Stopped by here leaving Myrtle Beach heading back to NC. The reviews were like 5/5 so figured this place had to be awesome, but it wasn't. My big complaint would be the confusing layout. When you walk in the door, you walk right into anyone standing in line to order at the counter. The buffet line is right next to the cash register. Why not put it on a side wall? Second, no hushpuppies??? Is this a southern BBQ restaurant? Okay, maybe I missed them but I didn't see them anywhere. They ran out of sweet tea too, odd. The quality of the BBQ was not on a par with Eastern NC places. It really was hard to describe, maybe it's a SC thing, but texture and taste-wise, I didn't enjoy it. I give it 3/5 because I heard the fried chicken was good, and the sweet tea I had before it ran out was good, and I thought the chicken bog was very good. read more

Small BBQ buffet with two varieties of pulled pork or BBQ or fried chicken for the main part of the meal. Don't go in expecting ribs and brisket and you won't be disappointed. Could maybe pack a bit more kick and juicyess. A few good sides available. Some you would need a taste for already. Friendly staff got a good laugh of mistaking their turnip dish for hot apples with cinnamon. Good value and attracts locals. read more

This place is a disgrace to BBQ places, all their meats are boiled or pressure cooked. Nothing is smoked, how can they call themselves a BBQ place. If you are looking for a buffet with mediocre food, this is the place for you. read more

When it comes to good food and friendly people Big D's wrote the book! The buffet isn't a large one but it's the real deal! Small can be good when it comes to buffets. If you want good bar b que, this is the place to go. The buffet is limited but has all my favs in chicken bog, fried chicken, and mac n cheese. The pork chops are good when available. They have other items like corn, baked beans, and others too. This is more of a home cooking type of buffet feel and its good. Decently priced for lunch and dinner. Love the people here. read more

I wasn't impressed. The best thing on the buffet were the collard greens. The BBQ chicken was dry. The pulled pork was dry. Plastic utensils and Styrofoam plates, really?? You'd think they would put it into the food. Oh, and the fried chicken was dry too. Don't bother. read more

Sad it went from ok to great and the last time oil was bad and the fried chicken that had brought us back was not edible and all other fried food that night was so sad it was our 21 anniversary celebration My husband is sick so we had to wait one day because of heath issues Hope they changed the oil and learn not to serve it if you are not proud of it read more

Went here for the first time a few days ago. The food and the price you pay is amazing for what you get. Great quality and home style southern classics. Went back for multiple plates of their lunch buffet. Desert was also simple but amazing. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a genuine, home style cooked southern meal with a lot of love put into it. Only complaint is today it's Sunday and their closed. read more

Great place to get BBQ and some southern food. Staff was great and food is way above what you get at most buffets. We will definitely be back. Also they are open during the off season so probably a year round place. Lots of places near here are closed off season. read more

In from Massachusetts and looking for some good Southern BBQ. The great reviews online didn't even do it justice. Yummy yummy yummy!!! Pulled pork with the sweet sauce was incredible, gorgeous fried chicken, tasty sides and a dessert of chocolate pudding with cream and brownies that can only be called heaven on a plate! And the hostess was really, really sweet and filled us in on all the food. My only wish is that we lived closer than 800 miles away! Truly can not recommend higher! read more
