I took my truck a few months ago to Kaiser tire pros for an a/c leak behind the dash. They were recommended by a mechanic friend of mine (he doesn't do that much a/c work). They told me it would require pulling the dash and replacing the lines. The compressor was not functioning properly either. So i asked them to replace it. They had the truck a few days which was not a big deal to me if the work was done correctly. When I got the truck back I was in absolute shock on how it was returned to me. There was a glob of grease on the passenger seat. Greasy rags in the floor board. The center console was not bolted to the floor. The console lid had the screws from where it bolts to the floor in it. Which wouldn't allow the tray to go in properly. The tray was forced back in, so the tech had to know something wasn't right. The Rubber dash pads looked as if they were thrown around and scratched up. There was a screw loose behind the dash, that rocked with every turn. They spray painted the new condenser inside the grill after installing it and overspray is everywhere, which looks bad. And to top it off the a/c doesn't even work as well as it used to. I took it back to them (not really wanting to because they didn't put it back together right the first time was unsure if they would get it right the second time). They told me not to worry about it, they would make make it right. I asked for to speak with the owner after talking to my friend that knows him. They kinda blew that off with a "he's not here." I asked to leave him a message but I'm sure he didn't get it. They offered me a couple oil changes. I was kinda insulted and didn't take them. When I got the truck back everything seemed better, except not much you can do with overspray. They told my that the computer had to be reprogrammed that took care of the air. It was a cooler day so it seemed ok. I did look on the good old web and a lot of people had the same issue with the a/c not being as good as before when replacing the same parts so i took it as that. I took the truck home and it seemed alright. After the temp went back up outside when the a/c was needed I figure out everything was not ok. I got to looking around under the dash and figured out a couple issues causing the lack of cool air. It was running cool but the plenumn was not put back together correctly and it was causing air to escape not going to the vents which made the air seem weak. I also recently discovered some more screws missing out of the dash panels. I bought the truck new so I know they should have been there. Plus there are marks where they were origanally put in. I DO NOT recommend Kaiser Tire Pros for a/c work. Maybe they should stick with Tires. I would have loved for the owner to reach out to me or been given a discount or something but it's one of those things I have to live with. I will pass on the word about the bad work being performed. read more
