Newbury comics has the best cd prices and has all genres of music. For all the underground, or indie stuff that you can't find elsewhere, Newbury Comics is sure to have. The rumor about Nebury Comics is that it was created by two Ivy League students, that wanted to have a comic store and music, and hence here it is today. I also really like their selection of oversized posters. A must stop by place for the incoming college student. You are sure to find things to dec out your new pad. There are box sets, comic books, a few novels, postcards, gifts, candy, tee shirts... kind of a smaller version of the west coast Amoeba (spelling please). Shortly after placing my order, I received an email stating there was a back order issue. The email…read morelisted both items I ordered, and "Back Ordered" was listed by other items individually. After a couple days, I checked the order status and it still said "Not yet shipped" so I went ahead and ordered from another source. Then I'm called Christian Book to cancel the items, as the email stated I could. I was told one of the items had already shipped and couldn't be cancelled. When I told the consumer service representative that both my items were listed as back ordered in my email, she responded, "that's not what I have here" and was completely dismissive. I still have not received verification that one of my items has shipped, not have I received confirmation that the other item was actually cancelled. I will not be ordering from this company again.

The Starbucks we ordered 3 drinks, the did forget the simple syrup in two of them so it's more was definitely straight matcha which is fine, healthier without the sugar haha. It definitely took longer than other locations with no line. The cafe also offers more food the your normal Starbucks as well. Staff was alright, didn't seem the most friendly on our visit.

It's definitely a more dated store but seemingly had decent inventory of novels + great kid-friendly selection. They have a Starbucks inside, with only two workers but only one person working the front and also making the drinks. Expect a little bit of a wait because of this. We ordered three drinks: one caramel ribbon crunch Frappuccino & two iced matcha lattes w/ strawberry cold foam. Took about 10 min, so definitely longer than your typical stand alone Starbucks. Matcha lattes had no sweetener, though it normally comes w/ simple syrup but no problem, healthier this way anyways haha. My caramel frappe was very sweet + kept leaking out of the cup. Staff was okay, didn't find them to be that friendly. Overall, I can see this being a great spot to sit + read a book as it's pretty quiet in here & has drinks + food too. Just note if you're ordering food/drinks, just keep in mind it might take some time to be ready.

On every vacation we go to, we always aim to head to local toy shops. So running into this joint…read morethis afternoon in Salem was a dream come true. Walking in, you are bombarded with every toy, comic and collectable imaginable. I was ready to find anything that I can add my to husband's collection. My husband is an avid collector of Transformers. Especially anything that's a Decepticon. I found the display of Blokees. Blokees does an amazing job with their Transformers collection. But my husband has completed a majority of the collections. But I did see Tarn and didn't know if he had it so I grabbed it just in case. I then made my way to some comics right by the Blokees. Unfortunately, I didn't see anything Transformers related. So when this sweet associate was walking past me, I pepped up real quick and asked her. She navigated me to the other side of the store. That's where all the magic was. Figurines, comics and Funko Pops. I weaved through 4 different collections of Transformers Comics and found a couple gems. I'm so excited that all 6 of the comics I got had Decepticons on the covers of them. 5 were Soundwave, my husband's favorite character. They were perfectly packaged with a hard backing to help maintain the integrity of the comic. I checked out with the sweetest employees. They were all so kind and helpful! I did end up not purchasing Tarn since my husband already had it. No pressure about not getting it and the associates were kind and put it away for me. This toy store exceeded my expectations. The employees are so kind. It literally has everything you can think of under one roof. A collectors dream come true. I'm so happy we ran into this toy store! I am excited that I found some treasures for my husband. If only all toy stores could be like this one. I'm sad that my husband couldn't experience this store with me. But if we ever come back to Salem, we will be heading to this store first.

I have participated in several events that they have hosted and with the massive collection of goods, I always feel like there's something for me to buy! In addition to their selection, the amazing communities, welcoming employees and environment, it is my go to shop! That being said, while I love the store, there is one glaring problem I've been experiencing. The basement, where I usually spend most of my time, has become unbearable! The heat always seems to be on max at all times or the ac isn't ever on and this issue has gotten to the point that I can't spend more than 5 minutes without sweating. Because of that, it loses a star on my review. I hope they can fix this issue especially with summer on its way!
