Big horn Bbq more like big huge queue! We tried to order baked potato and were told it wouldn't be ready for a 15 minutes. So we ordered a brisket sammich and waited in line for 30 MINUTES!! We got to the window and turns out it was THE SAME MAN WHO TOOK OUR ORDER OUTSIDE IN THE DRIVE THRU who was making the food! No wonder it took so long. The man then asked us if we wanted a baked potato because now they were ready. We were prepared to wait another 20 minutes for the potato. It took 26 seconds (yes I timed) so WHAT was taking so long? There were only 5 cars in front of us when we ordered. Concluding, the baked potato was pretty decent. It was actually mildly scrumptious, and I say that with consciousness to my behalf. Not sure why the same person who took the orders cooked the food; especially if Axel posted on here about their mom getting fired. That's awful to fire someone if you're low on help anyway. And took the chefs, I recommend seasoning the brisket. Usually people like seasoning, I don't know. The salt and pepper wasn't sufficient for me. I was just there for my 40th birthday this last Saturday. It was our first time at this place. The menu seems pretty standard for a bbq joint. I had the three meat and two sides, the brisket was great, the turkey was superb, and the ribs were the cherry on top. My wife had a baked potato with ham, she really enjoyed it. My son had a rodeo burger and he love it. My daughter thought her chicken tenders were okay. They have a table up with all the fixings, pickles, onions, jalapenos, etc. I had a cold shiner bock with my meal. The food was a solid 8.5/10. The staff was 10/10 very friendly people. We sat down and my son was praying for our meal, the server bringing out the cook to order part of our meal waited for my son to finish praying before she approached our table as to not interrupt. This was extremely courteous and I can tell you it is not the norm. We are fairly new to the Fe (approaching 4 years), and I think we found a go-to spot for bbq. If you haven't tried it, don't sleep on it, get on in there and get your hands dirty with some bbq sauce. read more

I go all the time and I don't I've had an issue once. Everything they have is super good. I love the size of the menu and the turkey is the best. I go in and buy pounds of meet just for the week. Awesome sides too. That corn casserole is incredible. I will continue to go back! read more

Not the best barbecue place I have been to, however it is still very good and filling! Food: I got the baked potato with brisket and it was delicious. The barbecue sauce was very good addition to this and the classic self serve side were of course a huge plus. The potato was so huge I definitely could not finish it, so I got left over which is the best. I also had the brownie for dessert which was extremely rich and good. Service and atmosphere: There is a little shop of to the side which is very Texas vibes. The workers were very kind and fast since this is a counter service place. The decor and atmosphere is exactly what you would expect from a Texas barbecue spot. I have also been to other Big Horn's that have local bands playing which is a really cool experience. My daughter got the chicken strips with macaroni and cheese. She loves the macaroni and cheese and I really like her chicken strips with the gravy. I typically will try a new burger and fries. They are good burgers but sometimes are bit dry. The fries are really good. I have also had the bbq and never have been disappointed. The dinning area is comfortable and it does not feel like you are dinning at a gas station. The employees are always super nice and we enjoy the service. Amazingly thin slices. 2 meat plate. Maybe 2 oz of meat total. I know it looks like more but it's so thin it's almost see thru. Like budding lunch meat thin. 2 luke warm sides $20. I checked out his restaurant on my recent visit to Texas. I ordered the 2 meat combo plate. The pulled pork was good but the brisket has lots of fat on its I had to cut it all off. More meat on it would've been good. The portions seemed a bit small to me. I asked for extra bbq sauce and was charged almost a dollar extra for it so I declined. they served me 1/2 brisket and 1/2 fat and when i complained the managers argued that i should order correctly because people eat all that fat i need to specify not paying for fat instead of meat. the one manager kept repeating herself instead of fixing the meal. pathetic way to sell dog scraps passed off as a meal. i recommend passing them up. read more

I want ever go back there, they charge you for extra BBQ sauce, dressing for your salad. The fly's in the Santa Fe location are real bad. However there are a very few restaurants that charging for extra's and need to go else where. There pricing is already high. read more

Been there three times -- all drive-thru orders. All three times something has been wrong with my order -- it's as if the B-team is working whenever I've gone. First time through they left out the jalepeno bread -- had to go inside and get it AND prove that my meal came with it. Second time got sweet tea instead of unsweet. Today ordered a chicken plate and a cheeseburger and the burger didn't have cheese on it; went back into the store and asked them to remake it with cheese -- all they did was slap some cheese on it and hand it back to me -- didn't even melt the cheese. Back out to the car to eat, THEN as I was about to eat my jalepeno cheese bread, I noticed mold on it. Back into the store again. Asked for a manager. handed the bread to her and explained I've been there three time and all three times something was wrong. All I got was an, "I'm sorry, sir". No offer of remaking anything, no offer of refund, no voucher. I really wanted to like this place, but they've lost a customer. read more
