This location is close to my career job, so it is nice to stop in and see what they have in store. I never knew why people actually liked this store in general, because it's a little cluttered and junky to me, but you can find a deal if you take the time to search. Love their abundance of lotions, hair products and knick knacks as well as outdoor items and kitchen goods. The furniture to me is overpriced, you can get better at a better store for probably the same or similar prices? Also, PLEASE add a self checkout. Is there a reason why this is not a universal thing with (everywhere?!) Big Lots? I feel like I stepped back in a time machine up front. This location is extremely short staffed and I felt sorry for the lady at the counter. It does not seem like people are up to date and/or with the times over here. They had great prices and we ended up leaving with a table and a few other things for our home. Everyone was great to be around and they had really good deals! HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT! The store manager PATTY will treat you like your beneath her, she apparently doesn't know how to do her job or treat customers with RESPECT when trying to return an online item. I wouldn't recommend this location for anything, nor would I recommend ANY of their furniture, it's all junk (obviously the reason for the return!) What SHOULD have been a simple return that shouls have lasted maybe 3 minutes turned into 30 minutes of arguing back and forth with patty because she didn't know when to shut her trap! I stood my ground and somehow she managed to "figure out" how to do my return. When I asked for her name and HER bosses number it amazes me how her attitude changed, all of a sudden here come the apologizes and I am sorry when she finally got off her high horse. I was in here recently to checkout the clearance Halloween items, but there wasn't very much of a selection. They had a ton of general autumn stuff on clearance though, which was nice considering that when I visited we still had over 3 weeks left until Thanksgiving. I guess people just aren't that into turkey and squirrel and leaf decor. More for me. This Big Lots in particular seems to be going a little down hill in my opinion. I feel like the selection isn't as great while prices are creeping up (especially in the home goods sections like pillows and candles and furniture, although there is plenty of holiday stuff to be desired), and overall the store seems... disheveled. I know it's a discount store full of many treasures at (mostly) great prices, but compared to some other Big Lots I've visited, this one seems a little shabby. Also, the customer service on my last trip wasn't exactly helpful. Not rude, but the employees were a bit aloof. I had a couple pretty basic questions about their artificial Christmas trees that weren't answered, like, "do you have anything taller?" Stupid question because I'm sure they have everything available on display, but you never know. The employees here didn't know either. Oh well. It's not the greatest shopping experience ever but you know that going in. I still always find something that I didn't know I wanted until I saw it, like a bag of styrofoam glittering gourds! read more

Big... Big Lots location (I'm guessing it use to be a grocery store at one point). It's always fun to browse this store looking for whatever we can find (my last visit I bought a can of Treet and a bottle of un-chilled Cookies & Creme milk). Don't worry, I didn't have them together. Anyhow, beware of considering Big Lots as a "discounted" store. I have been a fan of Big Lotts for a long time. It's my "go to" when it comes to finding holiday decorations. Not sure if they have gone through management changes or just dealing with overstock problems. The last couple times I stopped in the store was a mess. The aisle were difficult to navigate do to overstock sitting in the aisle. Great prices on summer decor and holiday decor. read more

The store manager Patti was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Some form of management needs to correct her superior attitude. We had gone in for a sale that we used YESTERDAY and she told us that we were incorrect and lying. I will not come here again, and I will warn my friends not to go either. read more

The absolute worst customer service. I ordered another line for pickup and was told that I could drive up into a curbside pick up location and have my item brought out to me. The lady that I spoke with over the phone was great. Unfortunately when I got there today I spoke with Andrew & Julian who were in the front. They kept placing me in a brief hold because "they were helping other customers." That's understandable but when I looked in the window from my car there was no one really at the registers checking out. The call transferred to the manager after the 4th hold I was place on and I was on hold for a very long time after telling her that I was there for a curbside pick up. I was very polite, patient, and professional. After that I just ended up going in. How long did it take me to go in and get my order about 3 minutes. Why?.. because there were no lines and it wasn't busy in the store. Andrew was just standing at a register doing nothing and turned around and picked up my order and gave it to me. So it would have taken the same amount of time to do that and bring it to my car. I ended up calling the manager and speaking with her again after I got in the car and her explanation was " I'm sorry about that mam, I will talk to them I did keep telling them to take the order out." I don't expect anyone who works in customer service to be perfect. But don't treat me as a paying customer as an inconvenience for asking to receive services that you clearly say that you offer. If you don't want to do curbside pickup services just take it off for that store. I'd highly recommend going to the one in the Grapevine location. They have the best customer service that I've ever received from any biglots. I only went here because they had an item that I was looking for in stock. read more

Coming from WA state where theres a total of like 2 tiny Big Lots in the entire state...this place is the COSTCO of Big Lots! I love and want absolutely everything here! The store is very organized in my opinion and pretty clean. The pricing isn't the greatest considering there's a dollar store next door with pretty much the same things. However, if you're into name brands this is the place for you. I'd stay away from the food aisles though. I few times I've purchased items well within the expiration date and they were stale. EEEEEK! I HATE stale granola!! Thank you Big Lots for reminding me of all the things I forgot I absolutely must have whenever shopping here. You'd think I'm rich - NOT. read more

I used to go to this big lots with my parents when I was little and I always loved shopping around and looking at the different merchandise that they had at different times. However, after being kicked out one time with a couple of friends because we were "clearly stealing things" (which was complete bullshit), I have and will always avoid this place like the Black Plague. read more

I bought an entire apartment of furniture 7 years ago. When people found out it was from Big LOTS they were very surprised. It has lasted over the years. I bought a new sectional sofa back in February but unfortunately it had a defect in the frame. Called Clairice and Nick and they told me to bring it back and they would replace it with a new one. I truly appreciate Nick, Clairice and I believe Alonzo was the young man's name who helped me today. Very nice people. read more

Worst experience ever. I went into this store on February 23,2017 to purchase a mattress and was injured by a piece of metal sticking out of a chair. I put in an injury claim I submitted all the documents requested and have left several messages on the claims representative's voicemail and no response. Very upset that it's taking so long for such a big company to handle this. read more

Recently moving to Bedford from Galveston - we have shopped here @ the Central Dr / Harwood location numerous times for household items etc. In conjunction with small items, we have also purchased a desk and a large leather recliner. Very poor customer service. Was shopping for Christmas decor went to the Christmas aisle thiers a big sign saying ALL rustic cottage decor 20% off I enjoy the rustic look so was very interested in buying some rustic decor I had a runner and a candle holder that I loved, unfortunately when checking out the older lady that was checking us out said that it wasn't on sale I told her thier is a sign that stated ALL rustic cottage decor 20% off my husband went to the back to verify the sign and to make sure it was right. another young associate said to him oh yes it does say 20% off, she than said she would take the sign to the front, when getting to the front our check out lady said no the sign says decor candles but it's doesn't include the runner I was calm and said ok that's fine I still liked it but the candle holder should be 20% since it states candel decor, the lady was very rude and said no sorry it would have rung up if it was 20% off I said ok that's false advertising when the paper clearly stated it and if by any reason the big lots team messed up that's not my fault they should have honored the sign since they false advertised. I have worked in retail stores before and I know that the customer is always right when it comes to false advertisement, she decided to go back and forth with me instead if apologizing to my husband and I. I was told the runner was not on sale upon seeing my receipt the 20 % was applied automatically, this store clearly has no direction in what they are doing.
