I am editing my review based on a message from the owner. Originally my review included some background information on my history with this business and while I don't think I got anything wrong, I will remove that since it was so long ago and really doesn't matter to the issue here. It was inserted to show I was a long time client. Also, I had way too much technical information on the exact problems I had, which was intended for documentation for Big Papa Joe's to investigate (sadly they are in denial). Basically, my septic system stopped working because someone cut the black wire (power) to my pump. I don't know who did this, but it certainly wasn't me. My issue is that I expected Big Papa Joe's to troubleshoot the problem and find the issue rather than "let's replace everything". I figured this problem would be resolved by their management by talking to my tech to find out why he didn't do a better job investigating the problem and then notifying me they followed up. Instead, I get a message saying I got this and that wrong with the history and that I am trying to hurt their business by spreading a bunch of lies . It was a total denial from the owner who basically called me a liar and I should have contacted them first. I am a bit confused as to who wrote it since it is from Christine, but a man's picture is shown. I'll assume it is a man name Christine. Anyway, he/she has never been on my property and has no direct knowledge of my septic system. He has no idea what his techs have done, but he is sure that I am making this all up. I DID call them and asked them why they turned me into SJRA, and I guess to appease me, they offered a partial refund on my contract. I appreciate that, but because of their message, I am keeping the original ranking. Also, I didn't write this in a spur of the moment; I waited a month before submitting it to make sure I was conveying everything right. While I have no desire to hurt this business, I felt an obligation to document my experience so others won't go through it. (history of experience deleted, minimizing description of the issue:) After the notice from SJRA to get this resolved, I consulted companies for a second opinion. I couldn't find anyone right away wanting to diagnose the problem, so I worked on resolving it myself until I found someone. I ordered the pump and floats as recommended. Since the tank was full, I pumped out the tank, and replaced the pump and floats. While hooking it back up, I noticed that someone had cut the hot wire to the first float which lead to the pump. It was just loose and dangling with no connection back to the control panel. I eventually found the wire was cut right at the PVC pipe output (I had a septic professional by then to come out and he confirmed the wire was CUT) - it didn't just wear down. After fixing that, I found that the filter overflow tube had been cut from the filter housing and was flowing on the ground whenever the pump was engaged. I had to dig that up, cut and re-insert the tube in the filter housing. After all of these repairs, my system is now working as it was before. I have deleted my editorial on this company because I don't know who did this damage to my septic system, but I have a pretty good idea. read more

We needed a few repairs and setup of a maintenance contract and everything was taken care of within the appointment. Tried to get this company to come out and do a inspection on my system and they never showed up. Scheduled a day and time after they canceled the previous day because they were caught in traffic. Called , emailed and text the owner several times and no response. I don't understand why people don't want to work. Very disappointed. Possibly they do a better job at putting in septic systems but I have no experience with them on that. After recent contact. I found out there was a death in the family.
