Right by the door they had a bunch of runners 50% off, one just happened to be a pair that I had tried on at another store, in my size! So I grabbed those immediately. The man working came over and asked if I needed help. I told him what I was looking for and what kind of activities I needed my shoes for. He actually recommended looking into a court shoe, which they don't carry, so he suggested a couple stores to check out. I thanked him and said I was still going to try on the shoes I had picked up, since they were such a great deal! So I walked to the back and tried them on. He checked my big toe and asked how they felt. I already knew I liked them. I asked him what the difference was between those ones and the newer model. He said they only difference was that the new model was economically friendly, they would break down quicker. I asked about their running clinics. They have just started offering beginner clinics, for 8 weeks at $90. There are also marathon clinics for 18 weeks costing $160. This place carries a great variety of footwear, not just the usual brands. There is a very decent selection of clothing and running accessories. They have some exercise stuff too, including my highly recommended foam rollers for only $35! That is the cheapest I know about! When I went to pay for my shoes, I realized I had forgotten my wallet! He offered to hold them for me and even made a note that they were on sale, just in case he wasn't the one working when I came to get them. I ran and got my wallet and came back right away. Strides is a great place to go for any of your running needs! Their prices are competitive and their service excellent!

Here is what he has to say about the place: I took my AST1 with splitboard HQ last year. It was extremely well taught and Simon kept it interesting and fun. I've had parts break on my bindings and the guys there have been super prompt in helping me out as I live in Edmonton. They have kayaking activities in the summer but I don't know much about that. All in all the their customer support is a 10/10 , their knowledge on the back country, tools, tips and tricks is a 10/10. That does happen sometimes when you online shop, but like maybe reach out to your customer and let them know that? This statement is simply not true, as more boutique style stores have opened in Calgary over the last two years or so than ever before in recent memory. More to the point, Leo Boutique is great, has many brands and styles not often found in Canada such as Acne, but also featuring more common up and coming brands such as Nudie and Cheap Mondays and other great Swedish brands. Great service, the decor is also very simple but equally elegant. This is one of 17th ave's best
