I spent the better part of my trip to this mall looking for a pair of sexy boots. Unfortunately, this Aldo was no help to my quest. They had an EXTREMELY limited selection of boots in store. And just to be clear, I wasn't looking for WINTER boots, just fashion boots, so they SHOULD have had ample selection. I also didn't love the fact that I walked in, looked around, and walked out without so much as a single acknowledgement from the staff. BOOOOOOO! Overall, not a good experience. No shoes, no service, no stars.

That does happen sometimes when you online shop, but like maybe reach out to your customer and let them know that? This has happened to me using SSENSE occasionally and they always let you know directly what happened, and often times even a small discount for the error. I was a first time buyer and treated myself to a birthday gift after staring at an item I wanted for weeks, so I was pretty disappointed. Even the response to my email was cut and dry. Won't be shopping here in the future.

We tried to ask some questions regarding the skis available, what to look for, sizing, etc, as we were beginners. Staff literally told us that we should be shopping at Sport Chek instead and left us alone. I believe they took one look at my wife and I decided we were not worth their time. Funny thing is friends recommended this store as they purchased from here as beginners and had received good customer service but we were not afforded the same treatment. Avoid this entitled and snobby shop at all cost and save yourself the humiliation. Edit: We went to Sport Chek, great customer service but inventory was low. Proceeded to go to Sporting Life and we got fully kitted for our next ski trip. Too bad, this was a sure sale for SkiWest. The level of service we received were miles different between them and others.

My fiance and I are getting married in Toronto in September of this year. His groomsmen and our fathers live in the Calgary, the Caymans, Ottawa, and Toronto. Suiting all these men proved to be a very difficult task. Enter Formans. The staff at Formans are unlike any staff I have EVER met. It is a family run business, and it is clear that they are passionate and proud of what they do. Their store is absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful clothing. Their knowledge is exceptional. Their friendliness is out of this world. And *genuine*. I left their store wide-eyed and speechless. Being self-employed myself, I am often frustrated at the poor customer care received these days. The staff at Formans blew my mind. My fiance and his men look stunning. They have all said nothing but amazing things about Formans. They truly treat you like family. Unfortunately I had an accident a few weeks ago that leave me with a injuries and deformities that will still be evident on my wedding day. At hearing this from my fiance, Simone at Formans surprised me and sent me this absolutely beautiful, large floral arrangement. I called and expressed my appreciation. Actually brought tears to my eyes. This woman owes me nothing and barely knows me. What a kind soul! Men: Go to Formans. Their quality of goods, sales team, knowledge, and hearts are just plain exceptional. I will be boasting about them and sending them as much business as possible because it is 100% deserved. They never asked me to review them but I'm doing this to show them my gratitude and support. Thank you for everything, Formans!!!

Espy is mostly a women's clothing store, but if you're into denim, they have a wide selection on the men's side. I found store staff to be funky, friendly, fun, and helpful, offering as much personal space as I needed to contemplate any possible purchases. They also offer "closet intervention" services, which considering my casual (and sometimes baggy and color-bending) clothing choices, would most welcome. But only under Gayle's supervision. :)

I'm not always sure what will look good on me based on how it looks on the rack. Megan and Adam are always really helpful and I end up with stuff that I really like. This past spring I called Megan to tell her I was heading to Paris and was having trouble finding a wool pea coat. She told me that they had just been in London and she put her boyfriend in a 7diamonds coat that looked great. She showed me the pictures on the website, ordered it in and I had it in my hands 3 days later. Now that's service. Espy definitely isn't the cheapest place in town but I'd gladly spend my money on quality things that I really like vs cheaping out on just ok ish stuff that I end up not wearing. I can usually expect to go in there looking for one thing but finding others too. Today I was just going to pick up the hemmed jeans but ended up leaving with a new pair of Steve Madden shoes. The man working came over and asked if I needed help. I told him what I was looking for and what kind of activities I needed my shoes for. He actually recommended looking into a court shoe, which they don't carry, so he suggested a couple stores to check out. I thanked him and said I was still going to try on the shoes I had picked up, since they were such a great deal! So I walked to the back and tried them on. He checked my big toe and asked how they felt. I already knew I liked them. I asked him what the difference was between those ones and the newer model. He said they only difference was that the new model was economically friendly, they would break down quicker. I asked about their running clinics. They have just started offering beginner clinics, for 8 weeks at $90. There are also marathon clinics for 18 weeks costing $160. This place carries a great variety of footwear, not just the usual brands. There is a very decent selection of clothing and running accessories. They have some exercise stuff too, including my highly recommended foam rollers for only $35! That is the cheapest I know about! When I went to pay for my shoes, I realized I had forgotten my wallet!
