My boyfriend bought a super red betta and some galaxy rasboras. The betta was sold to us at a low price because I think he had a bit of a deformity. He is doing well in his new tank and eating healthy. The galaxy rasboras were okay, but they did seem to have flukes so we had to treat them for that. One ended up dying to a deformity unfortunately. Apart from that, they are fairly healthy and eating well. The fish seem to be generally well taken care of. The tanks are sparsely planted. There is a good selection of shrimp, including green, black and velvet shrimp which is something you don't often see. Overall, it's a nice cozy shop and the owner was very kind. He was helpful and gave up tips on how to acclimate the fish. The prices are also great compared to other stores. I recommend it.

And the store wasn't busy on this particular Saturday morning, two customers at cash and one roaming around in the store. I usually drop in on Saturdays after my workout since I'm in Liberty Village, but I definitely prefer going to my local pet store in my neighbourhood because they always welcome me in the store even after it's been a long time since my last visit. Why can't staff just smile or say hello upon customers entering? The checkout is right at the entrance so it's definitely easy to do, isn't it?
