Sing Like a Star - Tricia Headshot

Sing Like a Star

What makes it even more incredible is that she's coaching me at a time in my life when I am not at my best -- due to a serious illness that left me with long-term complications affecting my voice. I worked with other coaches when I was at my physical peak... and yet Tricia far surpasses them in every way. She just has that special je ne sais quoi. She's incredibly smart, intuitive, and dedicated -- and you can see all of that in her book, which is one of the most useful vocal guides I've ever read, no matter where you are in your vocal journey. Her Sing Like a Star method is scientific, empowering, and meets you exactly where you are. She helps you build from the inside out -- breath, tone, emotion, everything. I'm hitting notes I never thought I'd reach again. If you're on the fence, take the leap. Tricia is rare. She's the real deal.

For 2024, I decided to find a vocal coach to improve my singing ability for writing, recording…read moredemos, and for use on my own productions. I asked around inside my peer circle in the Grammy chapter and ironically no one could recommend a vocal coach. I was fortunate enough to find Tricia and SLaS through an internet search and was pleased that SLaS could work with me via Zoom since I'm thousands of miles away from Atlanta. It's easy to under appreciate (or not understand) how much a course and coach can help us gain control over vocal muscles, larynx position, breathing, and breath support so that we improve our craft and more fully develop our personal singing style. Just like any fine performing artist or serious athletic endeavor, improvement in ability to sing isn't magic. It requires training (WITH EXERCISES), coaching, guidance, and feedback. SLaS and Tricia does all of these things via a very well thought out course that is designed to work on the common issues male and female vocalists arrive with at their doors (or in my case Zoom camera). I've gone from being/believing I'm a baritone only singer always wishing I had a wider ranger to be more versatile to HAVING a much wider range AND at the same time a far more POWERFUL and stable singing voice. I hardly recognize my new voice!...but I am sure loving it and can't wait to see what the next months hold as Tricia continues to guide and coach me to new places. When I think of vocalists I've worked with in the studio environment, almost all of them could have used the help SLAS provides; including one who came to the studio with her personal vocal coach!! Kudos to everyone who worked to put the SLAS training together and to Tricia who is helping those willing to work and put in the time to be much better vocalists and performers then they were before signing on with SLaS.

Atlanta Piano Tuning by Ear - Ask for Manny

We had our son's and daughter-in-law's piano tuned for their 8th anniversary this month. It was a…read moregift from her deceased grandmother, who passed away in February. I made the arrangements w/ their office and paid the cost. Our kids are very, VERY happy with the service experience overall; the way this antique 3rd generation instrument sounds, feels, and performs; the professionalism and extremely detailed knowledge Manny exhibited while "on the job." My own piano, a very old upright Kohler Campbell--which ceased production of pianos in the U.S. in 1985--was last tuned 30-35 years ago. My mother studied piano on it from 1940 on, during her growing-up years. It is in tune with itself, but I'll be giving Manny's Tuning by Ear a call very soon so that it "sounds better." This piece is near and dear to my heart and deserves an excellent "tune-up." I can't think of anyone more qualified to restore this heirloom to its original quality of life!

I knew that it definitely needed to be tuned, along with the possibility of other services. While I didn't know, rest assured that Manny knows!! What an AWESOME experience! From the first phone call to Manny shaking my hand leaving, everything was so smooth. The communication was on point and all was done exactly to the initial phone call. Manny was very informative about what he was going to do. He also gave me a heads up of items that could be malfunctioning and that strings could break. I was able to watch Manny perform the double tuning. What an amazing skill set he possesses. Manny was friendly, knowledgeable, and completed all of my needs for a very fair and reasonable price. Great job!!
