Called and spoke to Ron. Told him my tale of woe about a bike we bought from a big box store. We had it delivered and paid to have it assembled. Couldn't ride it at all. We had to disassemble it and return it for a refund. No customer service at all when I spoke to Ron I said to him "I'll be back next week to check out the adult trikes". Walked in, met Ron, my wife rode it around the parking lot, loaded it into my suv, paid him and drove home Easy Peasy. My photos don't do justice to the immaculate condition of my bike after a tune up at Big Momma's. This is a bike that was used to commute ten miles a day over seven years. I now ride it weekends and evenings. The chain needed replacing and the bike was a greasy mess when I brought it in for repair and tuning up. When I picked it up it looked like a new bike fresh out of the box and rides like it to. I've had my bikes tuned up before, but never has one came back as immaculate as this. We were looking for a place to rent tandem bikes and this place was more than ideal. The renting prices were very reasonable, cheaper than others, and they rented hourly which was very convenient (unlike other places that had 24h rental periods). They also had a wide variety of other bikes you could use, however, we came for the tandem bikes so I didn't get to try the other bikes available. The service was great, the staff was very attentive and gave us many recommendations from the different bikes to the different routes. We took over the hour period and they were very understanding, no extra charge. They recommend us to bike through pelican bay and the area is beautiful, a great view with a wide bike lane which also helped us get a hang of the bike and enjoy the scenery. read more

This place was awesome. Good quality bikes, well-maintained, reasonable prices. Decent helmets and locks, too. I rented a 21 speed cruiser for a week for only $75 all in. I also wanted to try a tandem with my wife when I returned my bike and they let us go out for an hour at no charge. They've also got an awesome pile of bike junk (wheels, frames, handle bars. etc.) outside their place. They "harvest" it during the slower summer periods. Quite a site. I've gotta give Big Mommas kudos for service. I needed a tune up for my 1984 Ciocc road bike before my 100 miles of cycling on thanksgiving day and this was the only place that could get it done with a day's notice. I'll plan ahead better next time but my father in law dropped the bike off and they got it done the same day! When I actually rode my bike the next day it was smooth as silk. Shifting, breaks, gears all checked out nicely, and even the front headset didn't gum up like it did for a while! I will definitely be doing another tune up with them again. read more

We were not able to make it to our 11am reservation, I attempted to call from the time they opened up until our reservation time and their phone never rang, it went straight to voicemail. It's hard to find a place that rents decent road bikes. Big Momma's was easy to work with. Sal got back to me via email with questions. I showed up a day early because I flaked out, and he still took care of me without batting an eye. This isn't a super high end bike shop like I'm used to. So if you're looking for an Uber high end specialized or trek shop it's not your place. That's no insult. I want to set expectations at the right level. I took my Bianchi in for a tuneup on Thursday and it was done by Friday morning. The Tuneup was $70.00 which is more than reasonable. Today I rode the bike about ten miles and it's like a new bike. You have to understand that this bike is almost 20 years old. At the same time it's a Bianchi. The frame is an old steel lugged frame. It rides great and I love the old steel lugged frames. Very few people in Naples are into restored bikes. That means the local shops really have no interest in working with you. I may have found a shop that will work my on my Vitus build. We bought two awesome beach cruiser bicycles from Big Momma's a few years ago. It was a terrific buying experience and we LOVE those bikes. Recently, after a few trips in the back of an SUV and removing the handlebars (yes, we probably shouldn't have done that) we had some issues with the screw/ bolt in one bike. We couldn't get the handlebars to tighten, making it hard to ride. We were afraid to cross thread the hole and do permanent damage, so we brought the bike to Big Momma's for help. They quickly helped us with the issue--re tightening the handle bars, re threading hole, ensuring the rest of the handle bars and neck were good, and giving the bike a whole quick look over. This was all done free of charge and judgment! They refused any payment! The staff was so helpful and kind! They recommended a bike rack for the SUV and showed us a better, safer for the bike, way to fit it in the back of the car. We cannot say enough about Big Momma's! Thanks for being awesome! read more
