She brought me back to beautifully blended color and I've been hooked ever since. She did my wedding hair in 2020 (the color) and it was everything I could have wanted to make my photos spectacular. She does such a phenomenal job at blending that, even when my hair is 5 months post-appointment (I know, terrible), I STILL get compliments on the color and questions about where I go. Not only is she incredible at her job, but she is also so sweet and easy to talk to. I would (and do) recommend her to anyone! I have also worked with a couple other employees. Chloe did my updo for my wedding -it was absolutely beautiful and stayed in place all night without feeling stiff. I have also had some waxing done here and those employees were exceedingly professional while still prioritizing comfort. The salon is beautiful. The atmosphere is fun, cozy, and welcoming while still feeling high-end. The front desk staff have always been friendly and accommodating. Every time I visit, someone offers to take my coat or pour me a (complimentary!) drink. The mood among the stylists always seems fun and collaborative. Many of them are friends outside of work, and these relationships make their banter pretty entertaining. It never feels like there is any drama between co-workers, which is something that I have experienced at several other salons in the past. I booked a full highlight and haircut for noon, and on the morning of my appointment, my stylist asked if I could move to 2 PM to better accommodate her schedule. I agreed. After processing my highlights, my hair was washed and toned. My hair is very fine, but I have a lot of it, and it tangles easily. She then spent nearly an hour detangling my wet hair with an extremely fine-toothed comb, which I have never experienced a stylist using to detangle wet hair. At no point was I told I would be charged an additional fee for this or that the time spent detangling meant there would no longer be enough time to complete my haircut. After about 2.5 hours, my appointment was abruptly ended because the next client was waiting. I was sent home with my hair soaking wet and uncut and told I would have to come back another day to finish the service I had originally booked. I was then charged $225: $140 for highlights, $25 for additional product, $25 for toner, and an unexpected $35 "detangling fee" that was never discussed with me beforehand. I called the salon twice afterward because I was so frustrated with how this was handled. My stylist later explained that she couldn't finish my appointment because she had already pushed her next client back 30 minutes. I found that particularly frustrating considering I had moved my own appointment by two hours that same day specifically to accommodate her schedule. I understand that appointments can run long and additional product can cost more. What I don't find acceptable is adding an undisclosed fee and ending a booked highlight-and-cut appointment without completing the cut or even drying my hair because the next client was waiting. I was offered another appointment to come back for the haircut, but after this experience, I have no desire to return.

Being from the metro Detroit area where a haircut alone costs $50, I thought wow, what a great deal, I'll get my hair done. I have very thick and heavy hair and I asked the stylist to give me some layers and just lighten things up. We decided on some highlights. The haircut looked okay at first, I was okay with it when I left. However, my layers started to look weird. They were uneven and just didn't look right. My hair was poofy. It wasn't a good look. The highlights were barely noticeable. Not worth the $50 plus tip. Like 6 months later I decide I want my hair cut. Being as this is one of the only places in town, I decide to give them another chance and just try another stylist. The girl who cut my hair was a very nice girl. I requested the same thing and my cut this time was better than the one I got the previous time but it wasn't a 'wow' haircut. The thing that really bothers me is how unprofessional some of the other stylists were. The stylists were chatting with each other the entire time. I'm sorry but if you are cutting my hair I don't really want to hear about what movie you guys are going to see later that night. I followed all of her instructions after the appointment, including not washing my hair for at least three days. After that, I noticed that some areas of my hair did not take the curl well--some parts were curly, some wavy, and others looked straight or even a bit straw-like. I reached out to her and sent photos and videos. While parts of the perm looked nice, the results were uneven overall. I asked if I could come back to fix the areas that didn't turn out right and asked about the cost. She told me it would be the full price again--$190, which I had already paid the first time, plus I had tipped $50. I felt that paying full price again for a result that wasn't consistent the first time was too much. I wasn't trying to be rude or complain--I just wanted my hair to be even and properly done. I even offered to pay a reduced amount for a correction, but that was not accepted. Although the stylist was kind and professional in her attitude, I personally would not recommend this service based on my experience, especially considering the cost and the need to pay full price again for a redo. also I didn't have any issues paying $190 the first times not the second due to not done correctly.
