Then the switch failed completely - the dash indicators showed that it was powered on, but the scooter wouldn't move. I had to push the thing up a ramp for about 50 feet - this was a challenge at I'm disabled hence why I needed that scooter in the first place. NEVER AGAIN will I rent from this company.

The battery meter has 2 red lines, 3 orange lines, and 5 green lines. During the seven days we were there, I never used more than two green lines. Six nights I only used 1 green line. I am extremely impressed with the Victory 10 3-wheel mobility scooter I got from GMS. Other places may not do as good of maintenance to make sure their battery cells hold capacity. I'm confident GMS tests those regularly. The drop off and pick up service was easy, the person was very nice. I cannot speak on price because my wife is the one that rented the scooter. But you can be confident that the battery will hold if you get it from GMS. We will use them again.

I booked the portable Resort Lite ECV scooter online for my mother after reading all ECV descriptions. I called to add a shade to our reservation. The rep asked me a few questions about our expected usage. I reserved the portable scooter for the included 2 batteries figuring double the battery life would get us thru the day. The rep/manager (sorry I forgot your name) explained that the 2 batteries equal the total charge of 20 mile range not a total 40 mile range. Since we were staying on Disney property, she explained that we didn't need the portability & would be better off renting the Resort ECV & turn off the scooter whenever we weren't moving. Turning it off & on worked like a dream. The battery lasted all day & never went into the red/low battery zone. We had a hiccup when we arrived at our Disney Resort Hotel. The scooter wasn't there. After calling & complaining to ScooterBug, I then called to apologize as it was Disney that dropped the ball. We changed Disney Hotels & the Disney Hotel rep said they would notify ScooterBug of our new hotel location & never did. ScooterBug was able to get the scooter to us the next day & I even got a text notifying me of its arrival. Our hotel's Bell Services showed us how to use the scooter. Mom adapted quickly & easily to using it. I even rode it a few times as she had trouble navigating the theme park turns in the line queues. I found the queues easy to navigate. The scooter can make the tightest of turns! We used the basket on the front to hold our water bottles & bags. Our bottles & bags made it easy to find our scooter amongst the sea of scooters in Disney World. We used the scooter in Magic Kingdom, Epcot & Hollywood Studios. The scooter gave us a magical experience at all 3 parks. If you ever need a Scooter/ECV while in the Orlando area, ScooterBug is the one to rent from!

I rented a scooter from Thu 11/14/2024 - Mon 11/18/2024 for my trip to WDW. It was the worst experience I have received from Big Orange Mobility or any other scooter service. The scooter shut off while going up the ramp in Space Mountain. If you know the ramps at Space Mountain, you can understand how difficult it was for my daughter, who has arthritis in her hands, to push this machine up the ramp. After the ride I called the Big Orange Mobility. I was told by Nathalie Durand, that the scooter was a new scooter and that when going up a hill, it sometimes will shut down. Really, a "new scooter" that will shut down going up a ramp!! I was insulted that she would believe I was uneducated enough to swallow this bogus excuse. I was then told to push a button located on the battery to restart it. We had to do that in excess of five times while leaving this ride to get it to maneuver up the ramps. It's very inconvenient. It stopped abruptly, causing everyone behind me to run into each other. The battery drained so much after a full charge. I called around 4pm that same day and was told there was not another scooter available. I was met with the confused Nathalie, who stated it was a new scooter, and she could not understand why this was happening. The scooter mimicked the same problem the following day when going up the ramp for the Flight of Passage ride. Thankfully it was a short trip. I knew I would NEVER use Big Orange Mobility again. I don't know if they are under new management, but I have never spoken with Nathalie in my previous rentals. The previous individuals would have handled the situation quickly and would not have insulted my intelligence with such nonsense excuses. Admit your product is defective, take ownership, and make it right!! Big Orange Mobility failed to do this. I took pictures and a video of the scooter. It was scratched and used, and it was unreal. I was worried when I stopped in to Florida Mobility, a mom and pop looking shop. Loads of merchandise CRAMED into a small strip mall shop. But I felt instantly comfortable talking about my unique needs. Maybe it was his limp, understanding why I wanted a 3 wheel, not a 4. We sat and talked about my ideas of transporting it and he told me his experiences and set me straight. I said I liked the Buzzaround best, but liked the larger seat on the huge model. Next thing I know, he said I can pay an upgrade fee and take it with the extra big seat....I now had a perfect scooter, one that doesn't exist in any catalogs. He then made me take it apart and put it together, so he was happy with my knowledge of it. OK, it's a little mom and pop store, but I was treated as a friend. I recommend them 100%. The 2 lousy reviews are why I wrote this. This store deserves a try, it's NOT a huge chain, it's just a couple of caring people, solving mobility problems for regular folks!!
