It's one of those polarizing places. Either you love it or you don't. Ollie's sells many name brand things, from Men's, Women's, and Children's clothes, to accessories, Health and Beauty aids, lawn and garden supplies, art, crafts, pet and school supplies. They have a nice book department, and sell things like Bible covers, Sudoku, crossword puzzles and word searches, as well as books for toddlers to adults. Yes, Ollie's even sells food. Megan was busy restocking when I spoke with her and she put down what she was doing and helped my mother and I for a good 20 minutes. Megan pulled out various styles and sizes and asked questions to help us find what my mother needed. My mother had a stroke several years ago so with limited mobility and eyesight, it is not easy to shop for clothes. Megan was polite, patient and proactive in anticipating what we were trying achieve and to do it in a timely manner. After selecting three very comfortable and fashionable shorts, we move on to the checkout where Natalie was super helpful in getting me signed up for a Marshall's card and swiftly through the process. When I spoke with Megan and Natalie's manager Nani, to tell her about their kind service, I could see they were led by someone who models good customer service as she was very nice as well. Marshall's has always been a favorite of my mother's due to the value and prices. Today they get excellent marks for customer service!

Also, the woman monitoring the fitting room was nearby working on some shelves but when I walked up she popped right over to get me a number so I could try on my clothes. again, she wasn't just standing around. I went there in pursuit of a new kitchen garbage can and the selection was slim, not many in stock, and not much info as to when new stock was coming in. So I ventured to Target as I've done before. I walked into a very clean, spic & span store, was politely greeted by 2 young stock/inventory men. I asked for directions as to where I could find garbage cans and they immediately directed me. When I got to the isle I had a question about the can top and then locations of bags, and again, prompt help, service! The garbage can is an 11.4 gallons priced at $12.00 dollars, and I also purchased a 110 13 gallon bags at $8.99, grand total, $22.67. And the cash out line was expeditious. I'm pleased! And when I left, I mentioned to the cash out clerk how clean the store was, and helpful the sales people were. I said this is much different than Walmart. He looked at me and said, "we try sir". Target is a well run store, 5 stars!

You will want a long time to spend in here. I probably spent 45 minutes to an hour, and I didn't see even the whole women's section, let alone the rest of the store. I came away with a Calvin Klein blouse and a work-appropriate dress, both reasonably priced. I will say that there do seem to be many clothes geared toward retirement age women (I am 40) but I'd go again to see what else I can find for the office.

Competive pricing, sales, military discounts and spectacular on3linr deals, is how they thrive. In my opinion, from my visit, the store is in the perfect mall, that still has life, and will generate revenue, as shoppers catch on. Of course, deals were found by all.
