It is not just a sandwich shop, it is a sanctuary of sizzle, a monument to meat, and the keeper of my very soul. They lay thinly sliced ribeye upon a screaming hot grill, right before your weeping eyes, onto a roll so soft and pillowy, it holds the heavy burden of glorious steak juices like a protective mother. Then there is the red sauce. It is not a condiment. It is an awakening. A crimson wave of sweet, tangy ecstasy that breathes life into the steak. And the peppers! Those free banana peppers are bright yellow coins of hope, cutting through the rich darkness of the onion-kissed beef. And they have supernatural speed! You order. You hand over your money. Before the register can even click shut, a piping hot, heavy brick of butcher paper is thrust into your trembling hands. How? Is it magic? Is it a glitch in the matrix? Do not question it. Just accept the miracle. My doctor tells me to eat more salads, and they HAVE THOSE TOO! I got one today, the chicken salad with jalapeno ranch. I didn't even have this dream until Big John's told me to dream it. Look, you could go to a lot of different sandwich places in Flint, but seriously do yourself a favor and go here. Choose happiness. I ordered the 6-inch steak and cheese combo with banana peppers & side of red sauce. The cashier was a bit rude but the service was fast, which I appreciated. I'm always suspicious when it's lunch and a restaurant has very little business, but this place was humming. The selections were plentiful, and the restaurant and restrooms were clean. Apparently it's owned by the guys who own Lou & Harry's, and it opened in 2021. I guess I must have passed by without noticing it. I'm glad we stopped in because the food was really good. The menu specializes in cheesesteak hoagies and burgers, so I was excited to try a cheesesteak as we don't have a ton of options for them in Grand Rapids. We got the pazzo: Shaved ribeye steak, grilled onion, banana pepper, Jalapeno pepperjack cheese, pepperoni, and ranch marinara. You can upgrade to a combo which comes with fries and a drink, which we did. We got the cajun fries, but you can get waffle fries, ranch fries, or cheese fries. Our food was ready really quickly and it was super hot and fresh. The sandwich was big enough to split for a decent sized meal. There was quite a bit of meat and all the toppings worked well together. It was definitely greasy and pretty messy, and really salty - but I liked it. It's not something I could order regularly, but it was so tasty. The fries were fresh, thin cut, and the cajun seasoning was also really salty. If you're sensitive to salt - maybe avoid this spot. The bread of the sandwich got a little soggy, but it wasn't completely falling apart, which was good. This place is open late on the weekends and would be great for intoxicated or hungover college kids. They were doing quite a few Grubhub orders while we were there - I don't think I'd recommend this as delivery food as the sandwiches probably get pretty soggy if left to sit for too long. I'd come back and try more of the sandwiches.

The lemonade was fine and the price wasn't terribly expensive. The only complaint I had was too much sauce in the Teriyaki Chicken sandwich.
