Let me tell you about a very disappointing experience I have had over the past several months with repairs to my car done at the Preston Highway TireDiscounters location. It started on August 2, 2025 with the purchase of four new Cooper Endeavor Tires with the 36 month warranty and lifetime repair. I was also told I needed new brakes and rotors. Out the door for only $2455.98. Several months go by and on May 19, 2026 I return for a rotation, balance, and alignment. Well this time I apparently need shocks, struts and control arms. $1630.58 more and they couldn't do the alignment part because something was "locked up".Not a week later on May 25, I was driving in the rain and the cars steering was loose and erratic and I sideswiped a curb which blew out the 2 drivers side tires. I took it the next day and had two new tires put on, but inexplicably, they put them on the same side if the car instead of on the same axle. The next time it rained the steering was completely compromised and I had to pull off the road. So I took it back in and was told I needed shocks and struts (again), a new CV boot and axle shaft, a rack and pinion assembly, and $4124.25. And by the way, those tires you bought a year ago that are worn down to the wire mesh aren't covered under warranty because the suspension was causing them to wear irregularly and you don't have the road hazard warranty, which it turns out, I did. So my questions are as follows: 1. How did they not notice the wear on the front tires when they did the rotation, or when they did the control arms, shocks and struts and let me know at that time? Had I known that the 1600 I put into that repair was going to be pointless as the front suspension also had severe issues, I WOULD HAVE MADE THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE DECISION. 2. What kind of tire professionals put two new tires on the same side of the car. Even I know that new tires go on the same axle. Could this have caused/exacerbated the front suspension needing major work? Its either that, or they purposefully neglected to tell me about the existing issues going on in front. So either they messed up my car by putting the new tires on wrong, or they failed to tell me about the front tires and suspension being a severe danger. Either way a pretty sketchy way to milk another 4 grand out of me. 3. What absolute NERVE of them to not honor the warranty and have me leave the shop in a dangerous vehicle. I don't give a damn about how new tires "would just wear down in a month or so" when your warranty covers replacement or repair and they knew my tires could blow at any time. I am infuriated at the time , money, rental car fees, and the fact that EVERY TIME I LEAVE THAT SHOP MY CAR IS WORSE THAN WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN. Strangely enough, I have a documented PPI by a certified mechanic who inspected my vehicle on March 10, 2026 which indicates both sets of shocks and struts were in good condition. Bottom line, do not patronize these crooks under any circumstances. You will be sorry and broker if you do. read more

My car developed a tire noise and Chester and his crew have always took good care of it. I tend to keep my cars a long time and they are a good reason why I am able to! They checked the alignment and a few other things in the front suspension and gave it a clean bill of health. It drives so much nicer now. Thanks again and it's nice to have a "chain" outfit that puts the customer first. (Nothing against "chains" but it's hard to find one like this). read more

Very bad experience. I would give this place a 0 out of 10. The customer service was terrible and very unprofessional. They treated me as if I didn't matter and made me feel disrespected. Customers are paying for a service, and we deserve to be treated with respect, courtesy, and professionalism. No customer should ever be treated like they are worthless. They definitely need to improve the way they treat their customers. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place. read more

Just needed a tire patch and had set an appointment a week prior. waited an hour and 18 minutes for them to even get my car on the lift. Took almost 40 minutes for them to put a patch on. So two hours for removing a plug and placing a patch. I have been a customer of TD for almost 15 years and have had great experiences at other TD outlets, but this was a joke. No communication and poor scheduling. Do not tell me I am in at 4p and not get me in till 5:18p. read more

Awesome staff, the inside of the business has places for you to sit and work should you bring your computer while you wait. Plenty of places to charge your phone as well. Very convenient. Quick wait and honest staff. read more

Jamie is incredible! I left work with low tire pressure and a weird felling. Pulled over and my tire was low. Went somewhere else they didn't check the tires and only put a little air in. Left and went to tire discounters. Jamie immediately got me in. Checked every tire. Thoroughly checked one, then went and checked a second and got a bolt out of my tire. She repaired it as fast as possible. I have never been to a tire discounters but definitely recommending them! Especially jamie! read more

Since TD opened this location I have been a customer. I have used them for 100% of my car repair needs and they have been great. They have always been honest and the work has been good. Due to their honest and quality work they have grown and have s lot of business. Then then cut the weekend hours way back. They close at 4 on sat. and are closed Sunday. Now I show up to get work done and have to wait in long slow lines and then get told they can't get to my car until Monday. This is twice I have had this experience. I need to have the car during the week. They gotten to big for the staff and hours they offer. Honest and god work is useless if I can't get the work done. So a three star rating for what should be s five star place. Update: June 2020 Went To get a tire patched. I got there at 8 o'clock in the morning and was told they couldn't guarantee getting it done before the closing that day. An entire day to look at a busted tire seems a bit ridiculous, so I went somewhere else. Update: Sept. 2020 Last month, I had one of my vehicles at another location, because I was having trouble getting an appointment at tire discounters. The other place told me that my brake pads on one tire were put on backwards. So, I took it back to Tire Discounters and explained that all of the brake pads had been replaced by them. They took a look at it, and explained that the person who had done my brake pads was no longer working for them and gave me the impression that he had done some other bad work. However, they replaced both sets of front brake pads and the rotors without charge to me. I was extremely pleased with how they responded to the situation and their willingness to fix it. So, after having had some bad experiences I was ready to give them another chance. Yesterday, I called to make an appointment for a different car because the check engine light was on. The person on the phone told me that it would be a $60 charge to diagnose the problem. This was shocking to me, since I usually only expect that kind of charge we're going to a dealership. The cost of going to the dealership, it's about 50% of the reason that I don't go to the dealership very often. Anyway, I took the car up the road to Michael Tires instead where there is no such automatic charge. They fixed my issue for about $11. That let's me know they are honest and I'm more likely to trust them when they tell me I need a more expensive fix. read more

I had new tires installed and an alignment performed on my car this past Saturday (January 4th, 2020) at the Tire Discounters location on Dixie Highway in Louisville, Kentucky. I've been driving for 16 years and have never had a positive experience with tire maintenance. For years, I went to Ken Towery's because that's where my family had always gone. After constantly being talked down to, having appointment times made online not be honored, and constant barrages of up-selling; I decided that I was going to go elsewhere. I asked a friend who is a mechanic where he would suggest and he said Tire Discounters. Upon arriving, a mechanic named Jamie Howard respectfully took my information and then pulled my car into a bay for immediate service. She didn't act condescending towards me or try to pressure me into buying things that I didn't want or need. The price she charged was exactly the same as the one quoted online! Add to this that an alignment was included with the purchase of four new tires, and I'm able to say that this was the first time I've ever had a pleasant tire buying experience! Thank you so much! read more

I purchased a special offer that Tire discounters was offering that involved 3 oil changes. I'm finally on my last and final oil change and I will not be returning to Tire discounters for anything else. I purposely schedule appointments so I'm not waiting for hours each time but every time I had my oil changed I've still had to wait nearly 3 hours. The first oil change, they ran out of oil and had to have a carrier service bring them more oil. The other times they make excuses about employees calling in or just being short staffed in general. If that is the case then they need to turn away walk in customers or make sure they know that they are looking at a multiple hour wait. I'm just very disappointed in their service and am thankful that I've finally made it through my 3 oil changes so I don't have to come back anymore. read more

I'm name-dropping Russ, because he is a good dude. Hooked me up with some Bridgestone Duelers, and my truck feels like a brand new vehicle ever since. Threw in an oil change, said that I get free rotation and balance for the life of the tire, and did it all with a wink and a finger gun. For tires, I probably won't ever go anywhere else. Good dude and a good place. read more

Jamie is amazing. She is very helpful, thorough and exactly what Tire Discounters needs at all their stores. I am tempted to offer her a role with my company to run our entire service center that is how good she is. First, she cares. Second, she gives you specific details on your problem and how to solve it -- even if it doesn't involve their shop, she will tell you what needs to get done and why. Point and case, I had 3 issues. One she could not resolve (OEM wheel replacement), but she guided me with her and tech's opinion for what I needed to do. On the other 2 issues, she explained what their company had did prior and why one of the issues was unrelated. Further, she explained that I needed to evaluate another part of the car as she was worried for me. Amazing. read more

My tire light was on in my car for months and none of my tires were low. I took it to them and they got me in pretty quick. They rotated and balanced my tires and filled up my spare. That made the tire light go out finally. read more

I had a flat tire and was riding on a donut. needed it fixed so I could make it to work. the Team was very fast and gave excellent customer service. and they always give honest assessments of what your car needs and don't need. it is very nice to have somewhere to come to where you know they won't be dishonest about what's going on with your vehicle. Some places it's all about commission and how much money they can get out of you, but not this place they treat you like family and save you money as much as they can. read more

I bought 4 tires and had an oil change yesterday 6/29/20 . The place is clean and staff is professional and knowledgeable. Very busy but did a really good job . Though I didn't get the sticker for my next oil change the price is affordable. Job well done ! Highly recommended this place . read more

Great experience! We were traveling from Tulsa to Cincinnati and our brakes started grinding. They were able to get us in and back on the road much quicker than we ever expected. Very professional! read more

Very professional technicians, but they are there to make sales. I often feel that I am pressured into maintenance that I may not really need. They also never fail to suggest things like new wipers and etc. The one thing I can say is they have the most fair roadside warranty of any place and they always give a free alignment with any tire purchase. I recently had a nail in my tire that cause it to be irreparable. They replaced it on the roadside warranty and gave me a free alignment. My only complaint is that they often make appointments and have you wait an excessively long time before they start the work on your car. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect them to keep you waiting when you have an appointment. But I have never once had them fail to do quality work. And they stand behind their parts and work too. I had a bad alternator installed and within the warranty period they replaced the alternator and did not charge me for additional labor. read more

Jim at TireDiscounters took the time to locate the last 2 Goodyear Eagle GT's in the world to match the other 2 already on my 944. The tire has been discontinued but there were 2 in a Goodyear warehouse in Detroit, which they shipped to Louisville at no charge. I am a first time customer and received outstanding customer service from the time I walked in the door to the completion of the work. Truly outstanding customer service! read more

I went in for oil change and tire rotation. When I finished I left and my ABS light and anti traction lights were on. I took it back immediately and the manager hooked it up to the code reader and said I must have a bad sensor and tire rotation would cause it. He said it was a "coincidence" that it went out after they worked on it. read more

Fantastic company and great people. I had a flat tire and without an appointment or anything, I just showed up and they fixed everything and got me back on the road within an hour. This store and the people who work there are simply awesome! read more

Bait and switch. Or misinformation. Or uninformed employee. Toyota does not recommend nor does the Toyota dealership use full synthetic oil as your employee told me yesterday on my 2009 Toyota Camry. I came in for a basic oil change, tire rotation and alignment. I did not need the unnecessary and misleading up-sell on the oil change to extract an additional $20. I realize shops stay in business by performing "additional services". I selected you for the availability (appointment) and alignment need and you mislead me on the oil change. I no longer trust recommendations or my cars with Tire Discounters. read more

I went here after I went to three different places I was told they could not get me in even if I waited. But when I got to tire discounters the guy told me that he may be an hour wait because I did not have an apt which was fine. But he got me in and out in 37 mins, they was very helpful and VERY nice!! Made me feel welcomed I will be back again!! Also!! I thought it was amazing they have military discount to! My boyfriend is in the army so that was very nice!! read more

Made an appointment at 11am because the driver side back tire wouldn't hold air. Should be an easy fix, just replace the tire. 5 hours later and they're still not done. And all they said was, "we have another technician coming in". They didn't even get the car in to fix it until around 12:30 to 1. What's the point of making an appointment if y'all can't do your job. read more

Got here 2 hours before they close to get oil change. Coincidentally they just let the oil change guy go home early.....sounds like BS to me. I would give 0 stars if it allowed me to. Won't go to another Tire Discounters! read more

I have had some bad experiences, I had to ask them to put someone else on the job, they apologized and said the guy was normally not left unsupervised and only does menial tasks. However this last one ensures i won't go back! A simple valve cover gasket replacement. Well I got the car back with the engine cowling cover broken, hoses not secured as well as pulley covers and hardware dangling unsecured. Supposedly their Camry "Expert" Chad or Chaz was the one who did this piss poor job! Looking for a new garage.. not going back read more

Jim and his crew are pretty good guys to work with! I bring my vehicles to them for maintenance and so far they have been pretty good.
