected us financially, and we have been trying to catch up and it has made it difficult to pay for groceries and bills because we use this truck to bring an extra income. Unfortunately, during the entire seven weeks that big star Ford had my F150 in their possession, they did not repair the transmission correctly. Big star Ford is going to find out that this was a big mistake on their part because as I have previously stated in My Wife has previously stated in our negative reviews for the dealership that I have 16 years experience as a lead tech for Firestone. I also previously stated that I used to repair 30 to 40 cars and trucks a week. I also know how to diagnose mechanical problems, and I have repaired mini transmissions. The question that comes up for my wife and myself is What is the staff and management and text doing for almost 2 months With cars in their possession that people are making payments on and are not able to use for their own transportation? Unfortunately, thanks to Big Star Ford. The transmission in my truck does not have any pulling power going up hill. As the result of the transmission not being repaired correctly, it has a negative effect on the fuel efficiency of the truck. The fuel efficiency of the truck has gone down from 20 miles a gallon down to 12 miles a gallon. Big star Ford also failed to repair the connectivity issue between the app and the truck. This is a serious failure that big star Ford and their staff is responsible for in their service department and the main reason why is because I am a highly experienced tech. If big star Ford service department can screw over and try to take advantage of someone who is knowledgeable about the mechanics Automobiles, I can only imagine How many people who do not have the mechanical knowledge that I have Have, that have been taken advantage and victimized by the incompetence and failure of big star Ford service department! read more

I brought my 2019 Ford to the shop because it was making loud noises upon start up, only to find the cam shafts had to be replaced in the engine. The truck only had 40,000 or so miles on it. The dealership did not supply a loaner vehicle, The truck was fully covered for warranty, that was purchased. The truck ended up being in the shop for 4 1/2 weeks. I rented a vehicle from an individual and Ford is not wanting to reimburse me, because it was not rented through Avis or Enterprise. I've brought my 2019 Ford f250 Super Duty to Big Star back in September for a fuel leakage from a return hose and I didn't get it back until late November. I brought it back yesterday (why I don't know) for a CAC hose that "burst" and they tell me that it's over 2grand to repair among other stuff but I called another reputable shop in Houston and they told me it'll cost me a little less than $300. Stopped in for a oil change on my gmc Denali. Took about a hr and a half to finish wasn't a big deal. As soon as I pulled out of the dealership all of my lug nuts from my rear passenger side tire came off. Did I mention it was raining and had my 2 sons in the truck with me. I had to pull on the side of the road and call them to come and put my tire back on. I waited about 30min for them to show up with the wrong side Jack. After they finally got the tire back on I headed back to the shop to see if it was more damage but of course they said it wasn't. Furthermore talked to the service manager about the situation and she explained to me that "they were using a new impact". She explained to me that they would come and detail my car and that's all she could do but it's been almost 2 weeks and haven't heard from anybody from the dealership. Definitely would not recommend using this dealership to buy anything. And if you use them for oil changes make sure you go with your wife. They tried to sale my wife on THOUSANDS of work that they claimed she needed when she just went in for a standard oil change that came with the purchase of the vehicle. She kept politely declining the work and they kept pressuring her. She finally called me and I told them that I knew the car didn't need said work but would have our mechanic look at it. Sure enough when our mechanic looked at the car the ONLY issue he found was that we will need two new tires in the future... not major yet and also NOT one of the many issues they said the car had. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with on any platform. When I sat down with the service writer (Rosemary) I did not receive any type of hello, good day, not even for her to even look at me as I'm sitting at her desk. Upon explaining the issues with my vehicle she gets up mid conversation and walks out without any excuse me/ pardon me I have to cut you off and step out. Just got up a left. Had to get my torque converter replaced and in doing so the technician had to dismantle the exhaust system (cats dropped) to remove transmission. Driving home from the dealership a check engine light came on indicating there was a failure in the catalyst (cat converter) system which was never a problem prior to bringing it to the dealership. Upon bringing this to the dealerships attention (manager Jeff K) and asking them to correct the issues they have now caused; they have refused to correct the issue and not taking any responsibility what so ever. My recommendation is do not EVER take your vehicle to this dealership as they live up to stereotype of workers in the auto industry that most try to avoid at all costs. read more

Service Department is terrible. I bought the 3 Oil Change "Advantage Care", which includes car wash and tire rotation and seemed like a good deal, but I won't renew. As I write this, I'm still waiting for my "Quick Lane" oil change...I've been here 3 hours. Last time, they didn't wash my car or rotate my tires. Plus they lost my engine shroud. I purchased a Toyota Rav4 from Big Star Ford. It came with the Advantage Plus option, which come with 3 oil changes for $100.00. My first oil change took 2 hours. My second oil change took 1.5 hours. Also, when I got my car back everything from my dashboard had been emptied onto my passenger seat, including my Toyota Genuine Accessory Wheel locks. They had spilled and I cannot find them anywhere. When I mean they deserve zero stars. There is always an issue. TJ seems to not understand how to answer the phone when he is the designated service coordinator for your vehicle. I've dropped my car off for oil changes, diagnostics, and now two recalls. I realize and take accountability for being a repeat-repeat offender. Realistically my issue is that when you are promised 24-48 hours they will intentionally start on your car on the third day. Several times has it taken me sitting in the dealership for them to begin working on my car. I will be speaking with the GM because I can no longer do the subpar service, communication and terrible customer service. pls do not waste your time buying a car, getting your car serviced or attempting to have a recall fixed. I have been Ford customer for a very long time. My next car will not be Ford. I bought a Ford escape 2018, I have five recalls on it already. And when you take it in for the oil change which I purchased the advance value package, they do not do the proper oil change . My tires Did not get rotated, like it should , it's included in the package. All the liquids was not replaced or changed . Not only that, one time had a slash on my tire which they ended up fixing it because I caught it right away. Today I did a oil change the third one and the final one of my package , they absolutely did nothing except for change the oil. Everything else was left alone . tomorrow I'm taking my car somewhere else and pay for it to get a proper oil change. All those tanks were empty. They always lose your bolts for your tires. I came here for an oil change and tire rotation. See my tip for their deal. I called this morning for an 11am appt and was treated so well. This is located across the highway from Costco in Pearland. There is an obvious service drive through. It's very organized - entrance and exit. Spacious. I was greeted right away. My info was taken and I was offered a free chair massage!!! These look like the ones you see at Brookstone stores. Loved it!!! They have their Big Star Ford money for this lol. There is Holland auto glass here is as well and they repaired the rock chips on my windshield. Covered by my insurance. They have a spacious waiting area. Small cafe and small ford store w small snacks. It was explained in detail what was done to my car. I was escorted to the cashier window to pay. They were kind and attentive without overdoing it. Ugh, where should I even start? We bought our 2019 fusion from big star ford new. Not long after having it we had to bring it back because the rear light in the window was leaking when it rained. It got fixed but that was only the beginning of the car's issues and our start of many services. The car started to make noises and didn't seem quite right so we brought it in for service to be informed that the car's engine is on recall. The car was there for months getting the new engine. It is what it is I understand and was fine waiting for the car to be done. I texted and called to keep in touch with our service rep Michael. Unless I was reaching out to her( yes I said her) I wasn't getting updated. She eventually lets us know the car will need a new water pump which is over a grand. The water pump wasn't considered a part of the engine I guess. Before picking the car up we are informed that the battery is now not holding a charge. They wanted me to pay another like $230. For the battery and like $60. For them to install it. I told her if they had been cranking the car or had the battery charging while they worked on the engine for months that we wouldn't need a new battery. Literally after getting the car home when we first crank it and start to drive it would start throwing codes up on the dash screen and steering wheel would be hard to turn. We make another service appointment and drop the car off to big star ford. Now mind you we keep going here even though we live over an hour away because we bought the car new from them and thought we'd get good service. After weeks of reaching out to Michael she tells me whatever is wrong isn't due to their replacement of the engine and they're sending the car to their electrical and trim department. Days later she tells me that the part I need to repair the car is on back order and no eta on arrival on an. Every now and then I'd text asking for an update. All the reply I'd get is no eta. I eventually called their parts department and asked about the part. The parts department gentleman informed me that the part is indeed on back order that some should be released from the company soon but still no guarantee that my car would get one. Which I understand but at least he let me know. I then called the 1(800) number for ford customer service and started a case number hoping to get one of the released parts. Days later the lady from the (800) customer service called and texted me she spoke to the dealership about the part and car. That the part arrived at big star ford and my car would be ready soon. Two days later I call big star ford to inquire about the fusion and I was told that everything the (800) service rep said was wrong, that what the parts guy was telling me I was wrong. Eventually Michael texts me telling me the car is finished and ready for pick up. I start on my hour drive there only to get 40 minutes in for Michael to send me another text saying something else is wrong with the car. We are still waiting on the update on that one. The fusion has been at their shop since March 2023 and it's now close to the end of June. We haven't really had the car in like a year between the engine replacement, all the parts and waiting for the mechanic and Michael. The customer service is crap and certainly not helpful or polite. I wasn't not made to feel important here at all. After this service and car I definitely will be trading this car in and never again will it be for a Ford. read more

By far the worst new car buying experience I have ever had. First I was given a sales guy that was brand new on the job and couldn't tell the difference between an XL vs. XLT. I went there look for only an XLT but ended up with an XL and didn't realize it until all the paperwork was done. On the keys it said XLT on the tag. So I felt mislead when I finally got home and read that it was an XL. Horrible service. Guy didn't want to answer any questions. The finance department was worse. Added many features I did not ask for (coupon book($399, extended warranty $5K, etc.) and would not let me see the break down without signing everything first. After all was said and done they ended up adding close to 10 k in undisclosed additional fees/products. He would not provide and kind of receipt for what was going to be refunded or explain anything. He said he would refund the extended warranties and GAP but here we are 1 month later and nothing has been refunded. I have been calling trying to get this resolved but I would never recommend this dealership to anyone! Worst experience in my life, and I buy new cars every 2 years so I have dealt with many different dealerships. I have waited a month for anything to get resolved so hopefully I could write better reviews but since nothing has been addressed I will now have to post a less than positive experience on my review sites. I am new to the area and I went to Big Star Ford late in the evening because of a oil leak and a issue with my radio in on my 1 owner 2009 Harley Davison edition F-450 super duty Dully. Service advisor Ian S. greeted me with a smile and told me that we will take great care of my truck, and set me up with a rental. My old girl was in the shop for 3 weeks because of the parts that were needed. But when I got the keys back and we started rolling down the road. I don't know who was smiling the most me or my old girl!! I cannot thank Ian enough for getting my old girl in the shop and taking care if so quickly! This is the kind of service that is expected when you go to the dealership and I will only recommend Big Star Ford to all my friends that need there car or truck serviced.
