These guys rate top honors for fantastic selection of everything a great bike shop should have. They have top quality bikes in every price range. They ride their bikes and they know them inside and out. They let me ride 6 different bikes and ride them over and over until I could make a decision. I ended up walking out with a Pinarello Dogma and weeks later I still can't quit smiling. They are a complete bike fitting stop as well. The owner right there and hands on and his staff is top shelf. We won't ever go anywhere else for our biking needs. We live 5 hours away from them but these are the only folks that will be touching our bikes.

I'm not an expert when it comes to bikes and always found bike shops intimidating, but the team at Cranked made me feel comfortable from the first time I walked in the doors. I've been to a few shops over the years, but nothing rivals Cranked when it comes to service. I spent the last month researching all things mountain bikes - I bought my last bike in 2001... it's been quite the learning curve. Bikes are in limited supply in Calgary, and some shops are using the global scarcity as a way to pressure a purchase, or at the least, get a 30% deposit. I restarted my search a month ago, beginning at Pure. Great experience. I demoed a couple different bikes. Then, I demoed two more bikes at CC Bow Trail (not so positive - more interested in making a sale than helping me), and then another demo at a Bowness shop (very positive experience). Yesterday, having narrowed down my search, I went back into Pure. Coming in at 5:30pm (they close at 6pm) didn't phase them. Cole was the sales rep and treated me great, as did other guys who helped me choose some pedals. The store was closing, and here Cole is offering me a demo ride. Even though I was somewhat certain about my purchase, Cole never once rushed me or the sale. It was around 6:30pm when I paid for the bike - 30min past closing. Big thanks to the guys at CC Pure. I took my road bike to them later year to replace the original derailer hanger that lasted 10 years. In the next 2 months 2 more hangers snapped. I just took this bike into another shop for a tuneup and found out that Pedalheads either put on the wrong derailer hanger or put a used/damaged one on. In any event, the original listed 10 years and the next 2 left me stranded - one of which was on the Highwood Pass. I agree with the review on the mechanics rude attitude. I had a tune up done on a bike, the very first ride i took it on, it sounded like a broken chainsaw. When I brought it back, he argued with me that I was wrong. After 15 minutes of back and forth, he out it on a stand and properly adjusted the derailer. Don't go there for service.

He identified the problem and fixed it quickly without me having to buy a new part! He then checked the bike gear shifts and lubricated them. Finally he made sure all bults are tight too. Amazing service and great people's store. They are very friendly whether you are a bike pro or a novice. Good vibes and feel like a community store.
