When I go into a big box store like Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc., etc., I am always concerned if that battery that shows 100% charged is going to die within five minutes. Stores do a poor job of making sure their battery cells are still good. I just got back from Disney World. My wife rented me a Victory 10 3 wheel scooter from GMS. The battery meter has 2 red lines, 3 orange lines, and 5 green lines. During the seven days we were there, I never used more than two green lines. Six nights I only used 1 green line. I am extremely impressed with the Victory 10 3-wheel mobility scooter I got from GMS. Other places may not do as good of maintenance to make sure their battery cells hold capacity. I'm confident GMS tests those regularly. The drop off and pick up service was easy, the person was very nice. I cannot speak on price because my wife is the one that rented the scooter. But you can be confident that the battery will hold if you get it from GMS. We will use them again. read more

On September 3rd, scooters were delivered to our hotel at Disney World. We had ordered 2 of the 3 wheeled scooters, because that is what we are the most comfortable with. When the scooters were delivered, they were the 4 wheel version. We let the driver know this isn't what we booked but he said he couldn't do anything and to call or email the main office. We emailed the office to let them know of the mistake and also to let them know we could meet them anywhere at any time in order to get the correct scooter as our plans are always very fluid. We were informed that they were overbooked on the 3 wheel version. We were also informed that this was considered very high season so they were able to substitute other scooters without prior notification or agreement. Even though Disney and the other theme parks consider this very slow season, we were informed it was actually very high season for scooter rentals. I checked the Gold Mobility website and couldn't find, anywhere, where it stated September as very high season or the ability to just change an order without contact. We asked for the scooters to be swapped out as soon as possible as they are difficult for me to manage on the buses and monorails and were told they would do what they could. Each day we texted to see if they had scooters for us. The reply was no. After the 3rd day, we stopped getting responses. We were ghosted. We have been renting scooters from Gold Mobility for at least 10 years now. Every year we take 1 or 2 trips to Disney as we are DVC members. We usually stay for 8 nights. We have always booked with Gold Mobility because of the great customer service. This trip, however, there was not only bad customer service, there was NO customer service after the 3rd day. Utterly unprofessional. Changed my pickup time AND location, and after I called in and they confirmed they'd changed it back, they changed it again without discussing with me. Now I am in danger of missing my flight, and they take zero responsibility. Update to their response: They are posting false statements about what happened. There were zero attempts to reach my mother after the initial drop off day. The first communication came to confirm the pick up of the scooter, which was never dropped off because of my mother being transported by ambulance to the hospital at that time and was confirmed by the resort and texts from the driver. This is obviously the reason they were not contacted right away. They only offered a refund AFTER my negative review. The initial response was an automatic no refund. So in trying to keep only good reviews they violated Google's Fake Engagement policy by offering us something to take the negative review down. I've reported that to Google with proof. The other negative reviews about this situation were removed by my family members themselves, not Google, as they initially posted because of the level of harassment they bestowed upon my mother. She chose this company based off of their Google reviews, which I now know why there are no negative reviews. Because they harass customers who leave negative reviews with threats of legal action until they are removed. At this point, we don't care about the refund. The review is about how we've been treated. Update 5/9/25: Since the initial review, the company has reached out multiple times with offers to help resolve this issue. First, they did apologize for the rudeness that was encountered initially. Which we did appreciate. We were told to talk to Disney and get refunded from them for the rental. However, we did not use Disney for the reservation and so there was nothing they could do. Gold Mobility did offer a 20% refund, only if this review was taken down. When it wasn't, and other family members added poor reviews, they continued to call my mother numerous times. They did offer a 50% refund if all negative reviews were deleted. The other reviews were deleted, since this review already covers this issue and the manager threatened to sue us for defamation. This is now the only review on Google for this issue. We have screenshots of texts from the manager and their lawyer with threats to sue and stated that we were blackmailing them after one of my family members asked for 80% refund due to this unfortunate unforeseen accident that has kept my mother in the hospital for a week. So we've accepted that my mother won't get a refund, we've deleted the extra negative reviews, but this one will stay. The experience we've had with them has been so disappointing and frustrating. They've stated they will report this review, but all information has been truthful. We understand that they are a business, but treating human beings this way and having zero compassion or empathy for customers is why I suggest you not use their services. I generally reserve my scooter with Gold once I have my flight details set. Usually, this is months before (or if a nice discount pops up) At the end of August 2025 I was updating all my reservations on my spreadsheet. After many attempts at locating the Gold scooter reservation, I couldn't find it anywhere. I didn't have the reservation # recorded anywhere but I was really sure I had made this reservation. I sent an email (2nd week of August) explaining I couldn't find my reservation (there was no way to look it up at their website.) I checked credit card statements but I wasn't sure when I'd made it. After 5 days of no response, I reached out again forwarding the same email along with a note that I'd like to hear from them either way. Another bunch of days passed, still no response. So I tried to call. Several attempts kept me either on hold or no answer. To say the least, I was extremely surprised because over the past many times over many years that I've rented from gold and had to contact them - I heard back within 24 hours or LESS. So after 2 weeks of waiting for any response I made another reservation and again emailed them asking them to verify that I have 1 reservation only. This time I got an email back the following day confirming the 1 reservation I had just made. Come late August, both my flight time to MCO changed and my Mears pick up time back to MCO interfered with the time I had chosen for scooter pick up. Once again I emailed requesting the drop-off & pickup time changes. No response. Tried calling. No results. I had preferred an earlier drop off and needed to change the pick up from 6pm to 4pm. This time I follow up'd daily. No response. Again, very surprising to me. The day prior to my arrival I got the request for confirmation text and responded with all of these necessary changes again explaing that I've made MANY requests and still haven't had any success in hearing back from them - along with how surprised and disappointed I was. No response. Upon arrival I sent another text AND email but the time hadn't changed to earlier AND THEY DELIVERED 2 SCOOTERS to the 1 me who actually has my own scooter. Explained all this to the delivery person who was very understanding and explained he's been working for less than 2 months for Gold and mostly everyone he knows is relatively new. Both scooters had bald tires and one was more cosmetically scratched up. He took back Scooter #2 and promised to explain the requests to the "main office" and let them know I wanted a refund. That evening, I sent yet another email both requesting confirmation of a refund and the 2 hour earlier time change for 10 days later pick up. No response. I made a few follow up requests but didn't hear back. Day before pick up I got 2 confirmation requests for the scooter I had and the other that I returned with 6pm pick up! I responded yet again about the request for time changes and again explained that 1 scooter was returned after their failure to confirm that reservation, blah blah blah. Many texts later they responded asking if they could change the pick up to the following day (the day AFTER I was leaving) and by this time I was frustrated, annoyed, completely disappointed, etc. Next proposal on their part was pick up the scooter much much earlier on the day I was leaving (like 2pm instead of 4) and I replied with a text describing how completely shocked I was at a company that claim (and used to have) great customer relations. As I mentioned, I've rented from them for a long time and have always explained why I recommend them based on how great their response was as well as top of the line machines. In one of their final texts they stated that all times are subject to a 1 hour grace period and that is why my time was changed by them. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. FOR WEEKS I REQUESTED A CHANGE BASED ON MY TRAVEL TIME CONFLICTS. They both neglected to respond and/or make the change. About 10 minutes after this text, they sent another saying that another customer graciously agreed to change their time and they would be able to pick the scooter up at 4pm. The next day at 4pm I explained ALL of this to the pick up guy. He took notes and said that in all liklihood none of the owners or those in change had any idea about any of this and that he would not only make sure that I got refunded for the 2nd scooter, but that it would be noted how much of my communication was simply ignored. The following day I got an email confirming the refund. I'm hoping this was an isolated occurence, but at the same time I think it's fair to share this experience. I do plan on using Gold going forward to at least give them another chance especially because of how great they WERE. read more

The scooters were very nice! We rented them for a day at Disneyland and they were, by far, the nicest scooters in the park. Super comfortable and easy to use. It had a phone holder and I wasn't sure if my phone would stay on the holder with Disneyland's cobblestone walkways, but it did! Really secure. I usually rent from them, however, In January of 2025, I got a text the night before I was set to fly into Orlando with a late afternoon drop off of my scooter at the Disney Resort instead of my 2 pm reservation which I had in place for months. I told the company that time was too late and they offered an earlier time that would not work with my flight arrival and shuttle time to the hotel. They then suggested 7 pm at night which was useless for I'd lose a day and I then asked about a one day refund since they could not deliver it and they said no. I decided to cancel some of my vacation plans and get the scooter. I waited in the lobby and the drop off person never called me to let me know he was there. A text from an unknown name was sent to my phone indicating he was dropping off the scooter - not a text that stated Gild Mobility - and that if I was not outside at the exact time for drop off he was leaving. Fortunately, o opened the text from this unknown person and went outside the lobby. The truck was several car lengths away with no signage that said Gold Mobility. I have used this company 5-6 times a year and have now decided to just rent directly from Disney's official scooter company on site called Scooter Bug so that I never have to go through this again. Disney's scooters are right at bell services and you do not have to wait for someone else to drop it off and go through the nightmare I did. read more

Extremely disappointing service. I have rented many times in the past from Gold Mobility with no problems. My scooter just stopped running at the Disney resort so I call the customer support/trouble number. No response and no one answering the phone. This was during their customer support hours and after I left multiple messages still no response from them. Left stranded for the rest of the evening. Never returned my call. I started calling when their customer service hours started at 7:00 a.m. the next morning, still no response. Caused us to miss one full evening in the park and all the early activities the next morning. Finally got a response after 2 1/2 hours of calls the second day and a replacement scooter mid morning. I needed a wheelchair for one day. Their terms and conditions clearly state 1. The rental is $99 for 1-7 days with no daily rate. 2. You choose a time (+/- 15 mins for traffic or weather) for pick up and delivery AND they will contact you 24-48 before that and time is just a request and may have to be adjusted up to an hour after selected time due to scheduling. Both the customer and the company have a responsibility here. I got the delivery fine. I asked the guy if we meet at this same spot for pick up and he said "yes, and I will text you." This was our last day at the resort and I had a pick up time at 11am. I was prepared to wait until 11:15. I got there early and texted and got no response. At 11:15 I called and the very kind office woman found out that they never texted me to confirm and set a new time of 11:30. It was unclear why but she set a new time when I had 11 am set but she said it can be up to an hour time difference depending on their schedule. This time change was supposed to be determined when they called to confirm pick up the day before, not the day of. It didn't seem right. We had plans to enjoy the resort until we had to leave for an appt after checking out and this was a big delay. At 11:30 there was no one there. I called again at 11:45 and told them this is ridiculous and I need to go. My plans for the morning were all messed up and I sat and watched others enjoy the resort while I waited for the pick up. I texted the office again and told them why I was upset and wanted some sort of refund. I also told them I leave lots of reviews and I will advise others not to use them. The guy did arrive around 11:47 and I asked when this pick up was scheduled and he said it was just scheduled awhile ago. It wasn't even on his schedule! I texted the office again and then Steven called. He said they had a glitch in the computer system for the drivers and my pick up never updated in their system so it wasn't on the schedule and "that's on us". I asked for a refund and he offered a discount on a future rental of 10 percent and then a partial refund. He wouldn't give me an exact amount but said it would be something like one day worth of the total. No number given. I figured it up to be about $25 and told him that amount wouldn't even be worth my time so do what he will but I was not happy. That won't begin to compensate for their error which cost me a lot of time on my last day at the resort. We hung up and the office texted that I refused his offer of a refund (I DID NOT) and said the terms and conditions state I would have to wait up to an hour for pick up! I told him the terms and conditions required them to hold my reservation and this had nothing to do with terms and conditions bc they lost my pick up reservation. After the phone call I got more texts and I asked for $75 back and they keep the $25 because of their error and my lost time and they kept saying terms and conditions and I had it for the entire time, blah, blah then threatened me with no refund at all if I leave a review about this and that they will basically report me to google. I don't think it's even legal to do this? Certainly unethical. They kept quoting terms and conditions and yet they didn't even abide by their own terms of calling to confirm a pick up and their error dropped me off the schedule. I won't use them again and I see now why they are accused of getting all bad review taken down. read more

Our experience was at Thanksgiving of 2020, but a friend just asked who we used for our great experience and I told him about Gold Mobility Scooters. In doing so, I realized I forgot to share my review for them so here goes... We researched a bunch of places and the reviews for GMS is what made us go with them. It doesn't matter if you use a scooter company that's partnered with Disney because GMS brought ours straight to the hotel. We let them know when we were arriving and they met us in the lobby at check in (Coronado Springs). We got the rundown on the scooter and they threw in an extra accessory because there was confusion about which one we wanted. While the scooter was for someone in our group who had recently recovered from knee surgery, it benefited all ten of us. We could use the baskets to store everything we needed for the day as well as purchases, let the kids hitch a ride when they were tired, or when I drove across the park to pickup lunch and ride back to where we were eating! You could also tell that these scooters were better than other rentals in the park. They were newer with better features and way faster. We never had to charge in the middle of the day and just hooked it up in the hotel room each evening. We did put it in the back of the van a couple times when going to Disney springs and didn't want to take the bus. I wouldn't recommend this on the regular because it was very big and super heavy. Ninety percent of the time we used shuttles so it wasn't a problem. On our final day, they met us in the lobby for pickup of the scooter and we couldn't thank them enough for the best service and amazing product. Some of the best money we spent all week. read more

I rented from this company many times. i had a small issue last year that was resolved quickly after speaking with them. Last week I rented and had a bad charger that they refused to do anything about. When I returned home I wrote a review (3 stars) stating what had happened. This is my 3rd time using a scooter from Gold Mobility as I am permanently disabled and unable to walk for anything other than a very short distance. I have been constantly impressed by their service and reasonable prices. They are very professional and timely with both their drop offs and pick ups. It was easy to use the scooter to get around the theme parks and they also maneuver well even through narrow waiting lines. They also last a long time on an overnight charge, I believe the range on mine was up to 14 miles and I never exceeded that range, even on a 10 hour day. 2nd time using GMS and still my favorite scooter rental company. I tried them out in Orlando (WDW) in April 2024 for the first time. Compared to other scooter rental companies, they have the best bang for your buck, in the best working and physical condition, and best customer service. When it came time to rent a scooter for my Disneyland trip in Anaheim (Thanksgiving week 2024), I was pleased to see they service that area too. It was a no brainer, slightly more expensive that other scooter rental companies, but worth it in the end. I received a brand-new scooter; delivery was prompt to the DL Hotel. Communication was excellent, and I had zero issues with the scooter the entire time. I did not see another scooter from this rental company (GMS) in Disneyland or California Adventure my entire 5 days stay. However, I did see a lot of other scooter people looking at my scooter vs. their rag-tag scooter wishing they would have rented from GMS. We recently went to Orlando to visit Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. When I found out that ECVs rented at Disney are $60/day, I began searching for another option. Yelp had Gold Mobility Scooters very highly rated with many positive reviews, AND a discount if booked through Yelp. My scooter was dropped off at our first hotel (Lake Buena Vista Village Resort), and was going to be picked up at Cabana Bay, where we were staying for our Universal days. During our Disney days, we decided a manual wheel chair would be a better option for Universal, since scooters aren't allowed in the queues, and I would have to transfer to one of their chairs, then to the ride, then back to a chair to get back to the scooter--too much time lost from fun! I texted Gold, and they picked up the scooter when we checked out at LBV, and dropped a chair off at Cabana Bay. One negative if you are taking a long weekend vacation: Gold only has weekly rates, to which you can add extra days. We needed 8 days, so it wasn't a problem for us. read more

Customer service was the best from the moment I had contacted them for their service. They provided me with options that would work for my mom. In addition, they also recommended what kind of vehicle we needed to rent in order to fit the scooter. We rented a scooter and it was delivered as promised at the hotel bell desk. It was clean, great shape and ready to go! We had a slight technical problem with the scooter, but it was resolved immediately by replacing the scooter the next morning before we left the hotel for our daily adventure! They were very responsive! My mom was thankful for the scooter. It worked very well for her and she was able to enjoy the Disney parks. I definitely recommend going with GMS. I made a reservation months in advance for my trip to Florida. I needed a full day to use the scooter to go to Epcot on Friday. They insisted the latest they could pick up on that day was 5pm. We had dinner reservations at 6pm and the park is open until 9pm. I requested a pick up the next morning before going to the airport and was told they were booked that day. Even though I booked months in advance and was a repeat customer I was not included in this booked day. They picked up my scooter early Friday morning before I left for the park. My grandson used a wheel chair to escort me to the park and had to pay $85.00 for an ECV rental for the day. He then used a wheel chair to escort me back to the bus at the end of the day. Very upset, will use a diffent company in the future. Also no refund for the day not able to use the rental. read more

I had another scooter company cancel as I boarded my plane so I booked last minute with Gold Mobility Scooters. The nightmare has only continued. I agreed to a drop off time when I booked the scooter and they changed it when they sent the confirmation text to drop it off. They changed it to a time I was still flying to MCO, so I had to call my Disney resort and have an exception made for bell services to hold it which isn't normally allowed. I called and asked about a 6am pick up as well because my flight leaves MCO early. Now they sent a confirmation text with a time that is an hour later than I had discussed with them because of this I'm potentially going to miss my plane tomorrow because they magically can't accommodate the time I had originally requested. No one answers their phone calls either I've tried calling numerous times. While the scooter works fine and is nice the customer service here is a joke and definitely an avoid if you want a seamless experience. Rented online for a scooter and a stroller for our families week at Disney. When we got to our resort, delivery was on time and quick. The owner was very thorough and kind. After leaving we realized the sunshade we requested was not there but Gold Mobility quickly returned to set it up and were still kind and helpful! On our second day, the scooter battery was losing power quickly but with one phone call, they met us out front the theme park with a replacement and genuine helpfulness. We were quickly on our way! The whole week was so smooth with our stroller and scooter! Our family had a blast and on pick up day they were still on time and friendly! Look no further! Look at all the 5 stars - there's a reason for that. However, please research your scooter's battery life. Our go go was only supposed to last 4 to 6 hours (I think that's conservative when they say that though -probably lasts up to 8 hours?? Depends on how fast you go and how heavy you are - my dad is about 175lbs.) Luckily, that wasn't an issue since we had to take the kids back for a nap and were able to recharge (2 hours for a full charge), but you might want to know that, because I'm thinking the slightly more expensive ones have larger batteries?? Although the larger scooters might be heavier and less efficient?? Best to call them is my tip #1. I loved that they dropped off and picked up at the Beach club lobby and were perfectly on time (precise - no time window). Inexpensive and flat fee for multiple days compared to the competition that charges double or triple (especially if you need one more than 2 days). Great people work there, and we were able to text each other for pick up drop off times. Very smooth experience. Also, my Dad loved his first time on a scooter - pretty easy to use, and there's a knob that you can dial up or down to control your speed. Another tip for newbies - dial it slow around people or turnstiles (2mph) or dial it fast (faster than I could walk). By the way, there are no brakes - letting off of the throttle automatically brakes for you. Pretty simple - two hand throttles, right hand to go forward and left hand to go backwards. Last tip... They give you a free option for rear basket, phone holder, etc. We chose the back basket, but it only fit in the elevators at the Beach club with an inch to spare (so I drove it into and out of the elevators for my Dad); I would not choose the rear basket again, especially since the front basket was good enough. But if you need the rear, rest assured, it does fit in at least the Beach club elevators, and we had absolutely no problems in the parks. This was my first time using them but it won't be my last time. They have super friendly staff the listen and truly make your visit to Disney magical and care free. Their pricing is great and it comes with the coverage that's amazing. I lost my key for my ECV they had another one waiting for me in minutes... now that is what I call great service! My mother loved the ECV rental making her so happy to see Disney. She loves the lights on the ECV for those dark cue turns! We will use you guys again on our next visit!!!! read more
