I'm a CD guy so I took note of the fact that most used CDs ran from $6 - $8, with a few out of print ones or imports going for $10+. Plenty of CD box sets to choose from as well. I didn't notice any other music mediums (cassettes, 8 tracks, etc) but perhaps they were hidden somewhere that I missed. As for the store itself, the place is outfitted floor to ceiling with music so while one might be waiting in line or looking for the next place to wander the eyes will inevitably find something music-based to look at. The two older men working there (one whose name was Paul, didn't catch the other) were very friendly and talkative. They actually quizzed each other from time to time about bands, songs, etc while I was there. It was a very friendly and inviting atmosphere. Certainly worth a stop!

Walking in, you are bombarded with every toy, comic and collectable imaginable. I was ready to find anything that I can add my to husband's collection. My husband is an avid collector of Transformers. Especially anything that's a Decepticon. I found the display of Blokees. Blokees does an amazing job with their Transformers collection. But my husband has completed a majority of the collections. But I did see Tarn and didn't know if he had it so I grabbed it just in case. I then made my way to some comics right by the Blokees. Unfortunately, I didn't see anything Transformers related. So when this sweet associate was walking past me, I pepped up real quick and asked her. She navigated me to the other side of the store. That's where all the magic was. Figurines, comics and Funko Pops. I weaved through 4 different collections of Transformers Comics and found a couple gems. I'm so excited that all 6 of the comics I got had Decepticons on the covers of them. 5 were Soundwave, my husband's favorite character. They were perfectly packaged with a hard backing to help maintain the integrity of the comic. I checked out with the sweetest employees. They were all so kind and helpful! I did end up not purchasing Tarn since my husband already had it. No pressure about not getting it and the associates were kind and put it away for me. This toy store exceeded my expectations. The employees are so kind. It literally has everything you can think of under one roof. A collectors dream come true. I'm so happy we ran into this toy store! I am excited that I found some treasures for my husband. If only all toy stores could be like this one. I'm sad that my husband couldn't experience this store with me. But if we ever come back to Salem, we will be heading to this store first.

Hi, my name is Amy and I have an addiction to Newbury Comics. :-D The store was bigger than I expected but it was laid out nicely, and it was just as clean. I didn't want to touch anything for not wanting to move the items out of their rows. There was an expansive section of Funko Pop items, at the time being on sale (buy 1, get the second 1/2 off) and even though I bought 1, it was a little pricey considering the next store I went in to had some for a few dollars less. No, I didn't go return the figurine I bought, only because the next store didn't have that one. The comic selection was just as big as the Funko line and there was too much music to choose from. If I were local instead of having to worry about packing, I would have spend way too much more than I did on this trip. There were just too many awesome things to choose from. Will I be back? Quite possibly, if I am able to visit my friends who live in the area again.

It usually comes in within a couple days. The prices are good, never full list price (new books are usually 20% off, used are 50% off list price), and the condition of the used books is usually very good. I've gotten children's books, young adult novels, books for required reading in college lit classes, sci fi, horror, noir, chick lit, graphic novels, etc. at Annie's. Pretty much any genre you're looking for, she has. There are even out of print titles, so check here if you can't find something at one of the big chains. Ask for help finding your book & Andrea will always know exactly where what your looking for is. I think she uses the force. Where do all the used books come from? The customers. You can bring in any paper back books & get credit to use on your purchase. The credit never expires, but you have to keep track of your slip because there's no way to look it up. If you're anything like me, you might want to use your credit right on the spot to prevent losing out on savings. One more thing: if you bring in a truck load of books don't expect the store to take all of them at once. Apparently there's a limit (not a set in stone one, but whatever) to how many trades they'll take a day. This protects the bottom line, I guess. And if that's what it takes to have a cool little bookstore in Beverly, it's worth it. Still 5 stars. Almost forgot: it's right across from the North Beverly T stop & Nick's Roast Beef (yum). Parking is out back and there is a 2nd entrance back there. Go get some books!
