    The Big Eddy Burgers

Memorial Day weekend and we ordered the big Eddy smash burgers. Incredibly delicious with choice of cheese and comes with tomatoes, pickles, onions, bacon, mushrooms, and jalapeños! The seasoned fries were perfect! We ordered in the restaurant and they brought our burger and fries down to the grassy patio next to the river. What a treat! Thanks guys

It's a tradition that we stop at Big Eddy's on our way to the CSKT Bison Range. We split the prime rib dip sandwich, and it's always delicious. We found a new menu this year, and they have dropped the name "Campbell's Original Roast Dip," but the sandwich is still there. I'm sure other items are good, but the Roast Dip is our favorite. Next summer we want to try the outdoor tacos.

My friend and I have wanted to try this place for months and finally got a chance. Service was outstanding and the food was primo. Ever try to eat a dry burger? It's yuck. But Big Eddys makes the juiciest burger I've ever tasted! And the fries were perfect. Sitting there looking out at the river was just dreamy. Thanks for a memorable meal!

We were pulling a trailer so stopped at the first parking we saw. Bid Eddy's was across the street so we gave it a shot. Terrific service, a nice selection of cold beer, and the food was excellent. We had cheesy pasta with chicken, burgers with perfect fries, and I ordered the blackened chicken salad. Crispy romaine lettuce, perfectly cooked chicken -- Really glad we stopped and ordered.

There aren't a lot of other dining options in the Trout Creek and Thompson Falls areas so I chose to stop by here. There's a nice patio outside that overlooks the water for when the weather is nice. I walked in the door and sat down at a table, and it was probably about 10 minutes before one of the workers acknowledged me. I initially just order a shot of whiskey ($4) which was warm and not appetizing at all. I also ordered the Big Eddy's margarita ($7) which was decent and not as tart as other margaritas that I've had. You can't really taste the tequila so either they do a good job of hiding it or there isn't much in the drink to begin with. For food I ordered the bacon mushroom swiss ($12.75) which was okay and nothing special. There wasn't much mushroom in the burger at all. The weirdest thing is that they use diced tomatoes and diced onions in the burger instead of slices which I just found odd. I was not a fan of it at all because you don't get a little bit of tomato and onion in every bite like you would do a sliced one. I did like the fries though; they're shoestrings so they're thin like how I like them. They're well seasoned and there are a lot of them too, but that's really the only positive of this meal. I found the food and drink a bit pricy for the quality that you get. You won't find many other food options but that doesn't mean you should lower your standards.

What a great view and food has been fantastic. Mark's burger was juicy and spicy, just the way we like it. The hot cheese dip was super melty with a nice kick too.

A fort of Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks pride-this is what passes for a Sports Bar in an Old West Ghost Town! A Dry Sports Bar! I was enchanted by all the hummingbird feeders hung out front that attracted dozens of hummingbirds from far and wide! It was a glorious sight! Now the food tasted great and I thank the great outdoors fresh mountain air for that! My son and I enjoyed a fantastic lunch of Sprag Pole Cheeseburgers and fries. Of course I had to try the old-fashioned Huckleberry Shake which was beyond tasty! The Sprag Pole also serves hearty breakfasts until noon, soup and salads plus some raved about "Chester fried chicken" and "Lloyd's Famous Baby back ribs." Dinner will get you some fine steaks and seafood dishes and there are weekend specials of Prime Rib (yummy!) on the weekends. Plenty of beverage selections and old-fashioned, malts, sundaes, floats and milk shakes. To-go orders available too, add $1.00. So, in addition to your legitimate Wild West museum experiences, the Sprag Pole Steak and Rib House adds to the overall authenticity of your visit and your stomach then gets to digest some real good Ghost Town grub!
