The store was so busy, it was lined up down the block, but I didn't have to wait very long as the staff have a system where they come out and take care of whoever they can. They are doing a remarkable job. It was apparent that Mark was busy, in a rush, and working very hard, but he didn't rush me when it came to getting my needs met. I was very impressed with his professionalism and productivity. The company is lucky to have him and I'm sure they know that. My bike was ready for pickup earlier than expected and he called to let me know I could come pick it up if I wanted rather than just wait for me to come back the following day. The test ride was a success, the parts Mark chose for me based on our phone conversation were better than the original parts. He is very intuitive and knows how to make the customer happy. I maybe could have sourced out better prices, but then I probably wouldn't be on the road yet. The process of taking my mangled bike and getting it in better than original condition was so easy thanks to Mark. I will stay loyal to Bow Cycle and recommend them to others.

I tried to purchase a $3,000 bike from this shop and was let down by their staff and inventory…read moremanagement twice in four days. On Monday, I called to check stock. I was told they could not hold it and to buy online. It sold before I finished work. After I left feedback, their team texted me to apologize and promised they would train their staff better on holding procedure. On Wednesday night, their website showed two of these bikes back in stock. Following their previous instructions, I purchased one immediately and my card was processed. On Thursday, a manager contacted me to cancel the order, claiming someone else bought it first. When I expressed my intense frustration at being misled twice on a $3,000 purchase, the staff was dismissive. When I requested to speak to the owner, the owner called me back simply to defend his broken inventory system and shift all blame away from his business. Taking a customer's money for an item you do not have, and having two issues in a very short time frame is unacceptable. If you are looking to make a major financial investment in a bike, go to a shop that has a functional website and respects your time and interest in the "lifestyle" that is being promoted.

Andrew, the owner, took time to listen and ask questions about my ability, my preferences, and what I needed to work on. He gave me advice without trying to sell me on anything - very different than some of the other shops in town (cough, cough, Abominable). I decided on some skis and wanted to work out some boot issues I'd been having. He told me to come back the next day and Brody would help me out (because Andrew was going out of town). Brody = freaking amazing. I ended up getting new boots and he helped me figure out that I was in a boot way too big for me. I got the new boots and after a day of riding, came back to make some adjustments. He and Tristan really thought through what options I had to make the boot fit perfectly. I was so impressed with how cool Brody was with my MILLIONS of questions. You could tell that he really cared about doing things right and making sure I felt great in my boots. It was an awesome experience. They do heat molding, waxing/tuning, sell Nórdica, K2, and Technica (and a few other brands I think). Great shop with great people! We meant to stop by to say thanks again before we left but didn't have time - if you see this review, tell them Andrea from Las Vegas sent you!

The staff were friendly and eager to help. We received a helmet and a lock along with your bike, charging you 10 bucks for an hour or if, over 3.5 hours, it'll be 35 for the day. We found these to be pretty reasonable prices! The bikes were comfy and easy to use. There were also lots of trails and places to bike around town that could allow you the whole day to explore. We would definitely come back here. Maybe next time I'll try a mountain bike!

So happy and with the help of Mike advice and expertise. When buying any bike, information of the type of rider you are and what fits those specs is the most important. Sad that they will be moving as the shop was so convenient for riders along fish creek pathways.

I spent the last month researching all things mountain bikes - I bought my last bike in 2001... it's been quite the learning curve. Bikes are in limited supply in Calgary, and some shops are using the global scarcity as a way to pressure a purchase, or at the least, get a 30% deposit. I restarted my search a month ago, beginning at Pure. Great experience. I demoed a couple different bikes. Then, I demoed two more bikes at CC Bow Trail (not so positive - more interested in making a sale than helping me), and then another demo at a Bowness shop (very positive experience). Yesterday, having narrowed down my search, I went back into Pure. Coming in at 5:30pm (they close at 6pm) didn't phase them. Cole was the sales rep and treated me great, as did other guys who helped me choose some pedals. The store was closing, and here Cole is offering me a demo ride. Even though I was somewhat certain about my purchase, Cole never once rushed me or the sale. It was around 6:30pm when I paid for the bike - 30min past closing. Big thanks to the guys at CC Pure. Helpful, patient, kind... and one happy customer with a new Santa Cruz Bronson + new set of clip-in pedals. Sincere gratitude for all the help.
