I used to be OBSESSED with the L.L. Bean backpacks & having the initials engraved hahaha. The…read morebackpacks were great! I actually still have the backpack somewhere at home & it held up well... 14 years later. Super spacious & held all of the many textbooks I used to have to carry around as a kid, with EASE. I honestly still have so much love for the brand & wear my shearling-lined Bean boots every winter, as well as their wicked good moccasins! I believe I had gotten the bean boots as a gift ALMOST 10 years ago and never thought about replacing them because to this day, they still look brand new! Very comfortable & WARM. Anyways, I absolutely love visiting L.L Bean in Freeport, ME & btw, you have to visit all their stores in this campus. They have their Flagship store, this outlet store, & speciality stores (home, fishing, biking, & ski gear).

I love coming to the LLBean outlet stores, but don't do it often enough! The staff are incredibly…read morefriendly - we were greeted by Bruce who instantly had us smiling and was quick with a joke before sending us on our way to shop. I think we all know how pricey Bean's can be. Which is why we hit the sales when they come, every time. I saw such cute sweaters and jackets, and the keychains all the girlies were crazy for last summer. Those keychains are EXPENSIVE though - $26 for a small charm and loop of cord? Crazy if you ask me. I snagged one of the Three Potato Four keychains for $11, which I thought was reasonable. Every staff member we met was so incredibly friendly, so even if you don't buy anything, just browsing is still fun. They ask if you need help, wish you good morning, but it doesn't feel too constant which can sometimes happen elsewhere.

love this place! hit it every time I go to ME…read more have bought 150 yr old shotguns, captains kids paintings, a butter churn, you name it, its there. reminds me of the markets I hit as a kid. it is getting smaller, but the joy is still there.

I have always enjoyed a stop at this flea market whenever we are in the area on a weekend. The…read morelast two visits, last summer and this year in mid-August have been disappointing. It seems there are very few vendors any more. Most of the table spaces on our most recent Saturday visit were empty. The sellers continue to be an interesting bunch which is true of the sellers at any flea market I've ever been too. They will chat you up with stories of all kinds; they are "characters". Most of the vendors here are Mainers with a few other folks who travel from flea market to flea market around New England in the summer and warmer climes in the winter. This flea market holds a special place for me though. More than 25 years ago when I first came here with my husband (an inveterate collector and antique maven from childhood!) I found what became the first of my now overflowing collection of vintage cocktail shakers....and in fact the one I bought here is one of the most valuable in my collection. I remember I paid $22.00 for it having "talked the seller down" from $25.00 dollars. That emerald green glass shaker is now worth a couple of hundred dollars but I would never part with it. It's a beauty. At that time I was not nearly as interested in flea markets as my husband was and is. He would stop at any flea market he saw back then to my eye-rolls and groans. He would say to me: "Find something to collect and you will love them too". How right he was! It was the memory of my parents NYC cocktail parties that got me thinking of collecting the cocktail shakers and some other vintage cocktail era memorabilia. As a child peeking into the living room at one of my parent's parties, I saw glamour, sophistication and beauty....the women beautiful in their dresses and the men handsome in their suits and ties. I have photos of my parents' parties with cocktail shakers at the ready to pour martinis and I was inspired to go on the cocktail era memorabilia hunt. It's been sad to see the decline in vendors here at Montsweag...and maybe this means a decline in interest in flea markets? We will still stop here when we are in the area with high hopes there is a turn-around. If you're vintage hounds like we are, it's simply a fun way to spend a couple of hours.

How can I not when they carry products I... a) have never heard of b) have always wanted to try and had never been able to find before c) can't find anywhere else From healthy looking organic produce, to a plethora of gluten-free cereals, to the odd can of locally made beer that was sold out months ago in Portland, to frozen and refrigerated foods not carried elsewhere (like vegan salami! like vegan cheeses you've probably never heard of! like locally made - not just artisans from Cumberland County, but Androscoggin and Sagadahoc too!). Morning Glory is truly a natural foods store paradise. I drive out of my way to come here - I think it's probably the best natural foods store in Maine! - because there's so much right about this little local spot (prices, variations on themes of items, the smell [how can we bottle this up?], the candle and other home goods/gift options, the seasonal items, the staff seems more willing to help than ever before, even the space itself is welcoming despite it being overly crowded with shelves and people). I'm proud to support my local independent grocer!

I was just in today on the 17th of January 2026 and I bought 1 lb of venison deer meat for well…read moreover $10 and found out that it was expired on the 13th of January 2026 after I got home I immediately went back to the store and asked them to give me a discount or to give it to me for free because it was well past the 13th expiration date he then gave it to me and told me I could have it but when I asked for a refund of my money as well after he had given the steak to me he reached out and took it back and went to the back of the store and brought me out a frozen block of non-expired product of the same thing so he wasn't obligated by their company policies and like every other company that sells food nowadays is obligated to give it to you at a discount or free and certainly when you discover that it's several days expired past this expiration date didn't give me my money back he intentionally withheld my money and didn't even give me the expired steak which they were going to throw out I'm extremely displeased with them he argued with me for several minutes no one damn well he was in the wrong and then he also had the nerve to threaten me with the police when all I wanted was my money back and I had proof with my receipt and everything that I needed so he just bought himself an extremely bad review and they're going to be lucky if I shop there from now on and I'm going to make sure all of my friends and everybody that I know what kind of company natural food stores is and that they don't honor their policies especially when it comes to expired products mainly food he basically told me I could have it was going to give me my money back and then change his mind after he handed me the steak and I had it in my hand he took it back from me out of my hand and walked away returning with new stuff as I said just to deny me what I had every right to have so that's why I'm writing this bad review so you can expect that they will treat you the same way apparently I wouldn't expect anything less I wasn't going to expose this but I'm tired of this kind of crap going on companies not honoring their policies when they're supposed to so if I were you people I would think twice about shopping there and definitely check the expiration date every damn time because they're selling stuff on purpose 7 days old and charging people full price for it and then when people realize it they're calling them liars or that it was marked wrong well if it was marked wrong then that's their fault they have to honor it just saying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
