I looked in the produce department for the Aisan Pears and found 3 other kinds of pears but couldn't find the Aisan Pears. I found the produce worker and asked him if he had any Aisan Pears and he said they was all out. It really seems that this is a big problem with Fred Meyer stores. Always out of everything. And never ordering enough. That's why I personally don't shop at Fred Meyer stores because they are always out of everything and their prices are generally more expensive than Walmart and Winco are, and don't have to download any digital coupons on a membership card to get the sales price that is generally cheaper elsewhere. I will still shop instacart here because it's my job and I get paid to come here, but will never personally shop here.

I was thinking, yes, I am glad that I spent my money there than other places that I could have made the purchase. on the tenth day, I realized my rifle was ready for pick up. I'm in the Navy Reserves now. 18 years in. I called in, because I did not receive the email to pick up my rifle. The employee working said he can see that my rifle was approved. But he cannot release it to me because he is from another store. I was confused. Why would they have someone there, who cannot sale or have access to realeased approved rifles/guns. I Went to drille and was drained, but wanted to pick up my rifle, and was on my way there, but I got out late, but the store does not close for 15 minutes. When I called, the manager Tanner Tarkington said, "Don't come in!" I was surprised, and questioned him, is that how you talk to customers. He took it back, and then wanted to know if I can make it in time. I told him I can, but since he acted that way, then I won't come in. I was not abne to come in on Sunday after Navy Drill. Monday I was not able to due to my kids sports. I finally walked in today, only to find out again, they cannot release me the rifle, because no one is working that can. They said one guy got injured on an ATV, and one guy called out. I was so upset. I said, I hope the guy is ok, and gets better, but I explained, that I have not able to get my rifle the same thing. I went to the front and explained my self to the lady and the manager Tanner Tarkington. Tanner, said what do you want me to do? I said, the only I have not been able to get my rifle has been due to him and his employees, and how I frustrated to trust, that I made the "Right" decision to make the purchase there. To tell people to go there and support our local Bi-Mart. I asked him, that I'm really upset and asked if he could do anything. He had no idea written on his face. And then he said, "What, do you want a freebeee? I am not able to just give you a freebee." I was so upset, that he said that to me. I told him, that its not a freebee, its compensation for being a loyal customer and all my troubles that I have gone through. Also for a Manager to just rudely say that to me, made me so upset that I got his name and card, with the Main manager "that is unavailable for two days" Mike Colbo." This store number is #648. The lady at the front was nice, and I did tried to call Mike, but got her again. I asked her, "how would you feel if you have had a terrible experience at a store, you want to talk to a manager, and the manager tells you that, about just wanting a freebee. Instead of acknowledging my issues sincerely, instead of saying what he said?" she explain, no, I would be really upset as well. He said he would not be able to help me. And I said I wont be buying from them, and I will letting everyone Know My Experience, and how Bi-Mart does not care for their customerse maybe they save what, 10 percent off a next purchase, or hundreds of my dollars, plus my family, my friends, military members, and so on, to not go to a place, where they do not value their customers.

Normally I would've tried to find something else, but to be honest, I wasn't mad about it. Surprisingly enough, Oregon's capitol city of Salem is smaller than I'd expected before making the move. There are a couple of what used to be thriving malls that have dwindled down to host small, lesser known businesses. I grew up in the 80s when malls were the social hub and all the rage. Walking inside, I could see the adaptation to today's consumers with remnants of days gone by. Poised right by the entrance is a K-Pop store and adjacent Anime Town. The little kids play area was just as obnoxious as I remember, all screams included. Upstairs was a bungee style trampoline for bigger kids wanting a little more thrill. There was a Hot Wheels vending machine and fresh fruit dessert stand featuring the ever popular Dubai chocolate over strawberries for a mere $18 (ouch!). Perhaps it was the season, but the parking lot was packed. It was nice to see some of the favs of my youth; PacSun, Vans, and Hot Topic, and FYE. There were also some cool shops I'd never heard of. We enjoyed our lunch and had to depart with little time to spend browsing, but I really want to come back. If there was a deterrent to be mentioned, it's the 8+% tax, a significant hit when you're used to zero state tax.

I have fond childhood memories of my Auntie Alice taking my mom, sisters, and me to lunch at the former Ala Moana location. I also have fond memories of shopping at the Las Vegas location with my Auntie Lily, my mom, and my sister (the mom of my niece). So, with my niece, I feel like we've come full circle and have crossed the generations. I told her how her grandma liked certain brands like Liz Claiborne because of the quality and reasonable prices - especially in the clearance sections! And they initially said Friday, then after I ordered and paid. Changed it to Saturday. Which was frustrating as I needed it a week ago! I preferred it like on Monday or Tuesday. For reference. Then they gave me a window between 3-5 the night before.... Then they update you as they are arriving.... They started at 4 saying they would be there then. Then 4:15 then 4:30 then pretty soon it was basically 5 by the time they got there which was annoying because I have a big dog and need to make sure she isn't home as we have a small place. So it was quite frustrating. Then get here with a vet heavy language barrier so it was hard to understand them. And they refused to install it. Claiming something about liability and fire hazard. We've never had that issue before with prev installers and we were able to install it just fine with everything provided there and it's working great. But. Because it was 5 on a Saturday they wanted to get home and not finish the job they came to do. If they would have brought it Friday or earlier in the day like I wanted they wouldn't be there late on a Saturday, so that's not my fault. Needless to say. Not happy with the service. The dryer is great though! But last thing we wanted to do was install a dryer 6pm on a Saturday night as we already had to be tethered at home till they decided to saunter in.

They had good sales, especially on the weekends. Fast forward to now. Practically not shoppable now. The only thing that has not changed is getting hammered for a Kohl's card with an interest rate over 30%. Too many items that coupons won't work with. Too many brands have been discontinued. Poor selection for male shoppers, particularly. Stores are poorly staffed, checking out is a nightmare, and customer service is nonexistent. The last time we were in was on a Saturday around 11 am. There was two people working the floor. Neither said a word to us nor asked if we needed any help. No one in the jewelry department and one cashier.
