Couldn't ever get a live person on the line with two places. Decided to go with Big O because of a combination of good price for tire value and the advice I got from Louis who gave me several options. The new owner of the Big O shop at Collister called me and explained their bid sheet. He wanted to clarify that his employee was giving my husband a list of possible things that might need to be done at the 100,000 mile mark of our Volvo. He acknowledged that the bid sheet did not indicate that information. He was very receptive to hearing what I had to say. He also indicated that they are going to change the way they write their bids and how they track their price per hour. He said he could understand why I quoted their shop rates the way I did. He said that their hourly rate is $110. So maybe it isn't such a rip after all. read more

This is by far the best all around mechanic shop I've ever been to! As a woman, I'm always nervous of mechanics "pulling a fast one" on me in order to simply make a dime... however this place is the opposite of that! The staff here are consistently kind and accommodating! On multiple occasions I've taken my car in for them to inspect and each time they give me honest advice and top notch service! There have even been a few times when Big O has provided a minor service and sent me away free of charge! Mind blowing for me and just speaks to how ethical and community oriented the people who work here are! Don't hesitate to try this place out if u need a new mechanic! I am extremely happy to have finally found a mechanic shop that I can TRUST. In the past, I have dreaded going to the mechanic because I always felt like they would sell me a service that I didn't need, but that doesn't happen at Big O Tires. Time and time again, they have gone above and beyond to make sure that my immediate concerns are taken care of and even additional issues, sometimes complimentary. The staff is very friendly and respectful in person and on the phone. The fact that the owner takes the time to make sure that I am happy with my service is amazing customer service. I have, also, appreciated the shuttle service that they offer. Being able to get a ride to and from work while my car is getting serviced, makes automotive work much more convenient. This place has kind of an old fashioned service. They always greet you and immediately get busy on a solution to your problem. Today the tire pressure gauge lit up on my wife's car. I pulled in, they found a nail, repaired the tire and sent me off without a charge. Love this place, thanks brian! read more

This is hands down the best tire shop in town. I have had several of my high end cars at Les Schwab, other Big O locations and Goodyear. Something always seems to go wrong. This location is professional, feasible and timely. I highly recommend talking to Anton for any of your tire needs. This guys knows his stuff in and out, you can tell that this is something he is passionate about and it's not just a job he does half ass. Terrible experience. Two issues I specifically asked to be addressed were not, (this is the second time this has happened at this Big O location), I received no communication about my vehicle during service after being told, I would be called to discuss needs. I had to sit in line for 15 minutes to pick up my vehicle. I will not return to any Big O location in the future. And so Brian, it was the valve cover gasket that caused everything, lights bells and whistles that were firing off, solenoids, the whole 9 yards because the seal was NOT installed correctly, you never even offered to recheck it because you were too arrogant and so busy trying to escape responsibility. So, my transmission is correctly serviced, it was the pressure in the poorly installed valve cover gasket that set those lights off, which started this whole mess, (by the way, the fluid was not red, it was blacker than tarmac) my valve seal cover had to be replaced again. Oh and your rhetoric, "I was asked to leave his store", what a joke, I was absolutely rude, ripped the invoice out of his hand and stormed out when I was told "they didn't want to hear it", no one had to ask me to leave, and I'll never step foot in there again. I purchased some Cooper tires for my Crosstour from them a little over a year ago. I noticed yesterday, my 65000 mile tires were shot after 8,000 miles. I stopped in, and they were extremely concerned, and told me to come back the next day. I did, and they had already contacted Cooper. They quickly got me into another set of tires. Turns out the alignment was off on my car, so Cooper offered to do nothing. However, Big O stepped up and sold me the new tires at cost, snd didn't charge me any labor. Really impressed because honestly they didn't have to do anything. So the 5 stars is definitely for the store and the company. Cooper gets no stars, and I will never buy another one of their dog shit tires, but I really do appreciate Big O helping me out. Will definitely go back to this store in the future. read more

Wow I finally found a good tire and alignment shop who do what they say they will do. We have taken 4 different cars here and they always do an awesome job. Alignments with and without cool over adjustments with alignments etc. Brian is the owner and very professional and Joel is the main guy at the front desk and is very nice and knowledgeable. Always been very happy with the service the have provided. Excellent place to take any vehicle and especially performance vehicles with upgraded suspension like coil-overs etc. I trust these guys with my most prized performance cars. read more

I agree with Brandi S. and it appears my review has been removed. These people are incompetent, arrogant, and irresponsible. I have been going there for years, there have been MANY errors, which I have tolerated in the interest of being understanding and they are close to my home. They will never see my vehicles again, have caused major damage to one of them, told me it would be "ok to drive my Tundra a short distance WITH NO TRANSMISSION FLUID IN IT". They repeatedly put aftermarket parts in my vehicles without telling me, when I have requested, told them, had issues with them, and they still did it this last time, turned a 3 hour job into a day and a half, then told me they underbid it, they actually gouged me for about $100-150 more than it should have been. Never did do the work I took it in for, had to take it back after getting me stuck in the middle of nowhere with issues. When I picked it up and told his idiot assistant Joel that I had concerns and was going to go off a bit and needed to review, he pulled down his mask, and said "I don't want to hear it we've already talked about it". So, we put what we wanted in your truck, despite vey clear, polite and specific requests and too bad if I don't like it. Then took a day and a half to make it fit when it wouldn't go properly. YOU WORK FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND, you do not do whatever the heck you feel like to someone's vehicle, especially at the expense of them to fix your screw ups. BY THE WAY we are in the middle of a pandemic, what in the world do you think you're doing having a coffee pot out available for multiple hands touching and spreading this virus. I feel I should address Brian's response to my previous poor review. It is true that Big O on Main was able to correctly diagnose the reason it was difficult to align my truck. They did recommend some parts be replaced, which I did refuse due to costs. At that point they recommended I have them redo the alignment to 95% perfect, to straighten the steering wheel, but stated my tires will forever wear a little quicker until the suggested repairs were done. I asked what it would cost to align it again, and explained the frustrating couple of days I had dealing with the State Street Big O. I was told they would call State Street and see what they can work out. I was informed that they were told State Street diagnosed the same issue, which was not true, and therefore would not pay for another alignment. When the mechanic called me back he told me I would need to pay for the work, I told him nevermind I will deal with a crocked steering wheel. He informed me that I would not have my full turning radius and it was not safe to take on my upcoming road trip. I expressed frustration at the fact I have to pay twice for the same repair, only 2 days apart due to incompetence. The machanic understood my frustration and said he would do the alignment for free because he felt it was the right thing to do. My truck was aligned correctly by Main Street and my steering wheel is straight. I am an understanding person and had Brian made any attempt to make it right I would not have written a negative review. The facts are: Unlike any mechanic I have ever encountered, when he ran into a problem he did what he thought was best without giving me the opportunity to refuse his recommendation or get a second opinion. Two, he "fixed" this issue without knowing the cause and when he suggested several possible causes, none of them were correct. He then stated it had to have been that way for years and I just didn't notice, not possible, ask anyone who knows me I notice EVERYTHING, not to mention even the least observant person would notice this major of a misalignment. Three when I requested they take another look, they put the truck up on the lift rambled thw same theories I had previously disproved then lowered it without even looking under the vehicle for more than 20 seconds tops. I was told it was another mechanics fault, that it was my fault or it was the wrong parts, none were true. I stated over and over I don't care if they made a mistake I just want it fixed and they refused to do anything. I stated if it cannot be fixed I want to know the actual reason not possible theories. I do not know if Brian ever worked out anything with State Street as far as payment, but the fact that he believes my steering wheel is still crooked and that he stated he believed no repairs were done I doubt he ever paid them for their realignment. As I stated, I am a patient and understanding person, we are all human and will eventually run into a time or two that we mess up or don't know an answer so I gave them several opportunities to make things right. Not only did they not correct the problem, they became defensive and insulting. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. My personal policy at the office I manage is when someone has a concern I listen fully without getting offended then I ask myself "if I were in their shoes, how would I feel? And what would I expect as a resolution?" Based on that I resolve the concerns as best I can, if anyone in my office treated our clients the way I was treated they would have been fired on the spot. read more

I don't write reviews very often, but I feel compelled to write a review after my most recent visit to Big O Tires. The assistant manager, Louis, is excellent. He has gone above and beyond for me multiple times. He's very clear and detailed when communicating, and always willing to answer any questions or concerns.
