I've taken six vehicles to Certified for repairs over the last 10 years since moving to Oldham County. Since Steve sold the business a year or more ago, I was a little apprehensive to say the least because the service had been exceptional. Steve assured me I would get the same service from Nate, the new owner. There's been a huge turnover in the last year due to retirements, health issues etc. However, I still take my vehicles there because the service hasn't changed. Just as promised. The main replacement personnel are just as good or better. Honestly, integrity found there. They warrant their work! The two negative 1 Star reviews should be ignored. There must have been some miscommunication going on there in both those cases.

He asked if I wanted him to fix it after showing me how simple of a fix it was (99 cavalier 2.2 non eco-tec engine, plugs and wires are right on the front. Super easy DIY change) I said nah, I'll do it but offered to pay him for pointing me in the right direction. He refused to accept payment just because he looked at it for a couple minutes and told me what to do. That's true class right there. I wish more businesses had that level of ethnic principle about them. I reached out to them today (12/12/2022) about an issue with a different car, but they told me they are no longer in the mechanic business and only do towing. Sad times for an upstanding level of service. If they ever check out these reviews, I just want to say a thank you from myself (and others who might not have told them) about how awesome their mechanic service was.

But his actions that day, not to impress anyone, just business as usual -- that stuck with me. I've always considered his work exemplary and his prices outstanding. When he tells me the cost of something, I believe him. But the truck that first time just kept on running, and kept on. So... as my own tractor saga went, desperate to get it up and running while failing on all fronts, I gave him a call just in case. I'm used to places where they have a shack, a turnstile and you give some guy a couple bucks to go in. ISA has a large, spacious, air conditioned structure with a professional staff that is ready to point you in the direction of the vehicle you need. Speaking of which, finding the vehicles you're looking for couldn't be easier! There is signage! Honest-to-god signage that says things like "Ford Trucks" rather than "Domestic Truck / Van / Car." The yard is tidy, with nicely raised vehicles and without the flotsam and jetsam of discarded parts that normally litters the ground. Also, free of charge, they make wheel barrows available for you. How awesome is that?! Anyone who's lugged their toolbox around and then tried to figure out how they're going to get the parts they need up to the counter can agree that this idea works. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. The prices are good (for salvage parts, anyway) and the availability of vehicles is pretty decent. I was not expecting such a good experience, but I'm very happy to know that ISA is around!
